Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Morning from the snowy 45th. Don’t think I need to explain today’s weather or yesterday’s either. The picture says it Image

We have gotten 11 inches of very wet, heavy snow since 6 p.m. Monday night and might see some more today. I think it has broken a record. From what neighbors wintering in FL said, we made the National news this morning. It’s beautiful, but also dangerous as power lines and trees are weighed down. So far no power outages around here that I am aware of. The roads are also an icy mess too. I have an appt.for my COVID booster later this morning, by then things should improve. But I had an appt. yesterday too, so was my first day of winter driving for this season. And so it begins. But the sun is out and I see snow starting to fall off the trees.

I see Apple Crisp is the food topic right now. I won’t be doing that one. Don’t keep oats in the house and not going to buy some just for that. Those who make some can enjoy some for me. In case you wondered,I did break down and made some muffins the other day

This has been good weather for working on my craft project. Started painting one yesterday. Will do some more later today.

Judy, you are certainly enjoying your beach camping. It is relaxing watching to oceans. Beth, sounds like an eating binge coming up. But hey, we only live once. Shelia, hope things work out for your family and your mom. Anita, here’s to a better month for you. Can’t say Oct. was a good one for me either. Tina, congrats on show wins. It’s so nice to see you able to be out enjoying what you love.

Guess I should get a move on. Be time to leave before I know it. Need to swing by Wally World and hopefully get an ink cartridge for my printer. Ran out of a color and it won’t print without it  Need to print a couple return labels for mypackages.

Have a nice day all.

Morning All, 42° and sunny. Wow! Sue, beautiful picture, safe driving. I have had a problem with a smoke detector alarming since I moved here. Lost count of number of batteries replaced. Maintenance finally replaced the smoke detector about 3 months ago. Thought they also used a 10 year battery but guess not. I was doing the smoke dance with the tea towel last night at dinner time. My decision to go to Annapolis yesterday postponed laundry and tulip planting until today so they will be today’s chores. Did cover herbs on balcony for last nights frost. Martha, I buy large bags of vegetables at Sam’s club but also have a freezer to store them in. I have always hated shopping of any kind so stocking up saves many trips. I was married to a construction worker so had lean times in winter. Hard to teach an old dog new tricks. Lol be safe

Good morning to all - well we are 245 miles closer to our destination of Mazatlan. Spent the night in a truck stop. So went to bed early - 9:00 for me is VERY early but not much else to do. And yesterdays drive was a long day. Had to go through a bunch of little towns where people are standing in the middle of the street trying to sell y ou things or asking for "donations. The good thing about that when you see someone in the middle of the street you know there is a tope (usually huge - undercarriage ripping off -tope there. Yesterday we managed to see all the topes in time to slow way down. Some of them are really hard to see. Especially the ones in the middle of no where! Also when we crossed the state line this year no one wanted to see our paperwork for the vehicles. You never know from year to year. What to expect. After the state line the road went to He!! in a hand basket. - oh well today is another day of not good roads with high tolls. Then we park for 5 months in Max. A friend from Idaho caught up with us in San Carlos he tows a fifth wheel. Just knocked on our door, has a broken spring on the the ewheel. So mechanic is on the way... so thats our news for today.

Oh! Sue! Your snowy photo completely made my day! Thank you so very much for posting.

Weather here has been pretty much "meh, California", ever since the storm armageddon of a few weeks past. There have been no further weather "events" of any note. A few minor sprinkles now and again (what my Dad used to call "Oregon Mist" - LOL - because the rain "missed" Oregon) but nothing substantial.

Unfortunately, this means that the drought persists.

As for temps. . . my tomato plants are thriving in the cooler weather, they are blooming like crazy, and looking out my window I now see a few red, ripe tomatoes I need to go out and bring in before the critters get them.

And, yes, this is November :?. Go figure.

It is a bit difficult to grow tomatoes here, because they aren't happy when temps climb much above 100 degrees, as it usually does here in summer. After a lot of research, I planted a few different "heat tolerant" varieties (some did better than others, one, "Better Boy", did not produce any tomatoes at all, although the plant was large and healthy) this year, the "yield" was infinitely better than last year, but still not spectacular. But I will take what I can get!!

Tomatoes are one of my favorite foods.

Have a great day, everyone. And, Shirl, thank you for sharing in my attempt at humor. :D

Sue, that photo of the snow would make a fantastic Christmas card for you!!!

Going to get my bike out. Slept in, as usual, and had an emergency I had to take care of for my aunt. They are supposed to wake her up to take her to the bathroom, but the night shift are agency people, so did not get the message, which seems illegal to me. What else are they not doing at night that they should be doing????????????

Also got my new medical alert device. Tested it yesterday but have to call them with some questions.

Sue, that picture is gorgeous.

