Sunny Sunday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Sunday!

OK, I am going to post quickly and then add more to this. Stay tuned!

Doesn't look like any other members are online--hopefully no duplicate today.

I am being incredibly lazy and sleeping in very late, so I need to somehow change my schedule so I am in bed before midnight. I see postings that a few others are having the same problems. Had blueberry pancakes this morning and made extra to get rid of the last of my blueberries. Now to head out to do two loads of laundry!!

I'm never asleep before 1 or 2, sometimes later. It's going to be a real shock to my system when I have to open the motel office by 7:30 am. And closing it at 8 pm or later. I will survive!

Cloudy here today, mid 70's today and only a low of mid 60's.

The water issue yesterday has caused my intermittent leak that has been fixed 3 times to rear it's ugly head again. It's not occurring this time if I turn off my city water and use my onboard tank. Some times it's the opposite. And sometimes it miraculously fixes itself... So I never know if any of the repairs have been worth it lol I'm better off when using the onboard tank works because I can always use it.

I'm really liking the meals from the delivery service I'm now trying. A few I won't get again, but I'm trying new things and while tasty, those aren't repeats for me (might be favorites for someone else). Two (I hate to admit) I like as well as, or better, than some of my times cooking them from scratch. It's Freshly. If anyone wants to try, they've given me a couple discount codes for me to give to friends. I will definitely be using Freshly for some of my meals while working in Utah. Learning the portion sizes I'll also sometimes order 2 of a stew, for example, then open both and repackage into 3 freezer bags. Then serve with salad or extra veggies, etc. for dinner, or as is for lunch. That will bring the cost down, too.

Lyn, I've been thinking about you since your post. Hugs to you while you figure out what's best for you. It's a lesson to all of us. I purchased the lot in Arizona and love my casita and view, but am still wondering if that's where I'll really want to spend at least 1/2 the year when the time comes. And the fact that maintenance for last year just came due and it's up 25%. That's unacceptable for me, so I need to find out why such a big increase. But at least this is my decision from the beginning. Things should be easier for us now. Hahaha

I'm another night owl and always have been - apparently even as a baby!

I solved one problem and retrieved my genealogy on my computer - long story. Got a call yesterday that a 2 day stop in Iceland is happening on our way to Ireland. Yes! High school friend's daughter has been making arrangements. Friend always refers me to her daughter and I have been totally in the dark! Contacted the daughter and just learned she had the wrong area code for texting me! I was getting a bit perturbed about not being kept in the loop. This type of thing puts me anxiety mode.

Sunny day and think it must have rained overnight because more snow is gone this morning.

Beth, if the park having a water problem wasn't your first thought, you have been mighty lucky all these years! :) Sheila, I agree you need to be warm! Velda, glad you are on the mend.

I have this jar opener https://www.amazon.com/BRIX-Jarkey-Jar- ... B07V1171RH

It was my first thought, but when I went out and the water next to me was on and I'm on a split connection where the other side worked, so I decided it was a problem with their split connection, and just mine was bad. I should have checked again before disconnecting, etc to hook to one of the others, because in that 1/2 hour the others were off also.

Beth, glad you figured out the water issue. Now to get it repaired. As you say, the tank and the pump are good to go. Good idea to exercise the pump anyway, so seals don’t dry out.

Beautiful dsy todsy, sunny and I. The mid 40’s. Lots of melting out tbere. Clouds moving in now though. Dogs and I took a ride to Houghton Lake just for a change of scenery. For me anyway, not sure about them  I think Piper would have like to stayed home. She’s not really keen on car rides. Didn’t have to stop at Camping World  No RV to spend money. Saved green there. It’s extremely windy today, gusting too as high as 40. Hard keeping vehicles on the road.

