Wet Snow Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wet Snow Saturday

Postby Colliemom » Sat Nov 13, 2021 8:31 am

Morning all. Couple inches of wet snow to wake up to this morning. But temps are just above freezing, so it’s starting to fall off the trees. Supposed to be snow showers today. Kind of debating if I want to go to town as need some craft paints for my latest projects. Might wait till next week as I can work around that But Hobby Lobby has the pints on sale. Also need a couple pieces of plywood to do two Christmas ornament cutouts. I have scraps left from previous cutouts, but not big enough. That’s one advantage to be retired in snow country, you can decide if you want to go out or just stay home.

Good luck this weekend Tina. O’Sharon, glad you got your toilet back in place. I get into things too, where I hit a snag, but manage to “get er done”. Surprising what a little determination does and also, the “where there’s a will, there’s a way” mantra does  Gosh Velda, you seem to be going from one adventure to another at your house. Hard way to get new flooring, but will be nice when it’s done I’m sure. Karen, you can come put a new light on my porch for me. I’ve never been one to fool with electric. Shelia, sorry your plans got delayed. And hope your mom improves. Shirl, did you get your tulip bulbs planted?

They are talking about a Christmas tree shortage now. Won’t bother me as I don’t buy one or put one up either. I did buy a Turkey the other day and have it thawing in the fridge. Will cook it up when it thaws, the package it all in individual meals and freeze to eat over the winter months. At 33 cents a pound, cheap eating. Some will also be dog food to mix in their kibble too. Will be going to a neighbors for Thanksgiving.

Guess I’ll get my day moving here. Have a nice day and stay safe.

Morning All, sunny and cool. Sue, 25 tulip bulbs in a pot and fingers crossed. Remind me that the pot is stuffed in a balcony corner come spring. Just household chores planned today. So far no reaction from the booster shot yesterday, not even a sore arm. Does that mean it isn’t working or I didn’t need it. Lol Sheila, take care. #1 granddaughter is on a roll this morning with videos so I will have a fun morning. Be safe

I had my booster a couple of weeks ago, now. Didn't have any kind of a reaction to it, either. LOL. I have also wondered if that means it isn't working. Oh well!

Good Morning, It is cloudy here, Thursday seemed to be peak day for the fall colors and the about noon the winds and colder weather came.
Velda I'm so sorry you are having so many home repair issues, the floor flooding sounds just awful. TIna good luck this weekend hope the weather isn't wet and cold. Emma is at the Evansville,IN show.
I'm waiting for more stories of 'past lives' did you get any Judy?

Had my booster last Monday, guess I really needed it :( !! DH was fine a little tired for one day.

Sorry, no past lives. Surely some of you must have done something unique or weird!

Got to pack up today and do a load of laundry because I am headed 20 miles down the road to another state park on the Gulf for two weeks. I also will stop by a grocery store to try to get some turkey thighs and a couple of other items. Also, I might head out to a Camping World to pick up a couple of things they are holding for me--one of which is a new propane alarm. My old one is five years old so starting to scream at me to remind me it needs to be replaced.

Glad I am not in the snow, Sue, no matter how pretty it can be! Highs around here are low 70s, which is perfect for me.

Got up early and headed out to see Linda. We checked out a few RV park yard sales. My first purchase was a Margarita! :o. A lady was making them in her driveway! Not sure what compelled me to get one, especially at 9am, but, oh well... We didn't buy much, but it was fun and a beautiful morning! We also stopped at a small RV dealer near there that I have been to before. Went thru a few rigs but nothing inspired either of us.

We chatted for awhile and then made lunch. She made steaks and baked potatoes. Very good! I gave her a haircut afterward. I headed home a few hours later. We always have so much to talk about!

Very tired again tonight so am already in bed at 9pm! Tomorrow I need to get up early again to go with my new friend, Connie, up to Oak Glen for the Apple festival.

Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