Linda should arrive in the Phoenix area today. I have dinner with friends tonight, breakfast with another friend tomorrow, then going to find Linda for a visit before I head to Benson and she heads to California.

Ty and I had a wonderful walk in the cool morning air. I'm thinking he's telling me he wants another lol Begging eyes are happening!

Good afternoon, time for lunch LOL Most people eat to live, I believe I live to eat LOL Was out an about fairly early, needed to go to the bottle drop and put those stupid bottles and cans thru one at a time, but hey I got $12 out of the deal, and way more room in my pantry. Then took a carload to the donation center, got rid of quite a bit of stuff that I had kept in storage that survived but I sure dont need. So slowly but surely getting things in ship shape. Guess I am kind of spring cleaning early ha ha

Took some soup out of the freezer so it will thaw for dinner. Will make some Texas toast to go with it, that should suffice. Took small batch of ribs out for tomorrow so will pop them in the small crockpot in the am. Hoping the sun comes out for a bit this afternoon as I want to spray my weeds in the back yard while we dont have a threat of rain today.
Sue loved your picture, I really love the snow BUT I love driving 15 minutes up the mountain to see it ha ha Carol and Bill almost to their destination. Beth have a good visit with Linda and so glad she is doing well. I haven't gotten my bulbs from the bulb company yet, I better check on that!!!

Been looking at all the Hallmark Christmas programs. I seldom watch any of them, and the whole idea of several months of Christmas programs exhausts me!!

But what I want to know is how they keep track of all the similar titles. Is there a list somewhere that somebody checks a potential new program title against? There must be several hundred programs with something like "merry," "Christmas," "sleighs," "gingerbread," and "snow." Makes my head spin!!

Good evening gals!

My kitten bites are almost completely healed. The scratch looks nasty but is healing as well (just a long 4 inch scratch on my forearm and scabbed over).

Was pretty sore yesterday after helping with inventory on Monday. Too much bending and reaching that day. Even my right shoulder and arm hurt yesterday, as did my lower back. Much better today.

Carol, I am sure you will be very happy to reach Mazatlan and get settled in there.

Sue, beautiful snowy photo! But glad it is a there and not here! Snow is always pretty when it first falls but not so much after a few days, especially around the roads.

Wow! I didn't realize Linda was already heading this way! :o I need to finish cleaning and organizing my place!

Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

if is a beautiful photo Sue... worthy of framing
tomorrow is D day discharge day... brother is coming in in the am he has a 3 hour drive... said he would be here between 10 and 11 have mom's stuff packed dd is coming to work here in the morning so she can see her grandma before we head to Lander... I had planned on staying here and leaving Monday for UT for a few weeks I invited myself to eldest dd's home... means putting one of the granddaughter's out of a bed but she will be ok with that (I hope) but mom wants me to go to Lander with them to help out as they have their dd to take care of ... I said I'd go but I wasn't staying a long time that I was going to go to my granddaughters baptism on the 13th... asked with that is so told her .... I hope she doesn't expect me to wait till Friday to leave Lander cause since I won't be here won't get the Journey although I guess they could bring it over and leave the key were I could find it... however depending upon weather would like to come back on say Weds leave for UT the next day. guess we will see... not looking forward to having to start driving in the snow... there are lots of reasons that I go to AZ for the winter... was going to pack up mom's stuff except for what she would need but didn't happen she spent more time in the chair which makes it hard to get to her stuff... and when she wasn't in it didn't think about it ... so need to go pack for myself really was hoping that brother would say stay home we will be ok... but truly I think the trip there might be a problem in case she needs to go to the bathroom.. so I guess that I will not grumble to much....
brought my stuff in from the car just in case we took two cars... don't know where to put it was something else I was hoping to do this weekend was have my dd come help me box up some more stuff so I can put my books and stuff away...
the one good thing about Hallmark and their repeats if you miss it chances are you will see it again and maybe see what you missed... watching one that I don't remember seeing but so need to pack I take more stuff for 4 days than most people.... book bag hand work bag laptop bag and clothes...
oh back to mom she walked more and handled the wheel chair the kind you can do on your own think I was in her bad thoughts for a moment she was in the wheel chair needed to go potty indicated that she usually uses the commode and I said you are in the wheel chair why don't you use the toilet that is what you will have to do at their house... she did but wasn't happy about it ...
had a phone call this morning didn't know it so ignored it then a few minutes later it came again so wondered what to do aww a pop up screen call so did that it replied back who it was so I answered it was Zenni about my glasses... was going to change my address on the e-mail but couldn't figure it out and dd isn't coming tonight...
Linda messaged me to see if I was in Q sure wish I could have said yes I am... but nope hopefully will make it...
need to go check out the recipe
you all have a great day
