Ty and I are still under the covers. It's up to 43 outside. Getting up to low 70's today. Only one room again today so not hurrying into work.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Morning Beth and All, cooler and rain on the shore. Henri traveling along the east coast will seriously affect the weather this weekend. A friend went to a doctor appointment yesterday and they had a sign reading “no N95 masks allowed”. Mayo Clinic says that N95 masks that have valves do not filter the air the wearer breathes out so does not protect people around the wearer. My masks do not have a valve but they are difficult for me to breathe through. There is so much info floating around it is difficult to make informed decisions. It’s a good thing I have a lot of time on my hands. Lol I do not put party before country although there are politicians I think belong in stockades. I read the interesting article below. Not trying to start a debate just info to read or delete. Be safe

Good afternoon Beth, Shirl and everyone!

Beth, I'm looking forward to the decision you'll be making on where you're going next winter. Shirl, our weather is, of course, the same as yours. I enjoyed the link you shared.

As Shirl said, it is raining on the shore. We woke up to a thunderstorm but now it is just wet and very gray. It looks like today, tomorrow and Sunday will be the same. We have lots of friends coming for meals for last minute visits before we pull out of here Thursday. We're looking forward to getting to our "home" in Florida to start emptying boxes of things we wanted to keep, among them books, my bell collection, framed pictures to go on the walls, window scarves I couldn't part with and a floor shelf for my music and records. We also have our "good" dishes that were inside a hutch that will become our everyday dishes. No more of just using them for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Now everyday will be special.

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Good morning to all. Still dealing with insurance company - they want all kinds of stuff - they seem to be implying we set the RB up to be stolen. Pisses me off. We will have temperatures in the 90s - high 90s for a few days, but can't go out and enjoy it as the smoke is thick enough to spoon up. The moon setting this morning. color is from the smoke.

We got our booster shots yesterday, my are is a little sore. Bill is feeling woozy and went back to bed. But makes me feel better to have it. Will still wear masks when going inside stores etc.
Will get to go into RV sometime next week to sort every thing out. Do know for sure three things are missing. Two of which were hand made, one by Bill - my box and the other a pair of earrings and a necklace I made for a friend in Mazatlan. Oh well it will give me something to do to remake them.
Not much else going on.

Beth, send that weather over here. I will be happy yo trade this hot sun and 80’s for it  Fortunately, tomorrow is the last day of this stuff. Bit of a cool down on Sundsy. Warming up agsin next week, but no talk of humidity.

Just saw where the east coast is now under a Hurricane Watch. That will certainly make things interesting. Henri is expected to strengthen to a possible hurricane. Guess you will be battening the hatches down.

Nothing doing here. Just ran a few errands up town and did some raking in the newly cleared area behind my shed. Can only do that for a short period, as too hot after noon. Will just putter this afternoon. Got a call that my glass is ready for my trailer screen door. I took the lower screening out a year ago and replaced it with plexiglass since the screen was getting beat up. Madee some vinyl Windows to cover the upper screen when weather is hot or cold, so I can leave the exterior door open even with the heat or AC on. Decided to have a piece of plexiglass cut to fit the upper part, take if off when not needed and have then door part available when I want. Easier than screwing around with Velcro. Need to go pick it up.

Pups need a quick potty hike, so off we go.

Nearly noon and still in jamas again. Beth, I'd like some nice low night temps so I could use the fireplace insert in the TV console. :)

I had planned to go to Walmart today for non-food items, but of course food as well while I'm there. Will put it off until Monday when the statewide indoor mask mandate begins. Found out another Sling friend had Covid, was very sick and not vaccinated.

On a happy note today, my Air Force grandson passed the staff sergeant exam!! The thought is that once he returns from Qatar, he'll be transferred to who knows where. Other grandson finished his bachelor's degree this week.

Be well and stay safe!

I got my booster shot yesterday. Sure hope I dont have to have any more. Arm is super sore, worse than last 2 times. Feeling blah. Kind of achy and I was cold. No headache this time, maybe because I took Tylenol before I had a headache this time. I was chilled (no fever) so I crawled back in bed, much to the dogs delight. Slept for a couple of hours. Got up and had a little something to eat and pour myself a big glass of water to sip on. I remembered to take the garbage can out to the street before I went back to bed but when I got up he still hadn't come but I didnt want to worry about that. He came about 11:15 so now I just have to go fetch it. With the last shot I felt just fine the next day so I am going on that premise again
But today will just be a wash, not doing anything.

