Thursday December 30

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday December 30

Morning All, another cool rainy morning. No plans for the day except a few household chores. Had a fleeting thought, organize the walk in closet, nah, will save that fun project for January. Have downloaded library books to the Paperwhite so guess will read while the washer churns, groans and pops. (Don’t like washers without agitators). Still searching how to post photos to this site from my IPad. Be safe

Good morning Shirl, and all who follow. Sun is out intermittently today as we begin a few days reprieve from rain. Everything is so green! I'm heading to Costco for few last things for NYE and NYD. We do appetizers and mine will be back on track with my zero carb, while I'll fix a few others for son.
Kitchen floor is about 1/3 done, and hope today fridge goes back into its corner, out of middle of room! So far, I like the new luxury vinyl plank. No more waxing floor! Terrazzo color hides dirt! Easy to wipe clean. I'm going to move my battery power stick vac into kitchen, so don't have to drag hose from central vac out. Did not think I'd really love the earth tone colors, but it goes so well with cabinets. Definite upgrade from 90's sheet vinyl!
Have a good day everyone!

Every one must be busy today. I didn't do much until this afternoon. I had one of my Meet Up meals. We went to La Madeline which is a chain I think. It looks like a lot of their dishes have cheese. I had a cup of mushroom soup and quiche lorraine. I came home with half the quiche, a ham and cheese danish and a slice of coconut cake. I think that is somewhere I will go again.

I wish medicine and other things would print the dose or directions first in print you can read. They try to put so much information on bottles that I had to get a magnifying glass to read the directions on my hair conditioner.

No big plans for New Years Eve or day. My son said his girlfriend doesn't eat the traditional food like black eyed peas, cabbage and cornbread so I didn't need to cook. Suits me.

Judy will you tell me what the name of that devise is for the medicine bottles?
sounds like it was a good place to eat Martha
and Martha you need to post pictures when it gets done... part of me would like to go with wood looking stuff in the trailer as I plan on getting a dog again but I'm also not sure if it would work with the slides need to consult with someone who does that but this isn't the time I can do it.... guess there are more important things needing repaired in the trailer first... I actually saw curtains in a catalog that I think I would like in there...but need to look at them again maybe when I next get to go home...
which won't be for awhile as it's in storage for the winter unless I figure out some way of going to Q for 3 months... still hoping :D
tried making an omelet tonight it was sorta not the prettiest.... it didn't roll as it should have...
got to brave driving on the snow packed roads tomorrow mom needs prescriptions picked up and we so need groceries... guess I out to work on a list that is started...
you all have a great day

My manager didn't work today but a manager from another shop was there. She is very nice! And the new gal worked for part of the day too. She is fresh out of school but is older, so more mature and motivated. I had her watch me as I did haircuts. One was a very A-symetrical high-stacked bob! Very short over the ear on one side and very long to the shoulders on the other side. It is a tricky haircut and one they definitely don't teach in school, so she was really paying attention to what I was doing. It was very busy this afternoon so the time went by quick.

After work I stopped at the pharmacy there to get my Covid booster. From there, I stopped at the liquor store and got a small bottle of Bailey's Irish Creme. Then stopped at the Italian restaurant and ordered Baked Spaghetti. Haven't tried that before but figured it would be easier to divide up into separate meals. While that was being made, I drove to the other WM where my prescription was at and picked that up. I actually got a 3 month supply! I feel very relieved! Then I drove back and picked up the baked spaghetti order and went home.

I am feeling very tired tonight, like I had taken a sedative. But so far, no pain in my arm and no other side effects. Will see what tomorrow brings. I have no plans for the weekend other than to watch the Rose Parade Saturday morning.

Oh, I also bought a box of Bailey's Chocolate Twists at the liquor store. They are very good! I have had Bailey's chocolates before but didn't care for them. These are much better!

I am grateful for where I live now. It will be -20* below zero back in MN next week with -40* below windchills! :o I sure don't miss those days!! I will take 118* over that any day! And they had 20 tornadoes back on December 15th! Crazy!

Martha, I agree about the tiny print on everything! I can't even read the print on the bottles of product at work! I need to get a magnifying glass for work!

Bedtime for me and Lola...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Sheila, it's Velda that is getting a new floor but I would like to see pictures too. I would love to take the carpet out of two of the bedrooms but when I think about having to move all the furniture. My son and I changed the floor in the living room. It took both of us an afternoon to pull all the staples out that had been put in the pad. Be careful on the slick roads.

Barbie, I saw the picture of the cats using the bed. I had gotten one like that for my cats but the dumb butts would get on top of it.

I have, in progress pictures, but they don't make it to this old iPad I use for our group, so can't put them here and I wont have my house on Facebook. I'll try sometime to see if I can put them up via newer iPad pro. I can tell you, while Luxury vinyl plank is beautiful, it's very stiff, so not sure how joints would work in a RV, which, by their nature, flex and move. Also it's fairly heavy in weight, so you would have to take that into consideration. There is no gluing, so cutting must be very careful to maintain the click together joints. It's nice stuff. If I recall right, I paid about $4 a sq ft.
