Thursdsy, December 9

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursdsy, December 9

Morning all. Life must be really exciting if the best title we can come up with is the date  I can’t even say anything g about the weather as it’s same old. Light snows and cold, although that part of it is heading upward with a big warm up for next week. I finally ventured out to town yesterday. Got my errands and a bit of grocery shopping done, then came home and took the girls for a walk. I ordered a new winter coat from a company called RedrigiWear and it arrived Tuesday. Very fast service as I ordered it last Thursday, it was shipped Friday and arrived Tuesday. Was supposed to be here Monday, but Weather delayed it as FedEx had to cease deliveries due to the snowstorm. No problem. Wore it out yesterday on our walk and I was so warm and Comfty. Hated to come in. It was 21 with a real feel of 15 and just a slight breeze. It’s one serious winter coat. I had one from them years ago but didn’t know ith ey were still in business till I saw an ad on FB from them.

Karen, sorry about your title issues. I’ve never had an issue with sending or receiving stuff via USPS so far. O’Sharon, glad the storm went north of you. There will be more heading your way and I’m more than willing to share

Beth, I agree with you on the Medicare ads. Glad thty are over. I did enjoy watching the one with the crabby old lady though. She was a good actor.

Shirl, glad yo got your little tree lights straightened out. I like your idea for your Christmas Eve contribution. I’m waiting on weather to put out my Christmas/winter decorations by the garage. Also one more at front entrance. The storm abot buried the lower part of my display, but I will clear that off as will the warm spell coming. Neighbors put Christmas lights along the roof over our sign and the snow buried them. Sometimes you can’t win with Mother Nature.

Am seriously thinking of taking this IPad down to repair place this morning. Getting tired of reading through all the cracked glass. Been waiting in the weather. I do have my computer here, so not without anything and wouldn’t hurt to go without for a night. They can repair it in a few hours, but we have snow moving in this afternoon, so I might not want to go back down to get it later. Am thinking on it. Might live with it till Monday and the warm up starts.

Morning Sue and Aii, a chilly, cloudy 35°this morning. Drinking coffee and planing the day. Definitely getting bins put away. It’s still early enough to take unused Christmas decoration to the :) local thrift store. The store doesn’t want those donations after the holiday. That is enough planing, don’t want to overwhelm myself. Do something fun and be safe

I'm proud of myself. The last couple years I almost forgot to pay to renew my plates until the tags would almost arrive late. I did it this morning and am ahead of schedule (need them by January 31st).

Now I need to find my dehumidifier. I'm going I didn't screw up as I've found two humidifiers in my storage area. I'll survive, but be frustrated with myself. Turning the AC on last night did the job, and quickly, but I'm sure takes my electric bill up more. It's funny that I'm running the AC on humid nights to sleep better and I'm fine all day!

Shirl, I'd think they'd have a lot of happy people at the thrift stores looking for Christmas decorations now. Your making people happy!

Time to walk Ty. I keep putting a grocery run off because I know I'll purchase more than necessary. Maybe I'll do a Walmart pickup order for tomorrow if I can meet the minimum with my necessary items.

Good morning. Ya know some days nothing works out....I think I should go back to bed.
Might be better if I just sit and park my butt somewhere. Just one bigger thing and then several little ones. Oh well tomorrow is another day.

Finally got to take my phone off Do Not Disturb as I was getting up to 14 Spam calls a day. All from 3 different area codes and never left a voice mail. I must have blocked at least 100 numbers but I think they have thousands so guess it was an exercise in futility.

I am going to try and untangle all my cables and wires behind my tv, modem, router, Roku stick, and Firestick .....wish me luck LOL I have velcro wraps and plastic guides so we shall see how that works out.

Sue, you brought back memories for me. Way back in 1976, my ex and I bought our first snowmobile and immediately went out to buy clothing. There wasn't much available way back then, but we ended up going to downtown Detroit to a meat packing company supplier to buy our first real snowmobile suits from Refrigiwear! Did you know that company started by making clothing for people who worked in meat packing and other industrial sub-zero workers? My suit was one-piece and had a drop seat in the back so I did not have to completely take it off at outhouses out in the woods. Loved it! And, it was amazingly warm and comfortable.

Mosquito bites are a little better this morning, after doping myself up all day yesterday with Benadryl. Stiil sore, but not stinging so much. Taking it easy today, but going to do some inside little things like removing sticker gunk from my windows and cleaning my shower. Tomorrow is laundry.

I have all of my Christmas shopping done, except that I have no idea what to do for one DILs birthday, which is December 31.

Good Morning, Although like Karen I think I should just go back to bed. I started smelling a fragrance this morning and couldn't figure out what/where it was. I don't do fragrance!! I walked into my DH studio and there were 3 fake candles that smelled so bad I almost passed out getting them outside. They were the kind you can put in your fire place and they act like sort of a nightlight. Well his old ones quit and he bought new ones and never noticed while setting the timer on them that they had a smell. It was a good thing he had gone to the store when I found them so I had awhile to simmer down. When he got home he said he was was totally unaware they smelled! I think I'll have a nap after I finish my beer!
I'm glad your mosquito bites are better Judy.

Here is my instant Christmas decoration. DH painted the lamp next to the little tree, It says "Slow Dancing with Matisse'. At one time he painted on a lot of pottery pieces and plaques.

