Ok but how do you make whatever you drop them into? I have baked and fried chicken but this seems to have gravy, right??

I remember mom making tomato soup with dumplings... I think and I maybe wrong it just needs to be a brothy soup not chunky ... meaning a thick soup  I think my mom made it using a biscuit recipe not the bisquit mix... as I really don't remember her using it that much... have actually heard of using tortilla shells maybe to make those slickers??? but when I think of dumplings I think of the fluffy ones... so couldn't picture using tortilla shells...
you are doing great with your redo Sue...it really opened up the bathroom
my daughter stopped by had supper with us... added chicken to the butter chicken I had left over and tossed into the freezer... was concerned that it would been somewhat curdled but all was well... and dd took what was left over home...I usually don't serve something more than twice... but enough chicken in it was glad she took it home with her...I had to laugh I asked her to go to a store and pick up some cheap kleenix should have said get several as she brought 1 box and a small one at that I was hoping for a bunch... oh well and the last of the Christmas decorations are gone and the family photo's are on the piano...
she is also going to get another monitor so she can work from here occasionally which would be nice...
last time I looked at the phone the temp was 0 not looking forward to looking at it again...on chat I was complaining about being cold sister says turn up the heat like that will happen...
it's one of those things if the furnace is up over 65 then the pellet stove won't turn on and the unheated room won't get as warm as needed so what I need to do is take myself to my room and crawl under the heated throw
did get my nap in a bit longer than I planned but was up in time...
I am sure Catharine you had a terrific day I have never had a great desire to go to Paris but if it was offered I'd for sure do it...
Beth not sure what to suggest to get over dull drums ... dd suggested a book for me to read it was titled I think the Book wouldn't you know it can't think of it but she did say it was good   I will have to ask her again... she needs to tell me how to use her account at library the one in Victor thinks I'm her or at least a few years ago they would welcome her when I cam into the library... but then I have a huge bunch of books to read and the pile isn't getting smaller when I add 12 to it each month and only get perhaps two a week read some times three...
started another Debbie Macomber book going to be good...
Anita a thought on your decorations for your holiday tree... if you can still find Christmas deco look for bulbs that are pink I have some to bad they are in the trailer I'd send some to you...
you all have a great day

Judy you have to boil the whole chicken for the broth. Here is a link to a recipe that is almost like we used. Leave out the bouillon cubes the carrots, onion and celery. Also you don't want the broth thick. Great served with mashed potatoes. I think Cracker Barrel makes them this way.

I'm sorry you are having so much pain with your dental work. I still have pain from the trigeminal neuralgia although it's not as bad thank goodness. I blend or drink most of my food that isn't super soft. I use a Nutri Bullet. My breakfast is milk, toast pulled into pieces, yogurt and almond butter. I blend that and warm it up and drink for breakfast. I can manage scrambled eggs if I add yogurt to make them a little easier to swallow. I've gotten creative but sure would like a ham and cheese sandwich on French bread. I also blend pecans for cereal or to mash up with a banana.

Shirl, actually you can used cooked chicken. My husband made us dumplings, using Bisquik, in Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup! The key is soup boiling when you put in dumplings , cook uncovered 10 min then covered 10. Directions have long been on the side of the Bisquik box, and I'm betting they have them at their site too. Best to have fresh Bisquik.