My booster shot arm is sore, but about the same as with the other two shots. Overall, however, I am achy and really tired because I spent about four hours this afternoon sorting through stuff I have stored in my son's basement. He carried the two heaviest boxes over to the couch so I could work on them, but I still did a lot of lugging around of heavy ones. I had dropped off two boxes last week, so put them away, which meant some lifting. Son was home, but he spends most of his day on the phone in long teleconferences with employees who work for him. He's an engineering sales manager for the eastern half of the U.S. for a Swedish robotics company. Both he and DIL have worked out of their home for over ten years, which is nice. Next week he will be gone all week, so I will slow down my sorting until he gets back so he can lift stuff onto shelves for me. I brought my drill bits to my motorhome and wanted to bring my good electric drill, but the batteries had leaked sticky stuff all over it. They will cost as much to replace as a new drill, so that is what I will do--but try to get a slightly smaller and less heavy one, if I can.

I also brought some books I want to read now that I am no longer teaching and theoretically have more time available. We shall see, but so far I have not found a whole lot of extra time available to me! Where does it go????

I got my booster on Wednesday and all I have is a little soreness and redness on my arm. For those getting shots in the future, I thought I’d pass on a recommendation made by CVS. They say to drink 16 oz. of water one hour before getting your shot to help alleviate after-effects. I’m not sure this works because I was driving the hour before my shot and didn’t have water with me. I did drink water immediately after though. Wouldn’t hurt to give it a try an hour before.

Am in Wisconsin right now for my nephew's wedding tomorrow.... saw my sister in law and brother in law tonight visited for a bit then came to the airbandb not sure of it's abbreviation but it will work more stairs than I like but at least I don't have to go downstairs to use the bathroom... it's a shared bathroom but we are the only ones here right now so that is good... not sure what we have planned to do tomorrow find a gift perhaps a vase or candle or something from this area...
sure when through some pretty areas the past couple of days... we went over the big horns in Wy was looking forward to it but the fog was so bad that it was nerve racking to say the least... had planned on going to the cemetery in Rapid City to visit my grandparents graves but it was too late bad lands was dark think we need to make another trip... and you say why not return the same way but we want to drop down into IA go see our old stomping grounds and go to the cemetery there for my dd to leave flowers for her grandparents... then west to Omaha oh get a Maid Rite while in the state.. might go back up from Omaha to 90 and do what we missed out on... we will see... 80 going through WY isn't my favorite drive so we just might consider it seriously...
my db text me asking if mom always sleeps the day away... I said pretty much when she is tired and I don't think she slept well the night before wasn't happy about going over but that is the way it is
Beth if you are going to be in West Yellowstone you will love the area... we workkamped in Island Park about 30 miles south of West... and it is a gorgeous area...
my computer time isn't correct and I just now realized that it is after midnight so need to get off and finish a couple of things and go to bed I don't think the alarm will be set tonight
son in law had his surgery on Weds they are planning on having him leave the hospital tomorrow because of where the area was that they needed to remove he no longer has a gull bladder nor appendix guess he won't have to worry about some of that...
and it's so good to get out of the smoke it had gotten so bad that it was hard to breath
you all take care

It's midnight here. Been a busy day!

Got up early to go to PT. She worked me over pretty good today! Then came home and checked on Lily. She was still under the bed but after some enticing, I at least got her to come closer so I could reach my hand under there and pet her head. She loved that and rubbed against my hand. Wouldn't come out tho. Maybe tomorrow...

Took a short nap and then off to work. One of the girls makes edibles and gave us some. I think I will give some to my old manager at GC's when I go get my haircut probably this weekend. I was helping with a new project when I first got to work, bundling up small packages with rubber bands. After just 10 minutes I started having a lot of pain in my shoulder so I had to stop. I went back to our usual tasks and was much better.

The TNR lady wanted me to trap a cat and bring it in tonight before 9:30. Well I don't get home from work until 6:30 so that didn't give me much time, especially since most of the cats don't come out until well after dark. My plan was to put food in front of where Spooky lives to keep him occupied, but that didn't work. He was hanging out by the gazebo behind my house. I gave him a bowl of half tuna and half wet cat food in the gazebo and then set the trap on the deck. Pretty soon, I saw him coming up on the deck, so I got the rest of the canned cat food and filled the dish in the gazebo again for him. I figured he would be good and full after that. Nope! He came back up and was eyeing the dish in the trap. I tried to chase him off but he kept coming back. I finally tied the trap door open and went inside. I watched him go in the trap and finish off the food in there. I gave up after that since it was getting late. Will try again next month.

Another beautiful cooler morning this morning. About 78* and no humidity! Only got to 99* today. Nice to have some cooler days now, at least for awhile. September can be very hot yet.

I am tired tonight. No alarm for me tomorrow! Took a nibble of one of the edibles (kind of like a rice crispy treat) so that should get me relaxed soon. :D

Good night...yawn...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
