Good morning! Sun is out but it’s cold! I’ve been watching this storm and looks like this afternoon it all comes in. Think I’m as ready as I can be. I’m supposed to have annual doctor appointment tomorrow morning and I’m seriously thinking of rescheduling it. I may not even be able to get the gate cleared to be able to get the car out. Depends on how much ice we get on top of the snow! The winter storm advisory changed to a warning which is what was expected according to local weatherman! I have a small pork roast I want to put in the slow cooker for dinner later so hoping we don’t lose power in the middle of it cooking! It’s been awhile since we’ve had this kind of storm. At least in this part of the country they’re prepared for it unlike what the southern states are dealing with. So that’s about it for me so far today. Just a quick check in with you all. Hope you all stay safe and have a good day. Shirl, I keep thinking butterfly garden and this to will pass and the butterflies will come back!

Good morning. Foggy and 38 outside. We were foggy yesterday morning and then after lunch the sun came out and we were 53. So we will see what today brings. Nothing much on my agenda today. Still just pacing myself and taking it easy. Just had some breakfast and will get a shower after while. Kitchen cleaned up so now just need to make my bed.

Shirl I will be anxious to see how your garden grows. I love experimental things. I planted some seed potatoes last year in some grow bags and they were a big flop. I think they needed some shade and they were in full sun so will relocate them this Spring. Sharon hope you dont get hit too hard with the storm.

Morning, barely. Just got home from town. Was -6 with a real feel of -15 when I got up around 7:30. Now up to 17. Ran out of painters tape yesterdsy, , so ran up to get some and quick trip to Meijer to pick up a few things. Stopped at Culvers for lunch and now heading Into bathroom to finish the last bit of taping and get with the painting.

Looks like a doozy storm hitting the southeast and those of you in the east. Sun is shining here and clouds are moving in though. Nothing exciting in the forecast. Stay safe out there in the storm. Off to the paint.

Good morning ladies!

Just hanging out in bed for a bit before I get up and ready to go do haircuts. Is anyone having issues with FB this morning? It is doing weird things on me, blank pages, missing info on some pages, etc. :?

Sun is out so hopefully I will get some "solar" energy and get something done this afternoon! I am getting some ideas for another gourd project...

That is about it for now. Enjoy your day! :D

...update!

Just sold my golf cart!! Yay! Now I can order my e-bike! :D :D

The sun came out but it's still cold. It's 40 so not nearly as cold as up North. It was so windy last night I could hear things being blown around. I put the heater on in the bathroom but still haven't gotten dressed. I don't think much will get done today. Last night I was looking at the big cat tree. CC was the only one that used it and he got evicted for peeing in the floor. If it's not too heavy I think I'll move it to the old house and CC can have it again. He is such a trouble maker. He will be walking by another cat and just slap the other cat and take off. There are only a couple of cats that will play with him until it gets too rough. I'll see one of them chasing him but he's fast.

Barbie, I was having trouble with Facebook too. I never know if it's my computer or Facebook. It wouldn't scroll right or would just freeze up. I tried closing it and that didn't help.

Just a report on Butterfly Gardens. Here in Florida Monarch butterflies were observed yesterday dancing around Birdie's garden here in the village.

Thanks Tina, I thought the butterflies wintered in South America. Since I am avoiding the news it makes me happy to think of butterflies. Daughter texted that the seeds were in yesterdays mail. I will pick them up when the bad weather has passed. Really appreciate the seeds and the miles they have traveled to get to me. :D

The majority may indeed winter over some where else but just like some of us...there are always the wild ones that make up their own schedule and choices!

Tina and Shirl, you've brought a big grin to my face.

Nothing exciting here except after another night tossing and turning then I fell into a deep sleep around 8 and didn't wake again until maybe 11:30! And when I did Ty was sleeping soundly against me. Such a good boy.

Monarchs are hanging around here in north Florida longer than usual. There is a population that winters in central and south Florida every year.

Lazy day, but had a good long talk last night with one old friend and then this afternoon from another old friend. (There were four of us who taught at the same college almost 40 years ago. Wow!) Tried to call the third friend this afternoon, but had to leave a message. And as with most people our age, lots of catching up on things like hip surgeries, falls, and other medical things.

Been thinking about my tooth today and have decided that on Tuesday, I am going to try to find a dentist that will take out the last couple of "hanging" stitches so I can cancel my flight up to Ohio next weekend. It is not comfortable to eat or even drink with loose stitches. I try to tuck them out of the way with my tongue, but they really need to come out. There are several reasons for getting this done here by another dentist:

1) I don't want to wait another week, and my incision is already 14 days old, so likely to be healed enough. Originally, before I had a last minute switch of doctors, I thought I would be getting dissolvable stitches and would not need a second trip within three weeks, anyway. I also cannot find anyone else who ended up with a mouthful of super glue and stitches that needed to be removed, let alone kept falling out.
2) I really do not want to fly on four different flights with a crowd of people with COVID so bad.
3) The trip will cost me about $400, which i really do not want to spend.
4) I am really tired of this whole thing with my bone graft. I looked online and found quite a few dentists who would do emergency same day appointments at reasonable prices. They can't mess up just removing a couple of stitches, can they??

One reason for being lazy today was that we had heavy rain for several hours, and it was chilly afterwards. Good excuse, right?

Judy, I think it would be smart to find someone local to remove the stitches.
