Monday December 6

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Things were surprisingly quiet today at work until lunch time. After lunch, everyone got loud and the music even louder, so I plugged into my phone with my new headphones. Even those didn't block out most of the noise!

The manager told us this afternoon that who ever has been standing on the toilet :o , that it is not allowed. He said it has happened twice. I jokingly said that I can't even keep my balance on the floor without almost splitting my head open. I surely would break my neck if I tried to stand on a toilet! Anyways, there is a new gal who is a bit strange and I figured it was probably her. Later, my manager told me he is sure it is her and that she is smoking something in there and standing on the toilet since the cold air return is above it. I think she is on some kind of drugs. She is very moody and unpredictable. I don't think she will make it past her 2 week "trial" period.

I gave my two week notice. I don't want to burn any bridges with them in case things go south at GC's again. I was assured that I could come back at any time. My last day will be the day of the Christmas party. I will start at GC's the week before Christmas.

Had a haircut to do after work on a lady in the park. Have another request for a haircut this week.

It was cloudy today and a high of 75*. The temps will be dropping all week and only be in the low 60's by the end of the week. Chance of rain tomorrow and again on Thursday. Snow possible in the mountains.

Didn't get the tree decorated tonight but maybe tomorrow night...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I wish that I had had the experience to train Shadow when I first got him... we had dogs but they weren't necessarily pets does that make sense? lived on a ranch and the dogs were more or less Dad's I don't really remember playing with on except one we brought from my grandparents a cocker named Sandy but she was hit by the snow plow... I remember she was very protective of my youngest sister would herd her away from things that she shouldn't be in or around... I firmly believe that Shadow had been abused if not him then he was around loud abusive sounds... if I closed a cupboard to loudly he went to find a safe place... because I didn't now if he would come to me he was rarely off leash and if he was it was in a fenced in area.. because of his nibbling I didn't feel comfortable taking him around a lot of people and he was happier in his own place but if I was bringing someone into the trailer he was normally put in the kennel... he did try to herd sometimes I always wondered what the other dog was as he was 1/2 long haired dachshund and ??? Kerry thinks she figured it out but now I can't recall what it was some sort of a Danish ship dog to ferret out the rats ... starts with an S as I recall
mom had PT today she did well except that she has complained of hurting more today than since I got here... and with her spitting up often I was feeling really good supper was good didn't spit it up (she spits up phylum) rarely food or sometimes that too... but this one pain pill she hasn't been able to keep down it was in her system long enough that I worry if I can give her anything else... we are thinking about taking and emptying it into some pudding or something see if its a reaction to the cappasil (a word I'm not getting close enough so spell check can help me out) anyway I will hopefully give her something before I go to sleep it will be close to time by then for the other pain pill
our Q gtg is laid back enough that I worry that we are boring but so enjoy having had the opportunity to host it for so long I am still hoping that there is a way I can be down there but don't know if anyone will be able to come... last year was pretty darn boring it was just me... lol
I am one of those lucky ones knock on wood  I rarely get bit by mosquitos and rarely do they bother me... so very lucky...
I did a couple loads of laundry today and fixed supper... SIL said that there was some chicken I ought to use... so got some capers and decided to make chicken piccata but the chicken was thighs instead of breast so they didn't look the same but love the flavor of it... and a super easy meal to make...
it's too bad Barbie that it was so windy and yucky so you couldn't see as much I think that is also the place where you are right on the fault line but not positive about that
there was a movie I wanted to see came on Sat for first time but so many distractions didn't really see it all on again today and saw the beginning and the last perhaps 30 minutes minus 10 one day hopefully I will see it in it's entirety. :?
you all have a good day

OregonLuvr wrote:BJ I am so excited to see your new puppy. I love your setup. I had an xpen set up with her crate in it and her litterbox, food and toys. She hollered for a long time the first night without her littermates and Mom. Wish I had known about the puppy heartbeat and heat. I knew about the heartbeat for our newborns LOL just didnt relate it to a puppy. I know we got our Emma's close to the same time as mine will be 5 in January. How old is Emma now?

This was my set up waiting for her arrival

Emma was 4 in September it doesn't seem possible. I had a similar set up as yours for Emma and it worked great but we decided this smaller area might work. I have no idea what to expect, she looks so quiet in all the photos and videos the breeder has posted I figure she may just be waiting to surprise us.

Well guess you will find out her true temperment and antics soon enough. Your going to have your hands full either way, but oooooh so worth it.
