Morning, Sharon, and all who follow. I have lived in northern California for more than 40 years, and have lived about 80 miles or so from Donner Summit all of those years. One time, about 20 years or so ago, a friend came for a visit and wanted to go to Reno (Nevada) to try their luck on the $$slot machines$$. It was late summer as I recall, so no road worries on Interstate 80 (which is closed last night due to blizzard conditions).
As we approached Donner Summit I began to tell my friend about the Donner Party. This person was always kind of prickly anyway, and as I finished the story they began to get a bit angry - they had never heard of the Donner Party, and thought that I was lying to them.
There was nothing I could say otherwise without escalating the situation (by this time this person was almost steaming), so I just kept mum.
. . . That is, until I made an unscheduled exit off of the freeway. . . I had remembered that there was a memorial there, and decided that my friend needed to see it, whether they liked it or not.
At first my friend was still unbelieving, but as we pulled into the parking lot (memorial signs everywhere) and then walked through the small exhibit (there used to be a building there, I don't know if it is still there anymore or not) the truth of what I had said became undeniable.
Suddenly, it was my friend's turn to remain mum, LOL, although I could see they were still seething.

My printer’s been telling me for months that it was low and it really meant it finally the other day! Ordered ones that are supposed to work with my printer so sure hope they do. I saved a bunch of money by not getting the name brand ones. Fingers crossed and hope they work!
I have a Canon ink jet printer whose "official" Canon cartridges cost about $35.00.
Each. And there are four of them. And the ink in them seems to last about a week.
About a year ago I got tired of this, and went on Amazon and purchased a "set" of off-brand inkjet cartridges that included
four sets of
four (total of 16 cartridges) for about $19.00,
total.
Of course, all printer manufacturers say that if one tries to use off-brand inkjet cartridges in their printer, the printer will be toast. I didn't care, I was fed up with spending a couple of hundred dollars a year for inkjet cartridges, and at this point didn't really care if these cartridges "toasted" my printer or not, because I was about ready to toss this dang cartridge-eating printer anyway.
The upshot of this long boring story is that the off-brand cartridges have worked just fine over the last year, with no problems at all. My printer continues to hum away, and is definitely not toast.
I hope that you don't encounter any problems, either.
