Oh! Sandi, flowers are my weakness and that window is beautiful. Your villa is so perfect you are going to be bombarded with reservations. We will be able to rent our own jet. :)

Wow Shirl. Sounds like everyone will be coming in style in that rented jet. Aren’t dreams and the imagination fun?

Today I was supposed to work on my statement to the court for a re-sentencing hearing on Thursday for the leader of the 3-person gang who murdered my son Joshua. California passed a law (approved by voters) a few years ago that allows criminals who were 26 years or less when they committed their crime to be re-sentenced and in many cases released on parole regardless of the severity of their crime. My family has been through this type and other parole hearings over the last approximately 15 years. Every time it’s an emotional nightmare. The thought that on Friday he could be out of prison and on parole is heart-breaking.

Because it’s so stressful, rather than working on my statement to the court, I decided to paint today instead. At least this scene provides me peace and calm. Of course, tomorrow will be here soon and I’ll have to buckle down and come up with something that will make absolutely no difference to the court when it makes its decision. :(

Sandi, that peaceful scene looks like it might be from your past. So gut wrenching to continual go through this procedure with the court. ((Hugs)))

Yes Shirl, in 2017 I made my way to the Eagle Lake GTG in Northern California and on to Idaho to experience being In the direct line of the total eclipse of the sun. I then headed north through Yellowstone to Montana to visit a friend and her family. From there I began my trip home and headed northwest through the Montana mountains. I took a side trip to see a beautiful lake and on the way saw this calm, no pressure scene in a secluded valley. So that’s where the idea for this painting came from.
