I am guessing that someone entered the wrong code on the product into the checkout system. So, when it was rung up, it showed something to the cashier that said to offer a warranty. (Believe it or not, about 20 years ago I wrote a very short online training program for K-Mart that they used to train cashiers to offer warranties. And I HATE being constantly offered those warranties. I wrote some extremely strange training programs in the 90s and 2000s before I quit my regular job. Worst one was corporate income tax for Ford Finance employees--I kept falling asleep while I was writing it, using the notes given to me by a finance manager! Later on, programmer told me she kept falling asleep while programming it!)

Anyway, that was very funny about the yeast because I have no idea how you prove it is defective? Bring in uneaten bread?

I went for a longer than usual walk yesterday, and when I got back I finally figured out to work the Fitbit ZIP I bought two years ago. This thing has been sitting in a drawer all that time, unused. I want to be able to track the distance I walk, and I was even thinking of buying a new Fitbit of some sort, but decided the last thing I needed was another device I could not use. Like I would then have TWO devices sitting in a drawer in their boxes! It took some online research and downloading a manual, plus downloading an app onto my laptop to set it up. It is not a watch thing, but something you can clip onto your waist or pocket. Will give it a try later today.

Still excellent weather here in Florida--low 70s and sunny, although we are supposed to maybe get a few sprinkles in the morning.

Good afternoon ladies!

Sheila, I don't remember you ever opening the Morning Coffee! The warranty on the yeast is just about the craziest thing I've ever heard. Judy, so glad you are enjoying the mild FL weather.

It was in the low 60's when I got up and it's 77 now. We had a brief shower on the way home from church but must have had more rain here as there were puddles when we got back. Steve is going to make chili on his Big Green Egg for dinner. I'm already looking forward to that. On the 7th of December, the resort is having House Parade which follows a BBQ at the Model Suite which is next to us. We're entering our Suite/casita in the House Parade to show others how we decorated ours. Last night was the Elvis impersonator concert which was okay at best. Tomorrow we'll check out campgrounds in the area with Brenda. I have a load of laundry going so need to make a switcheroo.

Sunday seems to be my day to cook since I usually don't go to town. I browned my pork loin and put it in the slow cooker. Then went to town to look for pie shells. I know how to make them but don't want to. I wanted deep dish Pillsbury shells. The store had 4 packages and probably the only reason there were any was because they were behind others and I had to dig. I have a Coca Cola Cake in the oven. I am making it to bring for my dessert of the month. I have never made one before. I probably shouldn't make something to give away that I have never made. When I finish with the cake I'm going to make a buttermilk pie.

Considering the date of some of my seasonings I could probably use a warrantee on yeast.

Annie, takes spells of staying in my feet when I'm trying to do something. I put her out for a while. Now she is doing figure 8's in my lap and sharpening her claws. She is fixing to go out again.

I find it hard to believe that on November 21 it is 86 degrees. I'm going to have to turn the air conditioner back on. I think there is a front coming through tonight and tomorrow it will be in the 60's.

I have been busy this morning cleaning out the storage shed and my closets. I brought alot of stuff out of my storage unit that I just dont need. So loaded it up in the car and took it to the donation center. Then came home and flattened all the cardboard and took that over. I passed by our cheapest local grocery and also Walmart and the parking lots were packed. Thank goodness that wasnt on my list today. Now I need to organize the storage shed and then I am done with that chore. Next chore is the pantry. I put alot of my appliances that I dont use daily on my new shelves in the closet, freed up lots of space in the pantry but it is in total disarray so time to straighten that out. Sometime this week.

I got lots of steps on my fitbit from yesterday and today LOL but I take my watch off to shower and sometimes forget to put it back on LOL so fewer steps but I KNOW I walked alot between the two days. I like my Versa2 fitbit. Lets me know who is calling me (handy when I am out in the yard) or texting, I can answer texts from my phone. Has the weather and best of all Alexa LOL she is my buddy. Those are the things I use the most. Dont use many of the exercise apps. I have time, steps, heart rate, and battery % on the face. Works for me.

