Glad you started up the fire again. I got some dry wood and also brought some chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven. I'm gonna sit and relax for a while too!! Fire sure feels good and I love watching the flames!!!

Just stopped in for a break and thought I'd share this little story I saw online.

A woman came home to find her husband in the kitchen shaking frantically, almost in a dancing frenzy, with some kind of wire running from his waist towards the electric kettle. Intending to jolt him away from the deadly current, she whacked him with a handy plank of wood, breaking his arm in two places. Up to that moment, he had been happily listening to his Walkman.
Still think you are having a bad day?

I got the campfire blazing and pulled up a few extra chairs and a couple loungers for anyone who stops by. I'm making some tater salad too. Gonna have some kosher hot dogs and I even picked up a couple bags of fresh marshmallows!!! Gotta check my taters!!!!

Hmmm, I could eat a roasted marshmello! Thanks. And maybe I can find a glass of wine somewhere around here too! Fire feels good tonight!

looking for that bottle of wine, I know its stashed around here somewhere.
My darling little Gracie, the spazzz that she is was playing with her stuffy
toy so hard she knocked herself over with a big tha bump! she got up screaming
and ran under the chair. Little brat would not let me check her out, she kept
screaming at me and tried to bite me! I finally coaxed her out with treats and
she seems to be walking just fine but she definatley wacked herself somewhere.
She still won't let me touch her, but I got a hold of her and gave her a dose
of metacam. She's not limping but when I try to touch her front paws she
still tries to bite and when I try to touch her back legs she still tries to bite.
So I need a couple glasses of wine to calm my nerves, that little girl is going
to be the death of me. :? Her drugs should be kicking in soon and I can relax.

Oh, no.... :o the fire was almost OUT!! So I stirred the coals..threw on some small stuff to get the flames going again, then built it up again...now it's going nicely.... ;) Ernie stacked some more wood for us and I cleaned up a little....put fresh ice in the cooler in case anyone wanted some for the wine and of course, did a beer count while packing it with ice....got to keep it nice and cold... ;) So now we'll take a couple beers down and sit for awhile.....Sooooooooooo....

94 bottles of beer on the wall.................94 bottles of beer......

Oh, wondering if the "Ididaroad" gals are going to stop in for a visit here at the campfire..... ;) Haven't heard from them in a couple days....

Sitting and taking a break by the fire. Have to work all week but am taking Friday off to head down to NC for the kayaking/white water camping trip plane by my daughter...... She called last night to ask if I had a helmet....gulp...I did remind her that I was a rather inexperienced kayaker.......she has such faith in her ma...but she id say she wanted me to practice a wet water exit on Friday nite in the lake before she ship out to the river on Sat..... Waiting to hear back from one of the puppy buyers to see if she was able to arrange meeting us in Asheville to take the pup the rest of the way to Raleigh. Need to go out to the MH tonight and take out the remaining bench seat, it hangs over the aisle so much farther than it needs to to sit one. I hope to replace it with just a small box to provide for the heater, etc. Let me take a sip of that wine, I an still operate a screw driver under the influence......

Tina, you're really getting into this kayaking thing! Good for you! I used to race canoes, but have never done any wild white-water rafting or kayaking.....not sure I even want to! I hope someone gets some pics of you in action!!

If you shorten your seating, can you still make your dinette into a bed, if you ever wanted to? I suppose you could if you kept the pieces you cut off from both benches and store them underneath in your basement, to use for supports if you ever wanted to make a bed. I have often thought that those wide benches are a waste for just Molly and me. I have even thought of taking the entire dinette out and just making a computer desk there! At this rate, the chances of my getting young grandkids who would come camping with me while I can still navigate are very slim! Sigh....and to think I used to give those baby-makers condoms in their Christmas stockings!!

However, one night in the rain, my kids and I played games on the table and even needed to add a third chair at the end!

Show me a pic of what you are going to do, if you would? Or a pic of it after you wield that screw driver and wine!!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