When we got home, we went for a walk around the subdivision. First walk in 4 days due to the icy conditions from last weeks rain. I miss it when I can’t walk every day. It’s an ingrained habit, part of my daily routine. Been doing it for almost 45 years, course there are days when it would be too hot, too cold, wet or snow, otger things happening, so no walk. When my mother was living, we would go with my aunt and a group of neighbor ladies every day after supper and walk the 2 miles around the lake we lived on. I still walk around that lake even though I am not living in it anymore, but just one road away. It s one of about 7 different walking routes the dogs and I take.

So that was my dsy. Felt good to get on the open road for awhile. Back to errands and house projects this week.

Weather here is weird today, sun is out then poof it is gone and rain. Then blue sky then hail. Very weird. My BFF Laura drove down to see me today. We went to Spectrum and she handled her business there then we went out to lunch and had a good visit. Always so good to see her. I will be going up to her place in a couple weeks for a few days. I know we will get together more in the summer. Winter is not always good for travel down here.

Beth hope you get your water figured out. I hate water leaks more than anything, they are sometimes so hard to figure out the why and the where. Glad you are enjoying your Freshly meals. I have friends that have tried several of those but they always ended up stopping them, not sure why.

I worked nights for most of my nursing career. But since retired I LOVE the mornings. I go to bed about 9 or 10 most nights and am up at around 5. So quiet in the mornings, I can just enjoy my cuppa joe, feed the dog, and she goes back to sleep. So then I have computer time and watch the news.

Not much going on here. It got up to 74 but was mostly overcast all day. I got my roses pruned but didn't clean up the mess yet. Roses fight back when you try to cut them. Sheila, I looked up the rose you mentioned, Shella's Perfume, and found it online. They are $80. It's been a long time since I have bought a rose bush but they were around $25. The web site said it wouldn't ship until May and Roses need to be planted now here. I see it listed on one of the nurseries in Lafayette but it doesn't say if they have any. When I first built the rose bed I planted some Belinda's Dream roses because Joella recommended them.

I have been a night owl all my life which made it hard to get up to go to work. Now Sugar makes me get up, most of the time around 7:00.

Last night they showed pictures of a walking Mardi Gras parade in downtown Lafayette. That looked like fun. There were no motorized floats, just some on wagons. You just make up your Krewe and join the parade.

Beth, I will have to check out Freshly. Most of the time when I pick up a lunch there is enough food to make 2 meals. I try not to eat too much.

I have some slip joint pliers in the camper that open up large enough to use on the sewer cap. If I have a problem opening a jar I go get them. They can probably be used as a weapon too.

Lyn, hope you can find a solution that you like. I'm not looking forward to ever having to move and having someone tell me what I should do. They try now but I don't listen.

BJ, I finally ask my sister what procedure she had on her face pain. They cut a nerve with a gamma ray knife. She said it was up around her ear. She was pain free for about 3 months and she started having pain again. The first pain was very sharp and now it's just an ache. Every time she tries to get off the pain medicine for it the pain comes back. She is going to see the neurologist again in a few weeks to see if there is anything else they can do.

They are beginning to use botox for pain relief, but it can be dangerous if the place to be injected controls a necessary function, such as chewing or smiling.

Way back in the late 80s, my mother had a horrible eyelid tic that made it hard for her to see because she was constantly blinking. She was part of a research study where she got botox injections in her eyelid and the skin at the side of her eye. Once in a while, they injected too much into the spot, and it caused her not to be able to close her eye for a week or two, so she would have to wear an eye patch. The injection would usually last a year.

Martha (or anyone else who might want to try) here's a link that gives some kind of discount on Freshly. Yes, they wrote the blurb lol
I have a feeling that you'll really like Freshly! They deliver delicious chef-cooked meals right to your door and they've made mealtime easier than ever for me. Plus, here's $90 off your first three weeks to get you started!

I don't know what kind my sister tried but she complained about the size of them... said they didn't serve enough food... Freshly's ad always looks good...
it's late with chat I don't get on early enough... guess I won't play a game tonight as mom usually turns off the tv at midnight ....
I have been a night owl for years doubt it will change
made stew today and biscuits... turned out really good other than it could have been thicker
you all have a great night
