Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Welcome 2022! Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone!

It's 10:41 AM here in Paris! So I've had some coffee & a croissant. I hope you help yourself to some special this morning.

Haven't had time to check in lately but wanted to wish you all a wonderful 2022.

I extended my stay for a few more days but have already seen nearly all the "must-see" places here in Paris, spent 3 days in the countryside visiting chateaus & experiencing Christmas eve & morning with my SIL's mom & 97-year old grandpa. It is amazing here - but as we all know - there is no place like home.

Will share a few of the 1200+ photos I've taken once I get back.

I hope everyone is well & looking forward to 2022.
Take good care of yourselves,
Catherine

Happy New Year everyone. Imagine celebrating in Paris! Wow! Here in So. Cal. two of my sons, one significant other, and I watched Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen on CNN so we could watch the ball drop in Times Square at 9:00 p.m. our time. I put out a spread of finger foods on the coffee table and we toasted each other with ginger ale (full disclosure, I had wine) and went our separate ways to bed. Exciting, huh?

I hope 2022 is a better year for all of us.

Good Morning everyone. Another new year is upon us. And time to make a good start by chiming in as it’s also Rabbits Day. Hope you all didn’t party too hard last night  I was in bed long before the clock struck Midnight. I see mom nature is throwing a party of her own. Tornado warnings in KY, big Winter storm moving eastward slow but sure, this one’s gonna miss me, otber than just a trace to an inch :D So, O’Sharon, I imagine you will get something from this one.

Karen, sorry to hear you weren’t e sick. Hope you are feeling better. I know there is a cold type virus going around as I had it for a few days this past fall as did my Neighbor. . He got tested and came back negative, so we figured it was a cold. Acted like one too. Barbie, hope you are feeling better too. The Moderna booster seems to cause reaction in some people. I had no problem, but then I had The Johnson one.

Shirl, there is an easy way to post picture on the IPad to the forum here. If you take pictures with both your IPhone and your IPad, they will download on each other if you have Upload to Photo Stream checked in the ICloud settings. That will store in your photo library on both. Go down to the Maintenance/Tech issues thread on the forum here. There’s a thread called “Finally, A New Way To Post Pictures”. Click on that tbread. It will bring up a link in the thread. Click on the link. When that opens, click on the blue box that says Select. That will bring up a box with three choices. I use Photo Library which brings up all the picture I have on my IPad. I just click on the one I want. The picture comes up in a box that says USE in the upper right hand corner. I click on USE, a box will appear with a link in it. Click on the link and then COPY. You now have your picture ready to post. Back out, go back to Morning Coffee or wherever you want to post, hold your finger or cursor down on the page till PASTE shows up, hit that and your picture link will post to your post. You won’t see the picture itself till you hit either Preview or finish your post and hit Submit. It might sounds a bit complicated, but once you click on that Finally, A New Way to Post Pictures, it’s pretty easy. . Just follow the prompts. One word of advice. Do this before you start your original post, otherwise you will lose it when you back out to go to the Maintenance/Tech thread. You can insert your picture anywhere in your thread.

Still working on the sign. Will finish the last of the painting today, then make a final check over and touch up where needed. Will spray with some acrylic sealer and it will be ready to be put back at the sub entrance. Probably not till Monday as it’s only going into the upper teens for highs right now. Time to get busy on in house projects now and take a break from crafty stuff for awhile.

Have a wonderful New Year’s Day everyone and best wishes for a Healthy, Happy New Year.

Happy New Year to All - for once I did remember to say Rabbits. Here in Mazatlan it has been raining most of the night and still is raining. I don't know if it started after midnight or before. There was a huge party in Centro for New Year put on by the city. Hope they didn't get rained on. Or maybe good if they did and all went home.
Today is also our 57th wedding anniversary. How has that much time managed to go by so quickly. We kind of want to go out to dinner today, but not sure what is open.
Hope this is a good year for all of us - be able to get out and about without "the virus" hanging over our heads. Meet up with family and friends and just sit and visit. Like before.

Happy New Year everyone! And Happy Anniversary, Carol and Bill. It's also my sister and bil's anniversary today.

Ty woke me up scratching and licking himself this morning before 7. He didn't want to stop so I got up and took him out. I guess it was his way to try to not wake me up because he had to poop! Funny guy. I may even try to nap today!

Catherine, your Paris trip sounds heavenly.

Happy New Year Everybody from beautiful Kino Bay. Carol, it started raining here on Friday and by Saturday afternoon we were surrounded by ankle high puddles! Then the wind blew….one of the sheets of iron covering the patio started to lift up and flop back down!! Today the sun is shining and all is well. Two young couples spent the night on the beach. They open all the car doors, crank up the stereo and party. Such is New Year’s Eve here…

Catherine, I love, love, love Paris. It’s a long story, but a few years ago a Frenchman had a place here and he built an oven and made bread and croissants. He and his wife have moved back to the States for health reasons, but Marta ,who runs the office, married a man from Morocco and he now makes the bread and croissants, but only on Saturday. So today I will have coffee and a really good croissant.

Be happy and enjoy today. Peggy

Happy New Year everyone!

