Snowy Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Snowy Wednesday

Morning. 23° With a light snow falling, Winter Weather Advisory till tomorrow morning for windy and 3-6 inches. Good day to be inside. Lakeshore counties under Winter Storm Warning for as much as 9 inches and 40 mph winds. So quite the varied winter weather today.

Had a good productive day yesterday. Cleaned the house, went and turned one of the pieces of the sign around so the trees lined up better. Nobody else probably noticed, but I did. Redecorated my ladder just a bit, need to find more colorful hat for one gnome. Took dogs for a walk and got a load of laundry done. Made a couple phone calls to remodelers for getting old garden tub out and regular one put in. Time to get inside house projects moving along. Stopped by neighbors to see the bathroom color she painted in her one bathroom. Called SeaFoam. Really like it. Going to put it in mine.

So today is going to be a bit laid back. Not even dressed yet. Heading for shower after I finish this and then I want to go through rest of stuff from trailer, some going to Goodwill, Extra 30 ft. Power cord and Surge Protector will get put on Marketplace to sell. Have a few things in the house to add to the Goodwill stash, then will have weeded out everything but what I am actually using.

Then I can start prepping that bathroom for painting since it’s going to be pretty cold for awhile behind this storm and go from there. Have some spots behind the washer and dryer needing paint since I have a tad smaller washer than old one. Thought I was out of the paint, but have some. This is a new year, time to get this stuff done.

Off to the shower. Have a nice day all :)

Morning All, cloudy and 39°. A little snow in the forecast for tomorrow. I want to take the balcony Christmas decorations down today if they are dry enough. Will try to save the fairy lights so will be a careful unwrapping. Will think about where to do that since it will make a mess. Have an appointment this morning so no other plans. Be safe

It's 52°, grey and cloudy/foggy here. I'm dressed for Curves, and will head there when finished with my pre-workout electrolytes. Handyman due here soon. I need to pick up my RX at pharmacy in grocery store and pick up a few fill in items. Going to start sous vide on a vac sealed pack of stew meat for weekend (recommend is 24-72 hours for this cut). Should be interesting. When I return home, I'm going to see how far I can get with remaining stuff to be sorted and donated, trash, or stored elsewhere until kitchen/dining floor is done. A bit concerned where we will store the 9 large items until floor is complete: the oak hutch, table, 6 chairs, and my big Costco rolling cart of canned goods (which when all else is done will be put back in pantry, once it's emptied of old stuff and cleaned). Not a lot of space in living room at moment! Guess I should get the tree out too! lots to do in next few days! My kitchen feels so much bigger!

Completed 4 hours of remote supervisory training for the scoring center this morning and afterwards checked my phone to find that the RoadTrek was finished and ready for me to pick up. Back at home and ready to check the storms moving through tomorrow and the next few days and will decide which window of traveling south might be best. Will let you know. What I do know is that bottom is expected to drop out of our temperatures here in SW Ohio, just incase I needed additional motivation to drive south.

I'm my mind I wrote here this morning. I know I read the first two posts. Maybe I fell back asleep for a bit because it was later than usual when I got up. Strange. I had nothing I had to bed up for so no problem lol

I like my new site. It's a dead end road so no traffic except us few down here. I back up to the fence and the "road" outside at this end is down to a single lane gravel/dirt access mainly used for a few who go down that way for fishing and mainly those of us with dogs. And I have a king fisher coming down that road and sitting on an electrical line near my site. Love that!

Laundry is in the washer, about time to move to dryer. Just doing some little home tasks. Need to check my propane to see if I want to get on the delivery list for tomorrow or wait another week or two.

Judy, I hope you have (had) a successful trip back to your home on wheels.

Karen, glad you are feeling better. I thought I had a scratchy throat when I was in town but I must have been dreaming. Every twitch makes me think I'm getting sick. lol

I went to Walmart to pick up some things for the campout and cat food at the feed store. I usually charge the cat food so don't pay much attention to the price. I noticed that the price had gone up so I looked back through the bills for the year. A 40 pound bag of cat food has gone up $10 in a year. They better start hunting.

I don't know what we are having at the campout so I made a cheese ball to bring. I talked to my sister and she's coming. I was going to get some fire wood but forgot. It got up to 79 today but the temperature is going to start dropping tomorrow and might freeze tomorrow night. Then it will be back in the 70's on Saturday.

my refrain for the next I don't know how many days/weeks/months.... I am so cold!!!!
it's only 21 out better than what it was a few days ago...
the pellet stove hasn't been lighting up so got with my brother last night and today... he told me last night that I needed to see if the "pot" behind the glass window's was full...it took a bit to figure out how to open that area up and it was full full to over brimming thought I had gotten it all cleaned out still didn't work I even re-cleaned the bin that I had cleaned earlier this week.. and under it finally we decided that this panel needed to be opened and cleaned out put in a call to my grandson to see if by chance he was working in Jackson today he was but they were already heading up the pass told him to turn around and come back lol but as he said normally he would but they were hoping to get through this window of time before the pass was closed due to weather... so called a neighbor and before he called back my nephew came in and he unscrewed the panel and vacuumed it out still wouldn't start at all red light wouldn't even come on discovered he had plugged the vacuum in instead of the stove... so did that and it still didn't start... so brother said perhaps the holes in the bottom of the pot was plugged... so dug in again only to find that I had not gotten all the ash out I'd gotten the pellets out but not the ash so got that out and nephew came back in about then so he took a screwdriver to see if any were plugged... and turned it on again.... success!!!!! :o so very glad brother had made an appointment to have someone come out and work on it.. on Jan 10 :? really glad it is working... we knew if it didn't work it was the igniter process of elimination... guess I will need to start cleaning the pot out when I clean out the bin each week... learn something new much more than I wanted to know about pellet stoves...
while doing that I actually pulled out my Swedish Weave got 1 full row and 2 half rows done... been so long since I'd worked on it, it took a bit of pondering to figure out where I stopped at... if I was smart I would put a post it saying what the last row was. even told youngest dd that I should as we were visiting on the phone during that time... doesn't look like much was accomplished but felt like it was... left my Swedish Weave out on the couch so that I can perhaps work on it tomorrow...
The fish and chip food truck is going to be in town at least according to FB so think that is what we will have for supper tomorrow night.. think I will also get a few things from the store might make Adobo for a meal this weekend...need to look at the recipe and see what all I need besides meat... been awhile since I've made it...
I am going to cut and paste that recipe...
hopefully it will work out ok that way... I'm not sure how to resize it though so if anyone wants to go ahead and do it...
you all have a great day

Was very busy at work this morning for a couple hours and then it just died until early afternoon. It stays pretty cool in the shop, mostly because we are just inside the main door of Walmart and it has been cool especially in the mornings. The WM greeter lady has been wearing a winter coat, with a knit hat and scarf! She sits right outside our entrance. She must be a native Californian  . I think a sweater is sufficient.

Got a message today from the TNR lady that she is doing a clinic on Friday night. So I got in touch with my neighbor who is trying to trap the kittens and their parents. She has a trap also. But then just a little while ago, I got another message that the clinic was cancelled because the vet has Covid. So will have to wait until the next clinic in a week or two.

Shoulder is a little sore tonight but not bad. I need to start doing my strengthening exercises again to build up the muscles. One of my customers has a bad shoulder that is beyond even being able to fix with surgery and he plays golf 3 times a week. He says he does exercises every day to build up the strength around the joints and that enables him to play golf pain free. I need to get back to that.

Time for bed...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
