Happy New Year!

Last night I was watching Anderson and Andy and decided to have a glass of Blueberry wine. I will have to write the name of the wine down because it was so good. Most wine I put ice in it so it will water it down. Went to sleep sitting in my chair and woke up right before midnight so remembered rabbits. Hope that makes this a better year.

Catherine I forgot you were going to Paris. What a great way to start the new year.

Congratulations Carol and Bill. It's amazing how fast the years seem to pass.

Tina, I have my computer connected to a large monitor too. It makes it easier to see. I don't know how people do everything from their phones. If you make it South my driveway is always open. The other night at the Meed Up Micheal and I talked about the time we went to eat with you. Our meeting are usually eating and spending an hour talking about restaurants. I like the idea of having a tow car in case of trouble and having a place to put things. I think about getting the CRV fixed to tow. Of course, most of the time I'm not that far from family that could come get me. I would just never hear the end of it if I had to call my son.

I am watch the Rose Parade, kind of, mostly on the computer. It is 81 and very windy today. I have to be careful if I open the storm door that the wind doesn't jerk it out of my hand. Tomorrow night it's suppose to freeze. That means I need to cover the faucets. It probably won't freeze here but but not worth taking a chance. I put some cabbage and pork chops in the slow cooker. It's a new recipe so don't know if it's a keeper or a delete. I'm sure it would have been better cooking it on the stove but I'm lazy.

Barbie, glad you are feeling better. I am sad about Betty White too.

Happy New Year All, I am sitting here alone as the daughter is very sick with the bad cold going around. She is staying at the boyfriends home. I feel fine…hopefully I will not get sick.
She and I drove up to visit my son a few days ago. He has had two sessions of chemo and felt much better that day.
It was quiet at midnight around here after a couple of loud bombs earlier in the evening.
Catherine, thinking of you in Paris. Thanks for reporting in.

Happy New Year Everyone,
I am dreaming of going to France and having coffee & a croissant with you Catherine!! I'm so happy you are having a great vacation.
Shirlv, congratulations on posting a picture. Luca is absolutely adorable!!!
Not much here gloomy weather, rain supposed to turn to winter mix during the night. The virus is so bad now here no one who is being careful wants to be out. I think most cases are a result of people getting together over Christmas.
I did remember to say Rabbits but think I did it on the 30th maybe I'll get half credit. Off for a nap while Pippa is sleeping.

Found the source of the banging noise outside. Walked around the house to the other side and discovered a metal door on a box that was open and banging back and forth. The water heater is inside that box. Got it closed and fastened. I was worried my metal awning over my bedroom window was loose so am very glad that was not it.

Martha, the float representing Louisiana was beautiful!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Happy New Year. Feeling a bit better today but was out of drugs YIKES so took a shower and went to the Pharmacy. Loaded up on cough syrup, Mucinex, Benadry, cough drops. There were only a couple of people in the Pharmacy. I kept my distance from everyone. Of course I had my mask on. The other people did also. Thinking about something for lunch but you know how nothing really sounds good sometimes.

Of course rabbits didnt even enter the equation today. I was just pretty happy I woke up LOL
I am sipping on a big glass of orange juice, gotta get my vitamin C. Happy anniversary to Bill and Carol, and a big congrats to Shirl for mastering the posting of the pictures.

Barbie, I missed the Louisiana float on TV so looked it up online. For some reason I don't think our Governor likes Billy Nungesser our Lt. Governor. Billy Nungesser took on tourism when he was elected and he has done so much for our state parks. Right now they are installing full hookup at the sites at the state park near me. That is going to be nice. Some of the state parks had a lot of damage from hurricanes the last two years and required a lot of clean up and repairs.

Happy New Year!
Catherine, love that you are having such a great time! Karen, glad you are feeling better. Shirl, so glad you can post photos. Now if I could find some way I could without Anti-virus telling me no. Congrats to Bill and Carol! December 30 would have been our 55th anniversary - oh what might have been.

I set my phone alarm for 11:58 p.m. so I remember 'rabbits' at midnight. :D Still very cold here - to be 7 degrees tonight. 18 right now. This week has been one of the most relaxed all year and I pretty much gave myself a vacation from thinking/organizing. Will get back to the real world tomorrow.

Happy New Year! I did remember to say Rabbits shortly after midnight. We had the grands here last night so Ryan and Ashley could attend a wedding. We had their favorite meal…chicken strips (that really impresses their beef producing dad!) and French fries with peppermint stick ice cream with mint filled Oreos for dessert. After multiple games of Candyland, Memory and Old Maid finally got them to bed around 10. Getting Haddie into the bedroom at 10 means she’ll finally go to sleep in about an hour. But then she didn’t get up until almost 11 this morning. So that was my exciting New Years celebration. Colder than hell here. It was -10 this morning with a feels like -24. I haven't left the house today...probably won't tomorrow either!

Wishes to all of you for a healthy and happy 2022!
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Happy New Year!!!
pretty much a lazy day although we were surprised with visitors .... we didn't expect anyone so was lazing around in our Jammies... heard the door bell ring and someone come in at first thought it was my grandson and his family but the kids voices weren't right so slipped out to see who it was ( I was doing stuff like scripture's then playing on FB might have even started to color a page) saw that it was one of my nephew's so returned and quickly got dressed... they had spent a few days in Lander with his dad and mom and were on their way back home. so brought take out for them and then a short visit... was go good to see them ... it's been awhile for sure before the pandemic hit... I too would love to go out and not wear a mask and be able to enjoy setting and visiting and not worrying...
it's been so cold here down to 7 right now not sure what it is with the wind chill factor.... supposed to be -3 at 9:00 AM so not looking forward to that it will be warmer when I go to church though up to 11
for breakfast at 11 we had finger food cheese ball crackers shrimp summer sausage and Martenelli's a change for sure.
didn't wake up to watch the parade not sure I would have been able to find it even if mom wanted to watch it... I would have but some times it takes forever to go through the guide to find what you want to see...
Congratulations Carol and Bill on your anniversary...
when we would have celebrated our 50 anniversary... I knew what I wanted to get me... finally located it the other day .... now I just need to bite the bullet and get it...
Caroline enjoy your raining days of your trip to Paris... I bet you are so enjoying the time there... and hopefully you will be able to get home ok.. makes one wonder with the recent cancellations of the flights... my son and his family are on a cruise flew to FL and am on their ship now hopefully they will make it back ok...again because of the flight cancellations
back to the weather ... it was a beautiful day here the sky was blue and high puffy clouds hence the cold!!! remember as a kid wishing it was cloudy or snowing cause it was sooo cold...
some commercials are just weird by the time you watch what they show you and wonder about it it's over and you don't know what they were even advertising. there are several like that...
Made peanut butter pie for Christmas just had another piece so good even a week later you would really like it Beth... Another I need to put into my recipe file...
glad you are feeling better Barbie ... And hopefully Karen you will soon mend as well... I am still coughing a bit still go through times of feeling congested
here's to a great new year may it bring each of us all that we want wish for or need
