Sorry to hear about Brenda's fall. I try to be careful but it can happen so fast. One of my step-daughters fell and broke her leg a few weeks ago. I never did hear how it happened, just the comment that she couldn't believe she was so stupid.

I wouldn't say that I'm a fan of the Blues but Irma Thomas was popular when I was in college. There are a few of her songs I like. Last night I had the TV on LPB and there was a show about her. I have been to see her perform a couple of times. I seldom listen to music because it makes me too sad. If I listen to anything in the car it's the Cajun station KBON. I can't speak French but I have always liked the Cajun music.

A couple of the clubs I belong to want to have zoom meetings. I don't know how to do that and don't know that I want to know how. I am done with meetings. My son's ex-wife wanted to do video chats. I don't want to do that either.

The roofing company actually showed up with the roofing. Still don't know when they will do it.

I went by the property in Maurice and hallelujah they had finally bailed hay. I was afraid I was going to have to find someone to mow. I'm glad the grass is growing slow because the yard is wet over there.

The bad weather is suppose to be through here before noon tomorrow. The worst is suppose to go North of here.

Whining alert! I felt good yesterday because the three mosquito bites were healing and had stopped stinging and burning. I stayed indoors all day except to take the trash out, which involves a long walk. I put on long pants and walked quickly. Nice breeze, so I thought it was OK, but by evening, I my left ankle was itching me, and by bedtime, it had three red spots, almost touching each other, and was swollen. I think a mosquito flew up my pant leg and chomped on me three times??? Do they do that? Anyway, I took a dose of Benedryl and put on some anti-itch cream, and got into bed by midnight. Long story, but I ended up not being able to get to sleep until 8 am!! I used the ice packs I keep in the freezer, and took another dose of Benadryl, and even some Advil for the stinging. So, I slept from 8 am to noon, which was OK, but not a good night's sleep. By this morning, bite area was even blistered!

Anyway, did three loads of laundry today. They have two washers but only one dryer, and even though I started around 3 pm, the lady before me had problems with getting her stuff dried, so I ended up not being done until 6:30 pm, which is way too dark and late. Put on repellent, long pants, and a hoodie sweatshirt. I guess I need a full insect body suit! Maybe rubber bands around my ankles would help, along with a heavier dose of repellent. :x

Has anyone tried the wrist bands? Maybe could put a couple around me ankles???

Judy, that actually sounds more like chigger bites. I know they are around where I'm at here, but so far I've avoided them. I got those once doing weeding and hope to avoid them (and weeding lol).

I forget who mentioned they hope my DMV is better than theirs. That's one area SD is great in. I did my payment online yesterday and got an email today that my tags are printed and will be in the mail Monday. I'm hoping the post office does their job but I'm giving extra time since I'm not in a hurry. I scheduled my mail to be forwarded late next week and hopefully I'll have them by before the end of the month or early January if Christmas mail delays anything.

Martha, I like the blues, but am picky about it. I'm more picky about country music. And as I get older I'm more picky about most music lol. I'd be happy to stick with the oldies from the 60's and 70's with some 50's thrown in and maybe some 80's.

I had ID channel on they were doing a segment using body cam... one officer's name was Officer Bride... I wonder how he lives that down...
Maybe it's in the air the grumbyness anyway.... I know that I have been today... left Lander went to Walmart in Riverton stopped at Walgreen's on the way if you can find them try Popcorn Indiana black and white fudge drizzled not noticed the fudge drizzle till just now... discovered it in Q a couple years ago at the General store... then at Walmart some but quite often at Walgreen's so wanted that as well as this stuff I put on my toes seems to be helping spent a lot at Walmart expected I wanted a different shower head for mom's shower so got that found a electric throw for her for Christmas I am almost sure she won't use it but oh well ... also got a baby cam for when she gets back home... then went to a place to get gas... it kept stopping and I was in a hurry so finally gave it up thought I'd stop somewhere else... as I really wanted a full tank... but also didn't want to get out of the car... I was in a hurry at that moment I would have wished if I'd remembered that we were like Oregon and had service enough of this self serve stuff... so I am going down the street and there is a Maverik gas station yes I will stop pull in and put my card in and it tells me to do something which I couldn't figure out... then it tells me to go see a cashier well fine needed to go potty anyway so go use restroom get cookies pay for that then try to get gas it won't read the chip try it several times then get declined couldn't understand that as I just paid for cookies...they are really good cookies  so why declined so went out to get some cash give them 40 I don't yet know the ins and outs of this car so can't guess what it would take well it comes to 30 something have to go back in for change if I swore I would have been by now... it's getting late and although I knew I wouldn't get here before dark I didn't want to be really late and didn't want to be where the animals were late evening... hear phone ping so some time down the road I pull over to see if it was important one wasn't the other was the bank questioning my purchase and that declined was for 100 I hadn't even told the cashier how much I wanted to put into the tank... so stewed about that a bit but I got home mostly stayed at spend limit (in the park after dark it's 45 MPH hate that but did so mostly some snow on the road but not bad it's a very long pass... I ought to google it and see how long it is... then I get here and cause it's easier I want to use the garage door so come into the house and out the garage for some of the stuff that that I need and or shouldn't stay out over night like those geraniums that jumped into my cart.... and my nephew had move mom's car over why??? can only guess to make it easier to get to the snow blower... but it's so close that it was really hard to get by quite frankly mom wouldn't be able to get out of the door... so think we will have to work out something!!!! so my grumbling took up more space than all your others put together...
made some ramen noodle soup for supper quick easy hot and we had it ... jazzed it up with curry garm masuala and some better than chicken and corn and peas.... tasted really good... will have to remember that in the future...
Mom is doing really well not sure when she will get out of pt but will be home for Christmas for a few days... I so need to get busy on this house so she can be here when she can be and if she can come to my aunt's funeral I need to get busy... hopefully dd will come tomorrow and help
in the mean time you all have a wonderful day and yes it is early my ..... is off I normally don't get on computer till around 9 but wanted to see about the bank thing so did that first so it's just off

I saw the ad on Yahoo... something else I wanted to mention and now I forgot even came back not only to read what was posted after mine but to mention oh yes... Brenda so sorry she fell and certainly hope that she is up and about soon... I know that sometimes those falls set us back a bit

Judy, could they be fire ant bites? I get those here and they turn red and blister. I don't think mosquitoes will bite several times in one spot like that.

Now I have been wondering what "special" gift to buy myself for Christmas. I like to buy something I dont "need" just "want'. It is kind of a fun thing to do...

I do that too. Not sure this year what I want either.

I have been making counters all afternoon. I was missing a color I wanted, gray beads, since there are a lot of Seattle Seahawks fans here. I thought I would make a few counters with gray and blue colors on them for that team's colors. I ran back to Hobby Lobby for a small bag of those. Still need to make a sign or two for the table.

I have no idea how these will go over, tomorrow. Hopefully, I will sell some of them and not sit there doing nothing the whole time.

Have a headache tonight and my shoulder is really sore. Need to get to bed soon with some Advil and pain balm.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
