Pleasant Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Shirl, now you have me singing the songs from the distant past!! I remember doing the stroll! I loved to dance. We had a teen town and as soon as you graduated from 8th grade you could go. I had an older brother so I got to go a lot because he would 'look after me, HA so my dad thought. That worked until he went home without me one night. After that we met up in town and made sure we arrived home at the same time. So the song that is going through my head goes...The stroll, the twist the mashed potatoes too, any ole dance that you want to do....not sure if the mashed potato part is right as I don't remember that dance. On another subject you mentioned growing tulips in your patio garden, I saw something on FB yesterday that I thought looked like a good idea. They suggested using those clear plastic containers that are used for some carry out food. You put your soil and seeds in and put the cover down. As you water them I guess the plastic keeps them warm enough to sprout.

Barbie, guess I missed the part where you moved from your living room to your patio when you were cleaning and thought you were thinking of using your leaf blower inside. It is early here...

Talking about ice cream, I like Haagen Dazs vanilla bean and then I put whatever fruit is in season on top, I also freeze strawberries and peaches in small containers to use. My current topping is chopped up cantaloupe! I know it doesn't sound good but I really like it and though of it because I like cantaloupe pie. You mix chopped up cantaloupe iin vanilla pudding with cool whip or whipped cream and put in a graham cracker crust.

They don't offer it anymore. :( I bought stuff for strawberry shortcake the other day. Have had a couple bowls of that today. Yum! I put the strawberries over angel food cake slices instead of those cheap soggy cups they sell for it.

LOL. I think I could eat chocolate chip mint ice cream until it started running out my ears, and still not get tired of it. I also much prefer a nice slice of Angel Food cake with my strawberries; those cheap soggy cup things you describe definitely taste nasty. :o

Besides getting rid of all Covid restrictions, he wants to get rid of sex education in schools, and make abortion illegal. Great combination there! God only knows what else he will do! Crossing my fingers and toes for Newsome!

Another thing I hear "the guy" would apparently like to do is to eliminate the minimum wage. That would certainly be nice for employers. . . employees, not so much. :x I can't imagine the repercussions of this one thing alone.

I'm also with you on Governor Newsome. I'll not get into all of the politics of it, probably non-California WomenRv'ers won't have much interest, but I think Newsome has done a good job here. Has he made mistakes? Yes, probably. We all do. But he certainly gets my vote.

Nope BJ, I won't be doing the porch/deck/patio until it cools off some, like in the 80's. Way too hot out there now. Just want to get the living room done for the time being. I am not a hoarder, just a lazy clutterer.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
