Morning from the 45th. Cloudy with a bit of fog. Rain showers on and off for the weekend. ThEy say we have lost 5 hours of daylight since July and will lose more as we head to the Winter solstice. But bright s is, that once we hit that mark, it’s all uphill from there. The squirrels are busy burying acorns all over my backyard, driving the dogs, especially Piper nuts
They to are preparing for the upcoming winter.
Shelia, so sorry to hear about your mom, but thankfully you were there. Your family is going to have some tough decisions to make. (((Hugs))),
Shirl, it’s nice that you ventured out for lunch. . One can only confine one’s self for so long and eventually you have to get back into the Main stream of life. Covid is always going to be with us in some form or other, just like the flu. So all one can do is take precauctions and go about life. As to eating out alone, I do it all the time and I see a lot of other ladies eating alone too.
I’m hobbling around on a sore foot. Somehow or other, I got a couple bones in my foot out of place. Chiropractor treated me on Wednesday, but said comeback next week if needed. Am using my Walker in the house to keep weight off for now. And naturally I have a bunch of things needing done. Dogs are tracking leaves in cause I need to get the yard cleaned up, can’t really run the vac right now,
I was hoping to clean up the leaves today in front and back before the rain moves in tonight. Starting to sound like Martha here
My new bagger system arrived yesterday and neighbor installed it. Happy about that. Barbie, I had a feeling that something was up where you are working. Too much hour reductions, closed on some days etc, gave me the drift the owner didn’t really care about the business and changes were coming. Hopefully for the better. Good luck on your interview.
Took the dogs and headed north on Tuesdsy for my UP fix. Went to some areas I haven’t been to in a long time. Did about 270 miles by the time we got home, but it felt good to be on the open road especially now that the summer crunch is over. Saw some pretty fall color and ours here will be putting in a show about next week I figure.
Neighbors next door liked the results of my forestry mulching project, that they had him do theirs yesterday. They are the ones who bought my old house. Really looks nice and you can see the beautiful birch trees that were growing in all the scrub now. We had him open up about a quarter of the back property line. Said we aren’t picky about crossing the line. Same with the couple buying my lot. We have a pretty good fix on the lot line, but aren’t worried about a few inches either way. The guy that did the mulching said some people get upset if he knocks one fern down across the line, Sheesh. The paperwork for the lot is in the hands of the title company, so just waiting on that now.
Enough jabbering for the morning. You all have a nice dsy and stdy safe
