Good Morning Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Morning Friday

Good morning to all who follow. Hope your day starts out better then mine. First I was sitting in living room eating peaches out of the can and looked up and tipped the can so the juice spilled on the Chinese wool rug we just had CLEANED! Ugh a mess. Oh well it will clean up eventually, have to do it in stages.
Then I went to work on my quilt. Have to trim the material square after sewn together. Looked at the numbers on the cutting mat wrong and trimmed it too small. GRRR. So remade it - wrong, had the stripes going at the wrong angle, ripped it out. Got it done. Made next one. Lined the strips up wrong and had to tear them all out. Thread broke as was sewing them back. DONE sewing for the day! Pictures of the quilt in progress on my blog.
At least our weather is getting nicer. Actually still coolish out at 9 a.m. And we are supposed to get rain later.
Don't know if any of you while in Vegas at some time went up the mountain to the Mount Charleston Lodge - well it burnt to the ground early this morning. It has been there forever. A great place to go for lunch on hot days. It will be missed. Luckily no winds today so firefighters have managed to keep it from spreading to other cabins and homes up there.
I should really put my shoes on and go out and walk around a little bit before it gets hotter. Clear my mind. Bill called his 92 year old brother yesterday, just to say HI. Well he wasn't home, he was out on his DAILY 5 MILE WALK.
We still don't have our RV back, they are waiting for a part. That's okay with me. Probably safer at dealership then here in storage.
Judy I feel for you with your mattress. We kind of went through the same thing getting one we ordered in the RV a couple of years ago. Those suckers are heavy. It amazes me they can come in such a compact package.
Nothing else of note to share. Have a great day out there.

Good Morning,
Carol I think you needed to reset your morning! I should keep up with walking, I walk a few days then quit. I need to be consistent to build up my strength for the new puppy! If I would work at it I could be in good shape by Thanksgiving, when they will be old enough for new homes.

I ordered a new iPhone 12 Pro and it should be here tomorrow!! I ordered it over the phone from the local AT&T store but they didn't have the color I wanted so they ordered it. I'm so glad I called it was the last day of a promotion and I got $350.00 off for my old iPhone 6!! I actually got it for less than the iPhone 12 as it comes with the 128GB! I can take it in and they will transfer everything from my old phone over!!

Carol, sometimes you just have to go back to bed and then start the day over. Hope things go better later today.

Nothing new here.
I plan to finish the living room tomorrow and work on the porch on Sunday. They will be scalping the lawn on Monday so I have to get the windows shut out there before then.
Maybe I should start out there tomorrow in case it takes longer than I think to work on it. :? I know one of the windows is stuck open so I might need to get my friend Dave over to help get it shut. The scalping makes a horrendous mess with dust, dirt, grass, etc blowing all over. A lot of the dirty mess in the porch is from when they scalped last time (with no notice  ) and all the windows were open. Hoping it stays cooler this weekend or at least with low humidity. Will have to start early in the morning anyways.

Gotta get ready for work soon. Have a good day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Oh, Carol, what a tough morning. Today was my easy work day this week (after more than a month of easy says). It's going to be super busy the rest of my work week.

I can't believe I forgot to share what happened yesterday. I always check the laundry room, clean if necessary. Yesterday I went in and there was a wallet sitting on the table. I turned it in to the managers. They looked up the guest and called. He had left already and was an hour down the road. He returned and was thrilled everything was still in it. He had everything in there including, I've been told, $600. The managers found me and gave me $50 he'd left for me.

Carol, I hope things get better with the quilting. I only tried quilting one time and couldn't get the corners to match so gave it up. My grandmother and mother liked to quilt but I would rather waste time on Facebook. I have a beautiful quilt that my sister's mother-in-law made for me. I should embroidery her name on it so maybe it would get back to one of her grandkids. I'm sure it would mean nothing to my son.

Beth, I'm sure that man was thrilled that you found his wallet and not someone else.

I decided to go to Petsmart in Lafayette to get a bag of Sugar's food. Of course, I had to go to TJ Maxx. I found 2 bags of Plantain Chips, which I love but don't need. It has been months since they had any.

Sugar found another dead bird in the yard that the cats probably killed. I think I got most of it away from her. She was trying to eat it feathers and all. I don't want another vet bill.

I passed by the RV shop and my motorhome was sitting out in front of the shop with 6 others. I would like to know what's going on but don't want to bug them.

BJ, you will get a workout with a new puppy. I'm friends on Facebook with a lady that breeds Australian Sheppards. The puppies are so cute. One of our dogs was an Australian Sheppard. Taking care of a dog keeps us moving but somebody just shoot me if I ever decide to get a puppy.

Carol I hope that the day got better... that is too bad about the lodge what caused the fire? I don't remember where it was but one time my brother in law and sister took me up Mt Charleston went into a Christmas Shop bought one of those figurines that one finds that one must have.... love it I rarely purchase on impulse and this was one of those but so glad that I got it...
Beth that is a really neat reward.... and I am sure that they are glad that you found it not some one that would take it someplace else...
had a friend over for supper ... she lost her husband last January I believe so we had stir fry turned out pretty good one of those I am sure you could adapt to feed fewer which I should have but .... didn't now we have left over's I try to have a meal and if there are left over have them like a day later and either some other lefter over the next day or a new meal... but got chops out for Sunday so I guess will have to decide which leftovers we will have tomorrow night stir fry or soup
frankly I'd rather go out but I also don't if that makes sense I want to go somewhere but need to go where parking is nice for mom and her walker so am tired of those places also... so guess it's leftover's not sure which though Does rice freeze??
actually other than trimming the fringe on the baby's afghan it is done!!!! I text my grandson and granddaughter asked if I should use up all the yarn knowing it wouldn't complete the heart or stop at the end of this section... they said stop so did put on the ending row's and I don't believe that I could have done another row if I did it would have been tight... now I need to finish granddaughter's dish clothes... and have yarn to start another afghan might rest my fingers for a day or two... or not... I hate just sitting watching tv so if I don't start the afghan I will just end up doing more FB or coloring or word search... the Swedish weave I should work on but it's simple not light enough to do so at night...
you all have a great day
