She is a beautiful ship. A few years ago we had a whole bunch of tall ships come through the Great Lakes including that one. It was a hot summer day and my dad and I had gone north, not quite up to Mackinaw to spend some of the day at a roadside park by the straits, because it was cooler. We were sitting there and it was a bit foggy over the water due to colder water and warmer air. I saw something in the water and watched for a few minutes. Out of the mist, like a ghost ship, came the Pride of Baltimore, sailing under full sail. I have never forgotten that sight.

I didn’t actually seen this beautiful sight. I copied the picture. I have seen the Pride when it was docked at Baltimore inner harbor. On my way to work I did see the replicas of Columbus 3 ships sailing up th bay. Tiny little ships when viewed from the Bay bridge.

Barbie you could be right about the picture being a painting. There are no cars on the bridge which is unheard of.

I've seen that ship at the Harbor in Baltimore and it is quite magnificent.

When Steve & I were in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, we patrolled on the Chesapeake Bay for the "tall ships" that passed through the area to give them the right of way. It's a beautiful area we live in (but way too much traffic on the roads).

Beautiful picture!! I love the tall ships. Got to see them come into Boston led by Old Ironsides several years ago. Quite a sight. Lyn
