Snowy Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Snowy Tuesday

Afternoon all! I think most of the snow has fallen for this round although there are still some flurries now and again. Fired up the snowblower and got sidewalk and driveway done. Came in to thaw out a bit and now I need to go back out and shovel here and there. Apparently a storm is being watched for the week end that could be a nor’easter but so far nothing concrete as to what and where it’ll go. Son’s test was negative so he went back to work Sunday evening and dealt with the crazy drivers on 80. Lots of black ice, spin outs and crashes. But a relief that he was negative so now he has to deal with the sinus infection. Appointment with the PA went as expected, nothing really but renew prescriptions and BP check which was down a bit from what it’s been running. Did make an appointment with dermatologist since I’ve never been and have a place on my leg that needs to be checked. Probably not a bad idea to just have a general check up with her. Trip to the grocery store afterwards and definitely sticker shock. Some items didn’t just go up in price a little but instead a dollar or more! Laughed at the comment about going shopping in my own deep freezer! I need to do more of that, I think! Okay, that’s it for me. I need to go out and brave the elements and finish up outside! Have a great day and don’t forget to smile!

Just got done putting. I did really good today! Beautiful day out as well! At noon, we meet up again for our lunch and more putting games and contests. That is when the wind is supposed to kick up but hopefully will hold off here for a bit longer.

I am very sore all over. My heels hurt a lot. He really dug into them and that was painful! Shoulders are sore too. Hopefully, I will feel better later in the week. I am sure tomorrow will still be sore tho. The second day after is usually worse!

Enjoy your day! :D

Good afternoon ladies from a very chilly and wet central Florida. It is currently 49.9 degrees and our low tonight will be about 48 with non-stop rain. Tomorrow we're supposed to top off about 60 degrees.

Judy, I know exactly where the campground is that you are in. We pass that on the way to Lakeland when I have a dentist appointment. We had a visit from Nan & Tina yesterday and it was so good seeing both of them. We had lunch with them and Brenda at Beef O'Brady's. More friends will be visiting tomorrow, who are from MD and go to the church I play for there.

Sharon, be careful out there in the snow, and you, too, Sue. Barbie, it's good you were able to play some golf.

Cold and rainy today, so I stayed in except to switch campsites. Need to change again tomorrow, but before I go to new space will head to Lakeland to do some grocery shopping so I won't have to do any at DisneyWorld. Wish it were going to be warmer for the days I am there!!!

Also, need to get a propane refill--using my furnaces a lot in last few days. Got electric heater going, but not quite enough. I see a few people walking dogs, but no one is sitting around outside!! I really like this campground, Irmi. Sites are huge and well-spread apart. It has a fantastic tent area, but someone posted a negative review because it was not shady enough!!

Also, i am in the process of making reservations for July in Colorado as I drive through there on my way west to my son's house. It was not easy to get a spot in Moraine Campground at Rocky Mountain National Park, and I felt lucky to get an electric site this morning for a place just west of there in Granby, CO. July is hot everywhere but elevation in places I have been choosing has been high enough to be cool, and i have been looking for electric sites, just in case it is hot, so they are very popular. All federal so discount, also.

Barbie, you ought to write up a review of that massage place and also call the owner to complain. You should feel better after a massage, not WORSE!!

The putters outing was fun! I didn't win any contests but it was fun trying. The organizers did a great job.

The wind held off until just a little while ago and it has been picking up some now.

I am working on my gourd project. Am painting what I hope will be the final coat, an iridescent clear coat. Then the embellishments go on!

I remember being in Florida for my birthday one year, visiting my friend Cathy. We went to Universal Studios and had to wear at least 3 layers of clothes to stay warm! The next day we went to SeaWorld and everyone wanted to sit in the sun at the shows to keep warm, instead of under the big roofs. They were pushing around the ice cream carts that were selling hot chocolate instead.

A big 41ft diesel pusher just pulled into a lot across the street. That lot has been empty for as long as I have been living here. This RV barely fits on the lot. The roads are windy and narrow around here so it is a challenge for the big ones to get into the lots without a lot of back and forth.

Back to work tomorrow. I hope I am not too sore by then. Could be a long day otherwise!

Florida is probably getting the rain that came through here yesterday. It rained all day and there is only 3/4 inch in the rain gauge.

Not much going on here so I went to Walmart. I changed the air filters on the central unit and needed one of them. The larger one that goes in the door was $17. I need to pay attention to the price of things. I could have gotten one of the cheaper ones. The neighbor got the water turned off that was coming from his well. Now to see if the plumber shows up. Another day of waiting. I guess I could clean house. I thought the belt had come off the vacuum and was looking for a screwdriver to take it apart. Decided to try it again and it worked.

Louisiana is going to let people bet on sports. Now the ads for betting is as much as the personal injury attorneys.

put socks on tonight and my mom says feet must be cold I replied back I cold always cold... :( besides the light in the other room where I like to do my Swedish Weave cause of the light but it's also warmer.... that is the room where the pellet stove is...
changed my sheets and washed a couple loads of clothes got the three rows finished on my Swedish Weave ..actually I have only about maybe less than 10 rows to do on it... so guessing I will be through in a couple of weeks if I maintain working on it every day :P then the hard part starts... the finishing part... ugh not my favorite part to do
we didn't get snow which is a good thing my nephew who takes care of the sidewalk and driveway... his daughter has COVID as well as I think he does... not not sure if that is assumed or been tested for.... so we won't have them over for a few days... when my family was here on Sunday I had my grandson bring in an extra bag of pellets... am hoping that it will last as long as needed
well I am cold and going to go make me a cup of hot chocolate...
you all have a great day..
Barbie the only massage I've had is at a massage school I know of a chain called ENVY I think is the name but don't believe that they are therapists but also know it's for females as my dd used to go to them ... hope you feel better soon

Sheila, just nothing to say. But at least we saw the sun today and got in a couple decent walks. We needed them. Otherwise just another day in front of the TV most of the time. Clouds coming back for tomorrow. I'm hoping the sun peaks through enough because it's also supposed to be high 60's. With sun that would feel marvelous.

Martha that's about what most of the rain here did.... Probably not great amounts but never stopped and boy after a few days like that we were still dodging mud everywhere near the canals I like walking near. Some of the water birds were happy for sun also. I saw egrets and a great blue heron hanging out in the field opposite the canal and a king fisher made an appearance. I heard him long before seeing him, though. They are over of the few birds I know the sound ... Not at all beautiful lol

I'm going to be sorry when I get to Utah and have to be up early every day. I'm back sleeping in and not going to bed before 2 or 3 or even later.
