Wed Morn

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wed Morn

Judy, I hope eating starts getting easier for you. That no fun.

I have an HEB pickup today and will fill the cars gas tank. Exciting day lol It's another cloudy, damp day but should be gorgeous tomorrow so planning to do something tomorrow. Maybe just go to a local park and do some birding. I have time to decide and a list of things to do. It's time to work on that list! And quit being a slug so much.

Good Morning!

And the saga continues! All I saw was snow being piled on top of snow yesterday. Roads are apparently icy this morning. Watching people trying to walk through the mess so apparently sidewalks aren't even being cleared now.

Beth, I went through several of those slug days! I've made headway recently and have decided to give myself today off or at least do something I want.

I am glad to hear I am not the only slug on here!

I went to sleep at 10:30 last night and just woke up at 10:30 this morning! Must have been all the stress from work yesterday!

Need to get up, wash my hair and go do that haircut. Then the library. Then tackle the X-Mas stuff.

It is another overcast day which makes me less energetic than on sunny days, but I need to get to stuff anyways.

Anita, sounds like a big mess there! Good idea to just stay home and watch the chaos from inside!

Enjoy your day!

Afternoon All, little warmer today but very windy. Hit the road, picked up trash can, Walmart was almost deserted, then groceries. Sun was shining and it felt good to be outside so drove to Lowes for potting mix for winter sowing. Walmart had Miracle Gro but I read that fertilizer is harmful to butterflies. I have several jugs to plant so will go to #1 daughters garage out of the cold. It is difficult for me to breathe wearing kn95 mask, really wipes me out so think a nap is in order. Be safe

Slept in this morning and my tooth was feeling MUCH better. I think all that super glue was irritating my gums and the incision, which was really almost healed. After cutting loose the first hunk of super glue, late last night, another piece came loose and was hooked to some stitches. I wiggled it back and forth as the dentist recommended, but it would not come loose, so I went for the fingernail scissors again. I think a stitch came out with it, but it really feels so much better. No bleeding either time at all, so I could not have done much damage.

Anyway, went to Amazon lockers and picked up a new cord for my remote rearview mirror/backup camera I had ordered. Also, picked up the splitter box for my rear TVs so they won't flicker. Plus, I got gas and a ton of groceries--including soup and crab cakes, which are both soft food. Actually, today is Day 9 so I should not need soft food for much longer as it feels a lot more healed. Only soft food when wound is open, so maybe by Monday, I can have that pizza!!

Still raining and chilly (for Florida) today, so not many people out and around. I had forgotten how bad the traffic is in Florida during tourist season, and to make matters worse, my GPS took me through nothing but neighborhoods with narrow roads and lots of overhanging trees coming back from Walmarts. For some crazy reason, it was trying to take me to a country club. Had a line of cars behind me, so had to pull out phone and use it to find the right route. My old GPS cannot be updated and has maps from 2016. I think it was trying to take me to this state park, but was taking me to an imaginary back route which no longer exists.

I didn't get the motorhome washed again today. One of the ladies at the campout last weekend use to work in Abbeville so she stayed all week to visit friends. I picked her up and we went to Lafayette to have lunch with other friends. We went to a Japanese restaurant I had never been to. Then we went to the Starbucks in Barnes and Noble's and talked for 2 hours. Maybe tomorrow I will get something done at home before I go to Lafayette again. I have one of the Meetup meals tomorrow night.

Judy, glad your tooth is feeling better. I'm trying to remember what happened to the green shirt I was wearing in the picture you posted yesterday. Clothes have to be in bad shape before I throw them away and I don't remember where it went.

Beth, wish we had HEB stores here. Keep me updated on the date you will be at Karen's.

I guess I belong in that slug club... although I did do something today... a load of wash done need to go get it from the basement though trip to the grocery store and post office
finally got my granddaughter's charger sent off and there was even mail in the box... so not an overly unproductive day... just not the most productive one... hopefully the clothes are dry one of mom's pj's tend to take longer to dry....
I feel so insecure when walking on the snow/icy streets/sidewalks sure don't want to biff it :? and they don't seem to plow close to the side walks or the snow from the sidewalks go into the street... some roads feel like they are about 11/2 width
I don't know if it's because I am in the evening that I hear mom complaining more or if it's just for my benefit because she sure ouch's the evening away... if I get it right it's her legs that are hurting so don't know what it's all about don't know if it's her "A" working over time or just that she really doesn't move around a lot to the bathroom to her chair to the dining room to her chair some times to her bedroom for something back to her chair... one of the reason's she is better off at my brother's house it's a lot bigger and my sister in law nags a lot better than I do...
at breakfast I told her I was going to wash some clothes and wanted to wash the top that was on the counter of the bathroom sink didn't see it thought perhaps she had put it in laundry basket.. nope she put it on... when I mentioned at supper time that I wanted to wash that top she reply's back what about yours I said it was washed and back on...what happens when it's cold and you have 3 sweat shirts... so I 'm pretty sure if I suggested walking more she would look at me and say I should as well but I do walk more than she does although granted not anywhere as much as I should..
then she comes up to me and says I see you have flushable wipes in the bathroom (have had for a long time just in a different bag) she goes on to tell me that the city doesn't want them flushed down the toilet I told her I know that she has told me that many times I actually said a gazillion times guess I was in a mood... oh well need to take it in stride...
need to do something that sounds like fun it's just if I bake cookies I'll eat most of them same with about anything I might bake...
oh did something else installed a 9 volt battery don't think I've ever done that before... need to figure out how to change the battery in the smoke alarm as well
you all have a great day

I actually got stuff done today! After the haircut, I went to the library to pick up a couple books. Stopped at the Casino across from me to try out the pizza at the Pizza place there, and then to Rocky Mtn Chocolates there. Got some chocolate covered toffee and fudge. Brought that home for lunch. Pizza wasn't anything to write home about, neither was the fudge, surprisingly. The toffee I have had before and was delicious!

Finally got to taking down the X-Mas tree and other decorations and packing them in bins. Those will go under the house tomorrow. Need to vacuum the deck and put back the furniture out there.

I helped my neighbor lady bring her groceries from her car to the house this afternoon. She is somewhat handicapped so I always try to help her even tho she will never ask. Later tonight I noticed flashing lights outside and ran out to see what was going on. She had fallen in her living room again. The firemen helped her up and into her chair. She said she was OK, just "bumped her arm some". She is a tough old Texas lady and won't ever complain about anything. Me and my other next door neighbor are always worried about her.

Will continue tomorrow with my list of things to do.

Update*** Just found out we had a 4.5 earthquake tonight. I didn't feel anything but heard something fall on the floor near the couch. Am thinking that that was probably what made my neighbor fall tonight. She said she just lost her balance but I bet it was the earthquake. A lot of people are talking about it on our park's FB page, and how strong it was. I can't believe I didn't feel it! Funny thing is I was thinking earlier today that we are about due for a small earthquake. Premonition??