Not sure what I will have for dinner tonite, ate a late lunch so might just have some snack type stuff. I plan on going to the store early tomorrow for just a few things as I dont need much hope it wont be too busy. I should have worked in the yard today because it was beautiful out but I was on a roll in the house so needed to at least finish one project before starting another. Might be nice tomorrow too I hope.

I've been driving too much per day for me. I'm now only 150 miles from my destination. I might call them in the morning. I'm sure they'd be ok with me coming a day early and adding it to my stay. Unless, of course, someone is in it. I can't stay where I am (a picnic area overlooking the Rio Grande,) another night, but there's a free city park about 1/2 way I could visit. I might just decide to do that to relax a bit. Plus it looks like rain tomorrow. On the other hand, I'm not used to this humidity lol ... AC might be on the agenda. That said, the humidity will be great for my dry skin.

I chuckled off and on all day today about the yeast warranty. Then laughed more that the clerk seriously offered it.

My fridge and freezer (and cupboards) have plenty in them so I don't intend to even think about going shopping until after Thanksgiving and after the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Here's the Rio Grande from out my door.

And the last breath of the sunset.

I used my Fitbit ZIP when I went for a walk today. It said I walked .67 of a mile. I don't really care about steps because I am only going to wear it when going for a walk, but it does measure steps. I was a little worried when it slipped from distance to steps as I was walking, but then realized it was measuring both. I guess it starts over at midnight???

I want to know how far I walk because I want to get into shape for my trip to England and Scotland where I will have to do a lot of walking. I am going to try to walk relatively briskly and increase length over next few weeks. I get tired easily, meaning I get out of breath and my legs ache, so I do a lot of stopping for a few seconds. One would think I have gained a lot of weight over the past years, but in reality, I have lost 40 pounds since I started RVing 9 years ago and have kept it off, so things should be getting easier, right? Only problem is that I am getting older, and have been pretty sedentary for the past couple of years, so need to start moving more.

back again... went to my son's house for supper he did Chinese food on his out door grill tasted pretty good... he was saying that his mother in law wouldn't eat it cause it would be too hot for her I sure didn't taste any heat... tasted pretty good I thought he made beef and broccoli and ham fried rice... it was fun seeing the kiddo's I do think the 11 year old or is she 12 don't know for sure is taller than the 16 year old but then one is taller than normal and one is more average or perhaps shorter than normal... guess it all evens out
my glasses came couldn't figure out what one of the items' that they sent was totally flat so showed it to son he figured it out it was a glass case... just hadn't put it up right after he did it totally made sense
it's chilly here 10:40 P.M. and 33 degrees outside.. my sister asked me if I was going to get some winter clothing so don't want to... got to thinking the other day that I should have gotten snow boots instead of sneakers more likely to wear them... I don't wear shoes inside so the snow boots would have worked for outside and probably been easier to put on
I'm with you Judy really need to get out and do more walking and that was on the agenda when I got to AZ now that I'm not sure need to go ahead and get the walking sticks and try to take time to walk but hate the snow don't wanna walk in it
don't want to slip and fall I can do that on dry ground...
that is the Rio Grande huh? when I think of it and I know better I think of it being the size of the Mississippi and yet I know it's not but then when I see pictures of it wonder what happened to the Grande
Irimi I'm with you I really don't remember opening up coffee before but wanted to give myself some doubt
you all have a great day see you tomorrow

Sheila, this is the Rio Grande where it runs between Mexico and the US. I can't help but wonder if we (the US) didn't dam it and divert it's waters for farmland in so many places, if it wouldn't be so low here. I have pictures of it completely dry at a state park in New Mexico where that is done. It's diverted for several months. I think we got too smart (dumb?) for our own good on so many things.

I'm not used to the humidity and I sure found it today lol I think it's helping my sinuses and breathing. But it's a warm night and with the humidity, if I had hookups I'd run my ac to sleep. Instead I'm laying in bed swatting the little bugs drawn to my phone. I'm hoping to not need heat or AC most of this winter. Time will tell Ooh, the breeze has picked up a little. Maybe I'll get some cooler air and sleep yet.
