Thursday the 14th

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday the 14th

Postby JudyJB » Thu Oct 14, 2021 11:32 am

We are getting later and later! I slept in this morning because I was up a lot during the night. Had some weird dreams about my house from 30 years ago and some kind of a big block party with strangers coming in. Couple of other weird dreams I don't remember, but a very restless night.

Not much going on, but i did have a video conference with my oncologist yesterday and all blood numbers are normal, except platelets are a bit low, which is normal for me. It has been almost two years since I finished treatment, so I am happy about that. He has me get blood work about every 5-6 months, so he can check on me and report on my status as part of the research study I participated in.

Almost out of propane, so going out today to get a fill. Nothing else exciting.

Good afternoon Judy and all!

Judy, I so happy for you that your numbers for your bloodwork came out so well! Keep doing what you're doing.

Steve went to his doctor this morning for the results on his bloodwork and renal ultrasound and everything was normal and what was border line at his last visit were better. So we're both elated.

We ordered a pressure washer to clean our patio better than we could do without it and it came yesterday. So we started recleaning the patio yesterday but have more to do before we'll be finished. Steve bought a Big Green Egg barbecue a few weeks ago and prepared quite a few meats on it and we love it. The weather here is still warm and close to 90 for our high. But it looks like our night time lows will drop into the 50's or 60's starting this weekend. The church I play for in FL bought a new organ a couple years ago and the organ it replaced was gifted to me and we had it delivered to our casita on Tuesday. It gives me something to practice on which is more ample than the keyboard I was using. So all is well in our corner of central FL.

Continue staying safe.

It was really worth it to get my treatment from a doctor who specializes in this disease. I could have taken the most common pills prescribed at the time, but it would have been lifelong, and that drug had a 20% potential of causing arrhythmia and also had a small chance of enabling my disease to morph into a more serious version. By choosing the newest drug, there was a good chance I would have to take it for only one year, meaning that my body would not have had a chance to become acclimated to it. Now, if my disease comes back, I can take that drug again for a one-year period.

Four solid months of Oregon rain were not fun, but that was my fault for choosing to do this over the winter.

If you are ever interested in participating in a research study, check out this site: https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/home Some trials will even pay housing and transportation costs, especially those run by the NIH.

Good afternoon. Not much going on in my world today. Made a grocery run and then undid the water timers in the yard as they wont be needed until next year. Got a call from the DMV and the title to my MH I have been waiting for should be here in 10 days AFTER I sign one more piece of paper of course. I am pretty anxious to be done with this..... the people that bought it moved to Tennessee and didnt register it here before they lef,t or apply for a new title in their name. but had filled out their local address, then scratched it out and the DMV back there wouldn't accept the altered title. So I had to apply for a new title and then I will send it to them. They paid the fee for a new title application tho. So that is my news for the day ha ha

Judy, great news. Irmi great news on Steve, too. And nice that they have given you the organ. Karen, why people think they can change legal documents is beyond me. I'm glad they are taking responsibility for paying for the fix.

Busy here today. We close completely for the season on the 25th, but people are coming in fast and furious right now. I'm thinking other places already closed and our rates dropped this month. We're going to try to close one building the 20th and get ahead of things. Fingers crossed.

Another cold day today and overnight tonight will be more of the same.

I actually made it to the food truck...and totally worth it... some what expensive though but it's Jackson and what can I say you sorta get used to it... it was probably among the best fish and chips I've had...
so I started my afghan all over again... never have had to do it this much might pull out a row or two but this is the 3rd time from the beginning... we will just hope for better results this time... I had fixed the miss count but had to add yarn to what I was using and the knots ended up in the fringe and not the part I would have cut out... and I couldn't handle it...
mom is doing lots better today able to get out of the bed easier... still hurts she hates the question on a scale of 0 and 10 where is your pain level... so regardless she usually says about a 6 she out to vary that a little bit though.. just glad to see her perking up a bit... think they are worried about her food intake though never good I thought today that she really doesn't care about food she will eat what is put in front of her but if you ask her what she wants rarely can come up with a answer... doesn't matter don't care that is another good name for a cafe I always wanted to name a cafe I Don't Know
it's cold tonight found out that my sil put the pink stuff in even the hot water tank isn't that one place it shouldn't go? will need to flush everything really well when I get south...
but do I wish that they would relax the visitor policy a bit I am going to feel really guilty if I leave and she has no visitors because the logical one to put on the list is my niece and she is so busy...if my dd was working her in town I would put her on it because she would go over and see her niece is really busy with her work being a mom and one of the girls has some extra places to be because she is autistic and something else so has lots of help she needs to go to... so I get it she is busy just not sure what to do... well you all have a good day