BJ, I have a white Christmas tree like your green one. I haven't gotten it out in a few years. A few of the little plastic things are missing. They can probably be replaced but I don't know where to look for them.

I had to go pick up Pinky at the vet so went to Walmart and the feed store. I wish the grocery store sold the cat food for the house cats. Every time I go to Walmart for one thing it costs me $100. I wanted some pruning shears and Walmart only had some cheap ones in a set with things I didn't need. By the time I got out of Walmart I had forgotten about going to Lowe's. I had some time to kill before the vet's office opened so decided to get a McRib sandwich. Those things are sure messy. I think one will do me until they decide to have them again in a year or two.

Oh joy, Pinky has to have a pill everyday for 14 days and 10 drops of medicine in each ear for 10 days. It's going to be a fight. I am going to put 10 drops of the medicine in a syringe to see how much it is. They are crazy if they think I can hold her and count the drops. I bought some of the pill pusher things a month ago if I can just find them now.

Beth, you might be happy you have some humility if you are in Texas very long. We use to go to a week long horse show in Ft Worth every December. My face would be peeling by the time I got home because it was so dry. I hope your DMV is better than Louisiana, my last tag took 6 weeks.

I should order a snowmobile jacket. Last year when it froze I had to wear a jacket under my coat because one wasn't warm enough. Of course I could probably only wear it a couple of days a year. It's back up to 80 again.

I need to make a reservation with Reserve America for a joint campout between the RVW Texas and Louisiana chapters. The last time I tried to make a reservation they didn't recognize my password. PIA, I need to think up a new password. I usually write passwords down.

The company that is suppose to be changing my roof has called me twice trying to collect for a job that hasn't been done. They act like they can't believe the material hasn't been delivered. Supposedly the material will be delivered next week. Yea, right.

Tuesday night the tv went off so thought mom had turned it off shortly after that I went to get on the forum and couldn't can't remember what it said something about couldn't find that site thought what the heck??? tried again and again and then looked at the computer yep no internet... don't think I tried that night again but last night Weds. I got on the computer and I am so routine I check out gmail then yahoo I didn't even make it through yahoo when once again can't find the site and tried several times again the tv had gone out I think it's bundled.... then the lights went off and back on a couple of times decided it was time to head to the bedroom... My explanation for being MIA
did a stupid thing today looked at checking account and thought if I take some from savings will have over XXXX Amount never had that amount in checking other than one time we refinanced the house it didn't take long to disperse the funds... so I will enjoy that amount for a day or two actually not that long need food and gas together they will take all that I put in to take it over the top... one of that is dumb to do but did it anyway moments...
we had sad news yesterday.... my brother called to tell my mom that our aunt (her sister in law) had passed away really surprised us as last time I asked anyone she was doing well... things do change some times on a dime... she was a special person and will miss the thought I need to go see aunt but I think of the reunion that she and my uncle had it would have been special...
Hopefully Barbie your last couple weeks won't be full of drama with a couple of ones gone... it's not easy to work in commotion
Anita so glad to see you been awhile
I haven't been bothered by mosquito's for many years that said next year they will bother me...
waiting for the PT to come but she is like 2 hours late possibly she called and said something and I didn't make it to the phone in time how I wished I'd given them my cell number instead of trying to answer a phone I don't know how to answer
my brother and his family should be on their way home... hope they have descent weather to do so
the winter pictures were beautiful Sue but hope as bad as we need snow that it holds off till at least Saturday... so I can get back to Jackson without having to drive on snow covered roads...
guess I will go and read my scriptures as I've not done so yet didn't want to get interrupted by the pt but it's late enough if I don't start will get interrupted by family coming home need to also go to the store perhaps I ought to do that so I can move my car so they can get into driveway
I possibly will get back on later depending upon the internet   after all I have to close us out for the night right??

Martha, how companies can try to collect on a job not even started is beyond me. It gives you so much confidence, not!

I agree with Judy, Sheila. You can post as many times a day as you'd like, but I come looking for Barbie's and your posts later at night. If I go to bed too early, I look for them first thing in the morning. And all the rest of you who claim you have nothing to say, I look for each of you every day hoping you stop in even if it's just to say hi.

What a dreary day this has been but still no snowfall which if I leave and go to Jackson tomorrow that is good... I plan on it... just need to mention it to others...
I am already under the amount that I had after I transferred from savings to get it to the highest amount  knew it wouldn't take long just went to the store... :o didn't get that much either.... hate it when I go to the store put stuff in the cart and something hides behind or under my purse... today it was bacon had to go back in and pay for it so since I'd forgotten the Mucinex to see if this will help with the phylum expensive stuff!!! but if it works it will be worth it is my feelings...
for coming in and doing the good night report have not much to say... I have such a boring life at times... the OT never showed up I think she probably called and said she wouldn't be here and I simply didn't hear it well enough to realize that we had actually connected :?
my brother and family returned tonight later than expected guess I80 was a pain had to go really slow... so that made me think of my grandson who is traveling across the nation from Kentucky so hoping that he doesn't have any weather problems...
well you all have a great day think that chocolate cake is calling my name... I need to put the recipe for carrots that I used for Thanksgiving day some of you may enjoy them...
Shirl would you post a picture of your tray when you make it up I just thought it was a new word for Relish Tray/ Cheese but wondering if I am correct...
