Cheryl, I'm so sorry about your dad, but agree with others you were there for him and now need to take care of yourself as you move forward. Hugs!

Sun is out! Only 54 degrees at 11 and 30 degree night temps on the way. The apartment stays quite warm overnight with no heat on - yet. With no ceiling light in the living room, these dark days convinced my I needed to get a floor lamp. Have a table lamp from days gone by and haven't decided about it yet.

Karen, I agree Hulu is much easier to navigate. Evie, I think a lot of us feel that way!

I forgot Rabbits again. Barbie, I like the idea of setting the alarm. Maybe I can remember that at the end of this month.

I have the shirt review on the two shirts I ordered. One is made by Style & Co. The material is thin, not even as thick as a t-shirt. It came out of the dryer very wrinkled. It didn't shrink side to side but is shorter since I washed it. The other shirt is by Tommy Hilfiger and is 100% better in every way.

BJ, I wish I knew someone that would come to my house and fix computer problems. I was getting along with my new phone until the other day. It was showing the weather where I had been camping and not Abbeville. I was trying to change it and now there is no weather showing and I don't know how to get it back. When I was in town I had gotten a call from my son and I was trying to call him back. The phone wouldn't go to the call screen. It was showing recent calls but wouldn't make a call. Kept messing with it until I was able to call him. Don't know what I did either time.

On the noon news they were talking about a cemetery tour at a town about 60 miles from here. They use the money for upkeep on the cemetery. One year there was a night cemetery tour of the old cemeteries in Abbeville during one of the festivals. I learned things about Abbeville's history that I didn't know. Both festivals Abbeville has have been cancelled again.

It looks like the rain is mostly in East Texas so I might not get any today. I went out and made the beds in the motorhome. I should have turned the air conditioner on for that fight. I have to pull the mattresses into the floor to be able to reach the back. Then the egg crate foam keeps falling off. My neighbors are going to Texas this weekend so I have to stay home. Next weekend some friends are camping at a town near here to go to something going on in that town. If the weather is nice I might join them. It will only be about 50 miles from here.

It has been a while since I last posted. Needless to say I forgot Rabbits.

Cheryl, so sorry about the loss of your Dad. Remember to take time for yourself now.

I am getting ready to leave Canada next week. This Winter will see me back in Florida from late October until at least mid February. I will be making a decision soon about March.
This Summer went by so quickly. I did manage to meet friends for camping in Alberta, and of course spent lots of time with my family. Fall is definitely here. I am looking forward to the colors as I move east.
Nothing more from here.

I hate to post more sad news, but I think Linda can use all the good thoughts, juju, prayers, etc. She has Covid and is now in the ICU. Maybe she'll beat me up for posting this but I'll take it. She told a private FB group after she was diagnosed, another member told them she's in the hospital, I told them ICU and even though she's not on here often, I wanted to send more good thoughts and prayers her way. Barbie, you might want to text or call her. She seems to appreciate when I do.

Statring prep for 2nd eye surgery Monday. The eye drop routine sure gets old quickly and now worse as have to do both eyes. Got an "all looking good" from doctor yesterday from initial surgery. Turned into a bad day however when he dilated both eyes. Took 12 hours for them to clear and it was painful. New eye is extremely light sensitive. Nonetheless ,am looking forward to get all this over with and be able to read without holding a magnifying glass.

Have had a week or so of great fall weather, no rain and humidity down to about 70%. Rain and chance of thunderstorms return late this weekend and into next week.

Sarah, I had a problem with light sensitivity too but was given drops for that too. Light almost blinded me. Call doctor and make him aware

I forgot Rabbits usually say it after midnight but forgot then talked with mom at breakfast not sure when I remembered that I should have said Rabbit's!!!! oh well there will be another month won't there???

However did get a text shortly after 9 saying that "little Dude" had arrived at that time no information on weight or length that came later I asked what Little Dudes name was going to be "still undecided" haven't heard yet as to his name but he weighed in at 7:14 and was 21 inches long... we are excited don't know when I will get to see him hopefully before I leave but at the same time if they are wise they might just not let just anyone in although hopefully great grandma isn't in that category
went to the grocery store two of them has anyone noticed that the in store bakery french bread seems to be smaller??? like a lot smaller?
stopped at the Chinese Restaurant got some fried rice Hopefully it's fried rice for what it cost better be... going to make coconut shrimp tomorrow thought that it would go well with it...
tonight was tater tot casserole thought it tasted really good mom never says but then it has been forever since I've had tater tot casserole...
right now going to go and make some hot chocolate might make it into Mexican hot chocolate.
when I went to the eye dr that started the whole cataract journey 6 weeks later I believe I was told I had dry eye... don't think it was caused from the surgery hope not but sure wasn't aware of it before...
I'm glad Beth that you mentioned Linda as I read the same information and was going to mention it tonight you had more information than I did .... sure hope she gets better... I know that where she works at will be closing soon will her rig be ok? One thing I did last year was sign up for a part of good Sam that will move your rig for you if your unable to due to accident or illness ect... for what they will do it's really cheap under a hundred... a lot of peace of mind

Sheila, yes it's a known and fairly common thing to have dry eyes after cataract surgery. It often improves some by six months after. over the counter drops work, but best to use the ones labeled no preservatives, ESP in first few months after.

I had dry eye after my cataract surgery, had to put drops in several times a day. This went on for six months to a year, then slowly resolved to the point I didn't need drops anymore.

Also, I had always had excellent night vision - I could see really, really well in the dark - could even go for a walk at night without a flashlight. After my cataract surgery, my night vision was just. . . totally gone. Couldn't see anything in the dark anymore.

I was pretty distressed about this - I had not been told this could be a side-effect of the surgery - but my vision had gotten so bad before the surgery it was becoming difficult to function (so I had little choice), and the improvement in vision post-surgery being astonishing (had forgotten what it was like to be able to see so clearly!), I just thought "oh well".

About the time I stopped needing drops, my night vision slowly began to return. It took about a year for it to come all the way back, but I was (and am) pretty happy. It has been about ten or fifteen years since I had the surgery, and have not had any further eye problems (knock wood!).
