Warm up Monday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Warm up Monday!

Postby Irmi » Mon Jan 31, 2022 4:06 pm

Good afternoon ladies!

We woke up to 35 degrees this morning, but that was much better than yesterday's 23.7 degrees. On a good note, we got up to 70 this afternoon.

I hope all of you are warm and safe from whatever weather may hit your area.

Yesterday, our Bank of America credit card was used by someone and fortunately security stopped the transaction, so now we need to get another credit card. That's a lot better than the identity theft crap we went through a couple years ago, but it's still a pain in the butt. And unfortunately, lots of the Bank of America banks are closed in our area, not sure what the reason is, but we're guessing because of Covid.

Stay safe!

Good afternoon, Irmi and all,

I have been thinking of those in the storm area this morning and concerned none of them have chimed in! Hope they are all safe.

Irmi, sorry about the credit card issue. BofA has been very 'with it' when I've had an issue.

Slept in and was surprisingly 41 degrees at 10 a.m. Sun is now coming out. We did have a dusting of snow last evening - enough to cover dog piles.

Went to the kids for football game and they brought me home before 2nd game was over because snow was coming. Monica cut my hair! She kept saying, 'That's a lot of hair, Mom'.

Stay safe!

Irmi, 35°would feel like a heat wave here right now  :)

Anita, storm didn’t affect us here of course and this next one will miss us too. Might catch a little snow but no big deal. O’Sharon said the storm missed her and Shirl said they had about 6 inches when she posted on Saturday. Peggy is in Mexico, so guess there’s really nobody to post from out there. But Shirl is AWOL today though. I happened to catch the last 7 minutes and overtime of the Bengals/Chiefs game. Think I could best you yelling all the way over here  Sorry your team lost. I think everybody here is pulling for Stafford and the Rams now, since he was Detroit’s quarterback before he went west.

Got a load of clothes to put away from the dryer, so will do that after the news. Don’t forget Rabbits tomorrow. Okay

Sue, I actually went into yesterday's game okay with K.C. or Cincinnati. I figured Bengals deserved a break. :) However, a couple players made some bad remarks afterward so I'll be cheering for the Rams as well. :) I just don't get all the public bad mouthing. Cooper Kupp is from Yakima, WA so that is added incentive. :)

I thought Shirl might have been hit with more since Saturday. Kansas is begging for moisture. I talked with my aunt earlier and it was 67 degrees, but snow is predicted later in the week.

It was 72 and sunny most of the day and then the clouds rolled in. The rain that's in Texas will be here tomorrow.

I woke up about 3:00 sneezing and my nose running. I took a sinus pill this morning but it didn't slow my nose down at all. This afternoon I took a DayQuil and it worked for a while but my nose is running again. I could have gotten my car serviced today but didn't want to spread my germs around. Hope I'm feeling better tomorrow.

Anita, it's not often that I watch a football game. Louisiana loves Joe Burrow so we hear a lot about Cincinnati now. Hope they like crazy Louisiana fans. lol

Martha, we're done with rain for the next couple days and gorgeous days expected. After that another rainy day and temps really dropping so that's probably going to follow to you, also.

No wonder I am so exhausted! My little Zip Fitbit says I walked 18,863 steps today at Epcot, which resulted in my walking 7.43 miles!! :o I was there from about 11:30 am to 9:45 pm.

So, how do I know it was accurate??? I had it attached to my pants front pocket. I guess I should test it by walking a measured half mile sometime?? Also, it says I burned 2,261 calories, so that means I can eat a couple of extra Dove ice cream bars, right??

I bought this from Amazon in 2019 and paid $100 for it, using part of a gift certificate. At the time, I liked the idea of it being small and able to be attached to a pocket, but it is tiny, so I am wondering if I should have bought something else. (It has been sitting in a drawer since then because it took me a long time to figure out how to set it.) I see the new prices on Amazon for this is $229, which I think is really expensive, but I think it is a discontinued model, so maybe that is why is shows up as so expensive. I am not going out and buying something else, but wonder if anyone else has experience with these. All i really want to do is measure distance walked, so I guess if I test it and it works OK, I should be happy.

It started out warm today and reached 70 degrees, but when the sun set, I added the thin jogging jacket and nylon windbreaker and could have used a thicker sweat shirt. Am glad to be back in RV with the heat on! Water should be hot now, so am going to shower off all the Disney gunk and do some relaxing!

been a busy day or at least it feels like it
normal routine until about 2 then took laundry downstairs started a batch and then went to get gas with my gas points I was able to get premium for 3.11 took the whole amount off so about 60 cents off per gal... helps was still 35 dollars don't know what size of tank she has but it is always expensive to fill
then home put stuff away clothes in dryer and supper just a reheat of potato soup... I ought to post the recipe it was quite good... after supper did the watch tv and 2 rows of crocheting done just put the levis sweat shirts in washer PJ's on when I get to a town of some size I need to find some more pants what happens when you prefer one brand over the others  and it's not easy to find them in short length
will have to try and remember to not talk to mom at midnight
so that was my day .... it felt busy but not so much I guess
we had snow flurries oh that was the other thing getting desperate  gathered up garbage and took it out and the can to the street :o
