The Last Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

The Last Wednesday

Good morning. Last Wednesdsy of 2021. Tge Year is winding down. If you have anything you wanted to do this year and didn’t, you have two more days left after today to do it

Cloudy and 30 degrees this morning. Some light snow during the night. Looks like less than an inch. Will know more when I go out.

Shirl, saw your post about carrying your stuff in a little bag when you are out. Check this website out. http://www.fusion belt.com. I have one of those belts and I live it. Carries my wallet, keys, cell phone, mask etc. and leaves my hands free. The material doesn’t bunch up or get saggy. I’m going to order another one as soon as they get them back in stock in my size, supposedly next week they said. I wear it during the warmer weather when I don’t have a jacket. You can wear over your shirt or under it, which is what I do. Out of sight, hands free and nobody evens knows I have it on. This mine

Can you tell I am wearing it, it’s under my polo shirt

Out to clean off the decks and see if drive needs it, then back to painting on sign. Piper has vet appt. this afternoon, she won’t like that. Booster shot time.

I wear jeans everyday and my RFID card case in left pocket, keys in right and phone in holster clipped to waist. Good to go. If need mask, it's on or in left pocket. it felt very weird at start of 2020 when things blew up, to not carry a purse, because I saw so many women whose purses probably carried millions of germs because of how they set them down various places! What got me, was the ladies wearing sometimes both mask and face shield, plus gloves ( which touched everything), yet their purse on their arm then in shopping cart, then in their car then home on counter or table. It was weird, but I've not missed any of the extraneous junk I used to haul in my purse! All that weight on one shoulder my chiropractor tried for years to get me not to do. Took a pandemic to get me to stop carrying the stuff! That cloth thing would drive me nuts, as did the brace I had to wear for my back recently.

Sue, I have something similar but smaller. I also have a fanny pack so I can carry a few more things with me.

Well, no storm here yet...sunny and calm this morning so far. Just checking the radar and it looks like the clouds are just building and moving east towards the coast now so it probably won't be here until tomorrow.

Hoping I can get things done around here today. Feeling pretty good mentally and physically, and have a lot of catching up to do!

Got a text message from my manager this morning that we have a new stylist starting. I hope she isn't right out of school and is a good stylist with a good attitude! (I know, a lot to ask for! ).

I need to soak Lola's paws. They are dirty and the pads are very dry. And her nails are getting long. Will clip those once her feet are clean. She won't be happy about it but at least she doesn't need a full bath. Altho, I might get one while trying to keep her in the sink for awhile! :o

I go back to work tomorrow and then have 3 days off. Tomorrow after work, I will get my Moderna booster and then pick up an order of spaghetti to last me thru the weekend. I already got a frozen loaf of cheesy, garlic toast to go with it.

Have a good day!

Afternoon Sue and All. Gloomy and 46° Had an early morning errand. Came back to find huge moving van in front of apartment entrance. A tenant moving out and the movers are unmasked and monopolizing the elevator. Gave them wide berth and got on the elevator as soon as they got off. I was wearing a n95 mask so hope it was enough and I did not breath their germs. Sue, I couldn’t access your posted site but did look up fusion. My old elderly Fanny pack is similar but not as sleek. Lol My handbag in the ratty bag is a very small crossbody which I wear in stores. I need the old bag to get in and out of the building. SUV is a mini garage and I am usually replacing something so easy to throw in the bag when I remember. Took a bag of soup out of the freezer for dinner and a couple homemade gift cookies for desert will be nice. Be safe

Sue, Velda & Barbie, I am familiar with the fanny packs but all I carry is a wallet. I don't need my phone in the store. Steve has the keys in one of his pants pockets or when I go alone, I do the same. I used to take a pocketbook but realized I was taking too much heavy STUFF with me. No more. Since we've been retired, it's just the wallet and it works for me. Shirl, you chimed in the same time I was trying to post. Wish it was a little warmer for you on the shore.

We're above 80 degrees this afternoon and it will be the same tomorrow when we visit Brenda and Linda for appetizers and dessert.

Stay safe.

Yesterday they started predicting a freeze for Sunday and Monday night so I decided to go winterize the camp today. I wanted to get it over with before the weekend so I wouldn't be on the road with the holiday crowd. I woke up about 4 and never could go back to sleep so got dressed. I didn't want to leave in the dark and it was foggy. I headed out at 7, got up there before noon and got home at 5. All of that on about 3 hour of sleep. I bet I can sleep tonight.

Sue, I like your quilt.

Still waiting for the big storm...Zzzzzz
I could see the dark clouds and rain coming over the mountains this afternoon but guess they haven't gotten this far yet. It is a very slow moving system so that is why the rain and snow predictions are so high. Will see what I wake up to in the morning...

I discovered these bins today on my patio that were filled with water from the rain we got last weekend. I didn't realize we got so much rain! (even tho a lot of that came off the roof at that spot, but still a lot of water in those bins!).

Got 3 large loads of laundry done, the trash taken out, and picked up books from the library. On the way home from the library I saw a modified horse trailer and then I noticed there was a camel in there!!

This morning I looked out my kitchen window and saw this. I bought this cat house on sale to give to the outside kitties for Christmas but gave it to them early since it was cold out. Neither cat would go in it, until today...Gray Kitty peeking out! (saw Spooky in it later today. He does whatever Gray Kitty does).
Image

Got a message tonight from Walmart pharmacy that they have a refill for me on my meds. I did find one pill on my bedroom floor while cleaning today and took half of it. Will take the other half tonight and pick up the others tomorrow after work.

Just saw the updated forecast. The storm is moving more north and will miss us here. I should have washed my car today, darn!

Almost 3000 new covid cases just in my county today! . Am hearing there are more kids getting the Omicron variant, and also more pregnant women worldwide who are dying from it (probably not vaccinated). Glad I am staying home all weekend.
