Another Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Another Tuesday

I admit I slept in. I simply couldn't sleep last night. So it's already past noon and Ty hasn't been walked yet! He's so good. And we'll get out as soon as this posts. Wake up everyone!

I'm up, but just barely. I woke up at 7:30 am so I could go onto Reserve America and make a reservation in Colorado for this summer. Things have been booking fast out there where it will be relatively cool, but I could not get into the web site until 8:15 am. After switching out my mobile hotspots, I got in and made my reservation, recorded it on my Excel spreadsheet, then noticed I needed to clean up some other reservations. Around 9:30, I decided I was still tired because I had not gotten to sleep until very late, so went back for a "nap." Got up just after noon and have been reading in bed!! Still need to get dressed and eat, but I knew no sense in getting up earlier as it was raining heavily and is still chilly outside and inside.

Going to make some blueberry pancakes for breakfast in a few minutes. I got a rutabaga yesterday so might make pasties this afternoon or maybe not until tomorrow. Still got a lot of reading and relaxing to do.

Good Morning,

I'm up earlier than usual for me most days lately. Been up 3 hours and dragging my feet! Quite the little downpour outside my office window as the snow melts off the roof. Temps in the 40s with 20s at night. I did get myself to the grocery store yesterday. :)

A surprise e-mail from LeRoy the other day with this You Tube link of Alaska. Father and son car trip between Anchorage and Fairbanks area. Brought back memories and thought some of you might enjoy it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JN11JClxdA4. Looking forward to trying out some of the suggested places to eat when I go up again.

Irmi, if I knew your parents were first generation, I had forgotten. Do you speak German? I was a little disappointed to learn all my ancestors came before Ellis Island.

Must do something productive! Have a good day!

Hi ladies!

Anita, I spoke German before I spoke English and my first grade teacher was crazy as I was trying to speak only English. There are still lots of German words I use and Steve knows what I'm saying. And my parents and sister did come into Ellis Island. The ship they were on was retired on this trip.

It's raining and raw in central FL today but it should be out of here tomorrow and we'll be in the low 70's this weekend. My sister and bil are coming to visit Thursday for 3 nights, taking their new travel trailer on its maiden voyage to the campground next door to us. I'm glad the weather will be decent when they get here.

I’m here checking in. Spent yesterday in Kaiser Emergency. Surprise: I have atrial fibrillation! Something else to learn about and hopefully survive. My mother had it. And here I thought I was in great shape, not overweight, walking daily, 29 stairs in my home that I use daily, live alone so take care of things myself, etc., etc. Several appointments scheduled to see new doctor, etc.

Other than that, absolutely beautiful day in the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s already 77° outside my house. Unfortunately we still desperately need rain. Everyone stay safe.

Thanks, Anita. I watched that video and what memories it brings back. I wanted to call out to them in Talkeetna to take the plane ride to the top... That the clouds aren't up that high. That was amazing for me when we flew right out of the clouds. I did luckily see Denali in the park also, but have one friend who's been there 3 times and never seen Denali!

Oh, Sandi, hopefully it's nothing that you have to worry to much about. And you've been a healthy person all the time I've known you. Unfortunately we don't know what age will bring upon us.

Irmi, I've always wished people kept their original languages along with English. It's over thing I really admire about most Europeans and how many languages some speak.

I hadn't signed up for propane figured I would next week but the truck was filling down from me so I went out and called them over. I'll probably make sure I have them fill just before I leave in March.

We had a nice sunny day that got up to 70. It looks like we will have a week of nice weather but it's getting a little dry. I think I heard that one of the parishes North of here had a burn ban. I burned my trash today just in case we get shut down. I probably should water my roses.

My son called about his dog. His dog has a skin issue that sounded worse than it is. He couldn't get a vet appointment for 2 weeks. I called my vet and he can bring him in Friday. I brought him some medicine we had here. I have never seen a hot spot on a dog but that's what I think it is. It is only a place about the size of a silver dollar that the dog has licked the hair off of. It's not even raw yet.

I had gone to the grocery store yesterday and forgot my list so forgot some things. I stopped at the store to pick up what I forgot and an order of chicken gumbo.

took my tray of veggies pretty much assuming that there would be lots of veggies... other than the cups of veggie's in the Hummus so we could try the hummus and some cups of edamame it was the only veggie tray but there was so much stuff to try that I still brought lots home oh well it will keep a couple of them I wish I had the recipe for... might have to be creative and find out who made it so that I can get it... know it had banana in it as I could taste it... someone made cherry chocolate ice cream as well
knew that they were going to get on the floor and do some exercises... I didn't getting on the floor and back up isn't a pretty sight... what they did hurt my knees just watching
happen to glance out the window today and asked mom whose truck was in drive she didn't know a few minutes later my brother walked in the door... he had brought some bags of pellets over guess it was a pallet of pellets say that fast   so should be good for a week or more lol not sure how many bags that is but think we only do 3 a week perhaps hard to say as nephew comes and puts them in when I let them know that the stove is low and the can is empty...
how far Anita are you from the coast?
Irmi some of my ancestor's came from Germany as well a bit before your parents though... it is a country that I've thought would be interesting to tour... as well as Switzerland and Austria
you all have a great day
