Thanksgiving Day 2021

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Happy Thanksgiving from wet South Louisiana. There is a front coming through and the rain is just getting here. It was 81 and now down to 73.

I cooked one of the small turkey roasts, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy. I have a sweet potato casserole in the oven. Since it's just me I didn't try to get everything ready at the same time. My son might show up later but probably not. His girlfriend went to Baton Rouge and he got out of going. My sister in law invited me but it's 2 hours over there and I would have to go in the camper so I could bring Sugar.

Cheryl, if you get rid of the furniture are you going to be sleeping on the floor? Sounds like you will make a break for it as soon as you can. Someone will have fun with all my crap. lol

Peggy, have fun with your crowd. Our Christmas campout is next weekend and there will be about 50 ladies. It gets pretty wild at the party. I found a robe online for my sister and it's suppose to be here Tuesday.

I am thankful for all my forums friends. I would be lonesome if I didn't have you to visit with.

Happy Turkey Day! :D

Still hanging out in bed altho I did get dressed earlier. Just playing on the internet. Will try cooking the little turkey breast later. I might just get my beads organized today rather than any cleaning. Too windy to be outside.

Very windy today. The Santa Anna winds are blowing down from the north. It is worse north of here tho, with some areas getting up to 75 mph wind gusts! :o I have my bedroom windows open and the breeze feels nice and cool! The windows face south and east so I shouldn't get much dust blowing in since the wind is coming from the northwest.

Linda is up in Joshua Tree with friends this weekend.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I'll second that, Martha. I don't know what I would have done without my forum friends over the last couple years of the plague. You all have kept me sane (LOL - at least reasonably sane) with your friendship and online companionship.

I don't know what I would have done without each and every one of you.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Campground is full for the holiday. I just finished dumping my tanks and filled up with water, so I am all set for a couple of days. I have been eating turkey for the last couple of days, so I think I am going to make some linguini and add some langostinos to it, with lemon, butter, and garlic sauce! Yum. A package of frozen langostinos will make three meals for me, so will make them up and refrigerator and freeze.

I have some projects I have been putting off, so going to work on them today and tomorrow. First is trying to figure out why my backup/rear view camera monitor is not working. I got it last February, but it does not seem to be getting any power when I plug it into the front cigarette lighter plug. So, i got out my box of receipts and instruction sheets from underneath storage, and am going through stuff. Also, I was looking for some arrow stickers and found a small cardboard box in one of my cabinets. It turned out to be the 12 volt computer charger I had ordered over a year ago! I had completely forgotten about it, and I just tried it out and it works. My HP that I bought two years ago has a "C" instead of USB ports, plus the input plug is different. According to the instructions, this plugs into one of the "C" plugs. So, am going to toss out the old one from my last computer because it does not work well with this laptop.

Got my good UK maps out and am going to start putting arrows on places I want to go so I can start planning out my May-June trip. Doing more research on Yorkshire ancestors last night, I discovered that some of them lived on a farm I am planning to stay at! It's called "Church House" and I had chosen it because it is close to the little country church where i want to take photos of the graves. Churchyard is full of hundreds of graves and most of my ancestors on my mother's maternal grandparents side going back to 1600 are buried there!!

Just a heads up to those of you that stream apps. HULU has a deal right now 0.99cents a month for 1 year. Normally 6.99 it is the basic plan with ads but still a deal. I did this a few years ago and I liked it. I used to have the Hulu subscription but cancelled it a month or so ago. It let me sign up again WAHOO This offer is only good until the 29th

Thanks, Karen. I've never had Hulu, but for that price I'm going to sign up this weekend. If I don't feel I watch enough on it before the years over I'll make sure to cancel.

I'll still have mattress and box spring to sleep on. They'll end up in a dumpster when I get one in the spring for the couches and whatever I can't get rid of. I wish I could make a break for it, but the trailer is in storage until April. :|