Shirl, congratulations on posting the picture! Catherine, enjoy your vacation in France. Carol, happy anniversary to you & Bill! Peggy, continue enjoying Kino Bay! Beth, I hope you get a nap in. Sue, your help with posting pictures must have helped Shirl. Evie, I'll bet that wine was good. Velda, I know you're looking forward to the completion of the remodeling you're having done. Karen & Barbie, I hope you're both feeling better soon.

It is 77 degrees before noontime in Central FL. Brenda, Linda & Sandy came to visit us yesterday so Sandy could see our casita and talked non-stop until they left. Neighbors in the resort are coming over this afternoon for their first visit of the season so I need to get munchies and finger food out.

Enjoy the first day of the year and stay safe.

Happy New Year ladies~~~
Just a quick check in to wish everyone a happy, safe and healthy new year. Didn't make it to midnight. Feel asleep around 11:30, but did remember Rabbits at 5 a.m., then wished Punk a good year too, but I think he slept thru it. ;)

Happy New Year everyone. May you make it through all the possibilities and make it a great one. The bar from last year is not that high.

I finally sat down at the computer and watched the four hours of required training videos for possibly working any of the 2022 contracts at the scoring center as a supervisor. No procrastination on my part. The company also required a half day of virtual training during the first week of January. The good news is that if the RoadTrek gets repaired I don't have to stay in Ohio to sit in on it as long as my MIFI, laptop and monitor are working. Have van and electricity and I will have training opportunity. I am not sure how I will pack the monitor safely but since it is basically a TV if something breaks, it will not break the bank.(Keep reading and you will see that the bank has already been broken) I just can't imagine taking the training on my small lap top screen. I am spoiled at being able to read the larger screen through the HDMI cable. I will also admit to taking on a subscription to Apple +TV and the ability to watch shows on the larger screen is attractive to me. I alway said that we who travel in RVs manage to find room for what is most important to us. Am still contemplating traveling with only two dogs and maybe leaving Audrey at home. She has slowed down a bit and loves her naps and quiet evenings more that I do and has proven herself to be happily adaptable to where ever she is. About the kayak/s, there is another choice to be made. I may just bring the inflatable. I will probably tow the Honda behind the RT. It doesn't make sense perhaps because one of the delights of the RT is that it has such a small foot print but when I had engine trouble with it in TN, it was a relief to know that if it had had to be towed off, the dogs and I had a safety escape capsule. All this brain investment in thinking may be for naught depending upon how long it take to repair the RV. There is a large amount of Cha-Ching $ involved and getting the parts in. My mind has it worked out that as depressing it is to spend that much money for a repair, I need to be able to drive it south as part of my mental health recovery plan. Lark is good with that. She is hoping it means that she can take me on some more hikes to support what health and stamina I have left. I will keep you posted. If I go it will be a throw thinks in the rig and get out of the driveway sort of maneuver. There is some in freedom in knowing that extensive planning is not necessarily required. I have my mental list of what can't easily be replaced while driving down the road....a list made so much stronger by driving off to dog shows or travels without certain items.....There was the times years ago I headed off to see Sarah in Huntsville with only the sandals on my feet for foot wear. There is a Walmart for that but....you get the idea.

Off to do regular but boring things of everyday life, read the rest of my current library book and take an expected nap later with the dogs on the couch. Happy New Year again. We made it around the sun one more time and since we really can't guarantee what the next year will bring any of us may you explore the possibilities of each day, enjoying every once of them you can (especially if it involves trips to Paris!) but don't forget the dog snuggles and the visits with a porch friend or reading one of Martha's stories.

Happy New Year! My night was quiet as will be my day today. I did remember rabbits last night an the wished Rascal a happy new year! He wasn’t impressed! Shirl, great photo posting, I really need to take the time to figure it out too! Sue, it’s 53 and rainy here so far. Temps forecasted to plunge tomorrow night but rain all day today and most of tomorrow. I would like to see some sun but not looking good for the next few days! Karen and Barbie, hope you’re both feeling better today. Beth, sometimes I wonder how much longer I would sleep in the morning if Rascal didn’t decide it was time to get up so he can go outside! And then he goes back for a morning nap! And I’m up! Congratulations on your anniversary, Carol and Bill! Tina, hope you can make it out of Ohio for some warmer and sunnier territory!
Btw, I finally replaced the ink toner and it worked! So far so good! No error messages so I take that as a win! Otherwise not much else happening for me. COVID numbers going way up in my county so will pull back even more and choose wisely where I go. Hoping for health and safe travels for everyone in 2022!

Happy New Year everyone!

Feeling better today! Arm is still a bit sore at the injection site, but otherwise am feeling more normal this morning.

Am just watching the Rose Parade. Would sure like to go to Pasadena to see the floats when they park them for viewing. Amazing to see all the detail and the flowers and other organic materials they use to decorate every inch of the surfaces. Luckily, the weather is sunny there today after several days of heavy rains.

Still pretty windy here this morning. Was blowing hard all night. I heard something banging around during the night. Not sure what is was tho. Will have to take a walk around the house later and see what it might be. Temps are supposed to head into the low to mid 70's later in the week! Yay!

Am so sad to hear of Betty White passing yesterday  . Just shy of her 100th birthday on Jan 17th (we share our birthdate!). What an amazing, funny, compassionate woman!

Have a great day and great beginning to a better year!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
