Yesterday early evening, something in the cold water/ice maker in fridge ruptured and we had water flooding kitchen. Thankfully Sean came running back and got water shut off and began sucking water up. Lots of mess. Water leaked down through toe kicks and into basement shop, ruining Sheetrock he had just repaired! I spent today getting rid of old can goods, a task I have put off while working on rest of rooms. Plan was sun room (Mel never go Sheetrock taped and textured nor window sills finished), then living room replace a couple floor boards then do baseboards and paint room, then kitchen, but just had to toss that plan in the air and rearrange. Fortunately, since it was a appliance problem, it's covered except deductible for all mitigation and repairs. But I'll be busy getting entire room declutterd and cleared as pantry, L shaped kitchen clear down through dining area to edge of living room is one big piece of luxury vinyl, so must all be emptied to strip and lay new vinyl after floor underpayment repairs. Won't be whole new kitchen, but will look better. And new insulation For ceiling of shop with new Sheetrock---again.
I'm tired. Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Oh Velda! What a mess! Sorry this happened, but hopefully the new floors will look even better.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I was awakened this morning by the pitter pat, uh, no make that thump thud of the local juvenile turkey flock landing and running on my roof! They are about as graceful,as a drunken sailor! Why cant they just fly over the gate rather than fly thump to roof, run around, then fly to ground and repeat the back and forth twice daily morning and night! Now they are grazing in back yard! Well, at least I'm awake so I can start again on kitchen! It's going to be a challenging week, as I declutter and empty pantry and kitchen from years of build up while Mel was sick. I just hadn't started that area yet, as it was overwhelming, coming across expensive supplement he used and old stuff I needed to toss, but just hadn't. I'll get through it, but sure miss his strong arms and help, which we always did stuff like this as a team. I'll get through it, but having to sit on low stool to save my back. Son carries bags to trash as I fill them. Found a crockpot I forgot was under a shelf, that I'll get rid of since I primarily use AF and IP now and that crockpot is huge. Upward and onward, i know I'll feel lots better, a weight lifted when done!
