got the woodcraft display I’ve been working on for two weeks done and put out by our subdivision entrance. The neighbors love it! Now to work on Christmas… Picture quality isn’t the greatest due to the sun.

Sue, love, love it. No wonder the neighbors like it. If I lived in your neighborhood I would bring you dinner too. :D

What fun to have that greeting at the entrance.
Well done. Where do you find patterns?

Thanks everyone. Shirl, there’s a house for sale up the road here. I would love a free dinner  Velda, I get the patterns from a company called The Winfield Collection. Thty have a website www.thewinfieldcollection.com. Been around along time and are based in southern Michigan. Thty have a ton of patterns of all kinds.

This isn’t actually a cheap hobby at the moment, given the price of plywood, but depending on the pattern, I can get more than one out of a 4x8 sheet. But if it gives somebody a smile or a laugh, it’s worth it. I’m starting to cut out the one Christmas pattern now and will do a second another day. Good way to spend a lousy weather day, sitting at my kitchen table, painting etc. Neighbor told me that They want to put some Christmas lights out at the entrance sign, so looks like I started a decorating binge around here. A number of us decorated for fall too. I’m also planning on some decorations for my ladder on my garage wall and the bench under it, for Christmas and Winter.

Ok, Sue, you know I can't stand it. What is the address - or maybe the Zillow listing - of this house for sale?

Thanks Sue. I had forgotten about Winfield. As this house begins to come together , I hope to get back into my shop and play with my scrollsaw and other equipment that I haven't had time for. I haven't checked in past month, but this past summer, plain 1/2 in 4x8 sheets of plywood were as high as $65! I hope that has come down a bit, ESP since im having to buy materials for the house!

Maybe you can pick up some scraps that would be big enough for your projects. Or get the homeowners to contribute a few bucks. At least let them know you could use some scrap pieces of plywood.

Anne, just to give you something to dream on, the address of that house is 1190 North Shore Drive,Gaylord, MI.

Velda, didn’t know you liked to play with saws and wood. I just paid $26 for a 15/32 inch 4x4. Before that I paid $33 for a 1/4 4x8. I find 1/2 inch getting too heavy for me anymore.
