Let's start our day with a good morning here.

I think I'm odd man out here because I have enjoyed some Hallmark movies for scenery, decorations and happy endings. Some actors and story lines get turned off.
I agree. I've been watching some on Hallmark and others on Lifetime and enjoying most. Ok, so tlmany story lines are similar. I'm enjoying happy endings, as predictable as they are. And loving the scenery. It's a nice change from the news of the world that's the opposite (and just as predictable).

Sorry about my last post. I got interrupted. I didn't even realize it got sent until I came back now to finish it lol

Tina posted on FB with her dogs dressed for Christmas. I decided to get my old Santa hat out and just get a picture of Ty with it on his head. He was not a happy dog and disappeared to his bed and acted like he was being tortured... Which you can see in this picture:

I - mostly - agree with all those who have posted mentioning the sameness of Hallmark Christmas movies. It is this sameness that caused me - several years ago - to just give up on the Hallmark channel and cancel my subscription.

Except for this one: "A Dog Named Christmas".

Here is a preview of the film:

This one is different, truly heart-warming, and, yes, features a dog in a primary plot point. Even better, it completely lacks a the usual girl-meets-boy storyline.

I don't know if it is still on Hallmark, or if it can be watched elsewhere (YouTube, maybe?), but if you can find it, it is well worth watching. I have seen it more than once.

I heartily recommend it.

I am not flying out until Tuesday noon, so I am hoping things will not be so unsettled in the airways by then. California family will be in Ohio, but leaving on 30th, or Thursday, so will just have a day with them. Then I will get dental work done on Jan 3rd and fly out the 4th. Two of the days in between, but which ones I do not yet know, I have agreed to watch my three Ohio grandkids while parents take a two-night break.

Had a really nice long talk with one of my cousins tonight. She lives in Coral Springs, so I don't get to see her often. She let me know her brother has CLL, so I gave him a call and then sent him some websites and online info. He is just in the beginning, but has been reassured by his doctor that he will almost certainly not die from this cancer. It can be very shocking to be feeling fine, and then told by your doctor you have a form of blood cancer, but not to worry! Anyway, I sent him to a good forum full of people who have been through a lot of treatments over the years as treatments have progressed.

Did bed and bath linens laundry today, so tomorrow, I am going to just focus on riding my bike around the state park and taking photos of birds and alligators!

I was going to say that I saw that movie    Ok my issue with Hallmark movies is the repeats but with that said over time I usually get to the the whole movie might take 4 or 5 times watching it to accomplish that ... actually though watching one right now I don't remember watching ... but still a new one comes out on Saturday night and by the following end of the week you have been able to see it at least 3 times!!! that is my problem... the tv schedule here is price is right at 9 o'clock then Hallmark one or the other then news then two game shows.. then Hallmark... till the tv goes off about 12 midnight ... I had hopes up the other day mom asked me what I normally watch after Wheel of Fortune I said depends upon the night (this was Thursday night) so I depends upon the night tonight wouldn't be much till 9 then Bull it didn't happen I think it would be fair if I got to choose one show that I enjoy per night right? after all she sleeps through a lot of them anyway... but it is her tv her house and her remote... :?
I accomplished a bit today 4 pies, 1 raspberry jello salad, honey butter, made supper sure it was a container of soup I pulled out of the fridge and reheated, wrapped a gift and took a trip downtown for naught... I thought I'd go to the bank wasn't open oops then stopped at all a dollar they don't carry boxes of Christmas cards and one cashier and a long line even if I'd found something other than the box of cards I'd not stayed... and to get down town I drove through snow took the Journey it's stays outside and sure had the snow built up on it... got in touch with a neighbor and they came and shoveled the walks and driveway... sure was nice of them... was willing to pay for it.... but they didn't want that... so tired tonight even wrapped a gift I accomplished all I had on my list... I think I over cooked the pecan pie they said it would be giggly in the center the whole pie was still giggly so added time and more time finally just took it out.... it set up hopefully it won't be to hard to eat :o
when we lived in SLC we didn't care if it snowed up in the mountains as that is where it needed to be as it would then melt into the water sheds but if we had snow down in the city it just melted and flowed into the great Salt Lake...we have had a snow storm come through suppose to be for several days.... and it will be heavier up in the high country... which is were it needs to be but yes it will be a white Christmas... tomorrow three of my daughter's will be with us my eldest with 3 of her 4 daughter's 2nd daughter not sure how many will make it but husband has to work so he will come for dessert and 3rd daughter guess her son will be with the in laws.. possibly brother and maybe two of sons but not counting of any of them as they are all in "hospitality" businesses...
well you all have a terrific night
Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you
