Sunday sleep in?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday sleep in?

Postby BarbaraRose » Sun Nov 07, 2021 10:58 am

Well my body is not cooperating with sleeping in with an extra hour this morning! Been awake since before 6am!

Will get up in awhile to get ready to meet with Linda.

The park is having their annual craft fair here in early December, but outside this time. I contacted the lady in charge yesterday to see if I could share a table with someone. She said I can. I want to just sell my golf stroke counters I used to make years ago. I found my supplies for them when I was going thru my boxes a couple weeks ago. I use pony beads and silky cord to make them, very quick and easy to make. I can use different colored beads on them and custom design them to match golf bags, outfits, team colors (Seahawks!), etc. I will charge $5 each. I have a stand to hang them all on. **(If you don't know what they are for, on each hole, you move up one bead for every stroke you hit until you get the ball in the hole. Then just count the beads instead of trying to remember how many times you hit the ball. Makes it so much easier!)
They can be attached to a belt loop or the golf bag. I can advertise them as stocking stuffers for Christmas. Should be fun! It is on a Saturday so I don't have to take time off work for it.

I have stuff I wanted to put in the yard sale here but all the yard sales are during the week and it would cost me more to take the day off work, than what I would make selling stuff. I might see if I can find someone who would be willing to sell some of the better stuff at their sale. Otherwise it will be donated.

Have a great Sunday! :D

I think I slept in, but the time zone issue is confusing me. I moved from Eastern to Central time a few days ago, so I have left some of my clocks on Eastern time because I will be going back there in two weeks. That really confused me!

By the way, i wanted to mention that there have been a lot of last minute cancellations in the state parks I have been staying in. I think people made reservations in panic mode and then changed their minds. And the last two campgrounds I have been in have been directly on either the Atlantic or the Gulf, so these are prime places.

Going to hose out my sewer compartment today and also clean out the bin where I store my water hoses and clean stuff for hooking up. It is supposed to warm up to 70 today.

It has warmed up to 74 here and it's beautiful outside after 2 days of no sun. My back is killing me because I have been standing in the kitchen all morning. I made a batch of corn and crab bisque and a batch of cookies. I am freezing the bisque to take to the campout and froze the cookie dough in balls to bake later. I have to mix the oats, cereal and pecans into the cookie dough by hand and it's like mixing concrete by hand. My arm will be complaining later. I don't think it has completely gotten over the 5 hours of fishing. I baked a turkey thigh for lunch but I'm not hungry after all the sampling. I thought I had a jar of the chili mix and I was going to make chili but I don't have the mix. I doubt that the dollar store has the one I want and I don't want to go to town.

I woke up at my usual 8:00 which is the new 7:00 so I got to watch Sunday Morning. I will really have to watch the time so I can get my outside work done before dark. Last night Sugar and I were almost walking in the dark.

Judy, when I go to Florida I would leave my watch on central time and I would stay confused. I think they are going to open the border to Canada this week and there probably won't be any vacancies when the snowbirds hit Florida.

I found my outfit for the Christmas party at Walmart. It's overalls in a Christmas print with cat pictures. They are always wanting us to wear our PJ's to take a picture which I don't do. The theme for this year is the 50's. I don't remember what I was wearing in the 50's. I have old clothes but not that old. lol They will just have to be happy with my overalls.

Martha, I would love to see those overalls! Sounds cute!

Just got home from spending the day with Linda. We sat and talked for quite awhile, then went into town to a cute little diner and had lunch, talked some more, went back to her camper and talked more...well you get the idea! We had a lot of catching up to do! We already are making plans for fun things to do while she is here. Next weekend we might go up to Oak Glen for the Apple Festival.

I hope she can find a job so she can stay here for awhile.

Got home at 5:30 and it was already totally dark out! I feel like it is almost bed time!

I got another chip in my windshield today from a rock hitting it. Two in 3 days! I probably have gotten 4 chips in windshields my whole life, and I get two in 3 days! I hope I can get them fixed without too much expense. Will call my insurance guy tomorrow.

Friday, I ordered a back cushion for my chair at work to support my back. It had great reviews so I hope it works good. I got it today already!

Have a good night!

Barbie usually insurance pays for all chip fills. I have never had to pay a thing.

It seemed strange not going to church but someone needed to stay home with mom.... it seems it has been a run to the bathroom a lot but it is what is... have a cough so mom is asking when I'm going to get over it pretty much when I do...
it's going to be really pitiful news today... had to break away and help with mom so now I don't even remember what was the chatter was....
sounds like Barbie and Linda had a great gab fest... sure hope she can find a part time quickly so she can stay in that area...
water much better that came out of the filter than out of the sink... but it's temperamental in the fridge so this maybe what I get.... need to decide when I am going to return to Jackson so that I can leave and go to Utah no later than Friday and would rather on Thursday want to go down through Thayne and pick up a calendar that a friend on FB is publishing he does some great photo's... so looking forward to getting one if you pick it up at this business there is no shipping so really want to go this avenue... some of when I leave well rephrase that all of when I leave depends upon when the kids can bring me over a car so I can go under my own steam...
it's about time for family chat so will wish you all a good night

Forgot to mention that a problem with my keeping the time straight is that I am in Central time, but the satellite TV is coming from Jacksonville, FL and Macon, GA, both of which are in the Eastern time zone!! So, I look at the clock on the wall and my cell phone, and it says 10:30 pm, but the TV says it is 11:30 pm!!

And, I did not get my cleaning of my utility area done today, but I did do three loads of laundry. The day ends too quickly on Central time, so it got dark before I expected it. And i don't go out after dusk because of mosquitos, although I think the cold weather has discouraged them.
