Friday - Sept 3rd

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Friday - Sept 3rd

Postby JudyJB » Fri Sep 03, 2021 12:16 pm

I don't think anyone has started the forum for today. I am just taking it easy, thinking about vacuuming and doing some dusting. Will see if I actually get up enough energy to do it!

At another state park, but this one near Sandusky. Kids are coming up to their condo on Sunday. They were planning on coming up Saturday, but youngest daughter had a fit because Saturday is her birthday, and she wanted to spend it at home!! I'll spend Sunday with them and part of Monday before driving to Decatur, IN, to spend the night in the parking lot so I can get awning and slide toppers installed on Tuesday. Need to have rig ready and be in office by 5:45 am!! Yuck!

Breakfast today (still eating it) is french toast made from homemade bread and some bacon. OJ for a drink.

Morning, Judy and all who follow. Yes, it's still (barely) morning here. I've done the rooms and for for the day.
Nothing exciting to report. I want to go to town but I'd just but things I don't need so probably won't. I want ice cream lol. I definitely don't need ice cream.

Hi Judy & Beth & all!

Judy, that's funny about your daughter/grand daughter wanting to celebrate her birthday at home. As long as the occasion is being celebrated, it's all good. Beth, I try to keep ice cream out of the motorhome. That is one of my down falls.

We got Steve's truck out of storage today and where he took it, it was started regularly. This is the service center where we take our vehicles. Yesterday we refilled prescriptions. Tomorrow I need to practice for church.

I hope to hear about visitors to FL! We'd love to see you again!

I know how much me throwing fit would have counted when I was a kid. lol Not that we would have been gong on vacation anyway. In the 18 years I was at home the closest we ever came to a vacation was going to my Uncle's for Christmas twice. I was very close to an Aunt in Dallas and I was allowed to spend a couple of weeks with her in the summer. Now that I think about it, she probably paid for me to get to Dallas and home. My brother told me one time that I had a bette deal than they did.

I didn't do much today. I woke up with a headache that lasted until this afternoon. I need to go clean out the rose bed where the Directv dish is because someone is coming tomorrow. I won't be doing much tomorrow but waiting on them.

I still have half the container of the Coconut Pie Ice Cream. It's good but I get enough of it before I finish a half gallon.

Today near my home. Tribute to Sgt Nicole Gee, who grew up a few blocks away, married her high school sweetheart, and now is mourned by our community. Taken at the high school she attended.

I was never asked as a kid where I wanted to spend my birthday, either, Martha. I spent it wherever the family was on that particular day! And I can't imagine either of my kids getting a choice either, nor can I imagine them even asking. Son says she is spoiled. She is the youngest, although lately I have been feeling sorry for her because the two older ones have been picking on her.

I am certainly glad I grew up in a neighborhood where there were lots of kids my age and where we did not have to have "play dates." We just went outside and played, without our parents getting involved very often. I might have had to ask to go to another block or so, but most of the time, we went where we wanted to go. One result of that was that we learned to get along with a lot of different kids. Other than my younger brother, who was another story, I can't even remember anyone whining about much of anything. The only really irritating kid was one of my cousins who I remember hoarding any candy he had been given and waiting until the rest of us kids had eaten ours. Then, he would eat his slowly and publicly to make us mad!

we went and got my mom's replacement vaccine card... then went out to Wilson to the nursery..... famous last words to mom were I'm not buying anything just taking my phone to show them the picture of the plant(bought a Fuchia in the spring that never bloomed) so I was curious if they could tell me why... I was even thinking that perhaps it was a misplaced plant and I just got a vine... the gal there told me that they never saw any of this particular plant bloom in the nursery she offered me a replacement of any of the plants Fuchsia wasn't going to but decided why not there is a spot and perhaps the hummers will enjoy it and it was blooming
then we were going to go to Moo's for ice cream but they were closed so went to DQ got a sundae by the time we did that I waited till way late to fix supper and just had sandwiches just so we had more than Ice cream had avocado toast for bk mom had toast and half of an avocado
nephew and niece kids came over I'd text the niece and told her I needed help as we had way much banana bread brownies... so they came over for a bit of visit and treats...now to find more to give some away
sent a text (group) to my brother and dd I'd asked them to come to dinner on Sunday and I needed to know if they were brother replied back that he wasn't going to because of this varient he is out in the public a lot dd not so much as she works from home brother works on a dude ranch and although outside most of the day who is to say what he gets around I honestly hadn't thought about it when I asked him just thought Mom hasn't seen him in forever if they would just CALL that would help but most of them don't or if they do I don't know it and pretty much can hear the phone calls... and from the conversation figure out who the call is from...
you all have a good night
