Good Afternoon. It’s past noon here and nobody’s been on yet. Guess you must all be having a lazy Sunday. I’ve. Een to mass, grocery shopping, had lunch and going to package some meats and chicken for the freezer after I finish bere.

Rain showers passing through,' rained most of yesterday, but no storms or rain like thry are having in the central/southern parts of the State and below that. It’s nice to see things greening up again. I worked on my bench project most of the afternoon yesterday and did a little painting in my porch table. The weather is so humid that it’s taking my craft paint a long time to dry. Heading back to garage after I process the freezer stuff and finish the bench. I see you gals out East are having same type weather. Humidity here is supposed to be gone by mid week.

Annie, I hate to see you give up your dream of taking a bigger trip, but I understand. Wish you could haul out and head and bit northwest and then west, come over this way to MN, WI and MI. I know you would enjoy it. I would try to sell your trailer yourself first, as like BJ said, they are in big demand right now. Those places charging commissions will give you a suggested price, sell it and then take their commission. You could sell it for more yourself. With climate changes in the weather, more and more people buying RV’s and campgrounds getting more and more crowded and harder to get into etc., plus people traveling all over and crowding scenic and tourist destinations, I am sitting in the fence about selling mine too. It might be post pandemic , everybody wanting to get out and go and maybe it will die off in another year, who knows.
I’m getting like Martha, in that I don’t like camping in hot or chilly weather much anymore either.

This isn’t getting my meat to the freezer, so better get with it. Have a nice day all and keep safe out there.

Afternoon all! It’s going to be a mostly inside or sit on the porch kind of a day. It’s way to hot to be working out in the sun and heat. Maybe later this afternoon when the yard is shaded but that’s iffy too. It was even a warm night last night instead of the 40’s and 50’s! Maybe summer is here! Just happy not to be dealing with the heat you all are out west. I spent a good part of yesterday just cleaning up the back porch and throwing some things away. I hauled some of my plastic chairs out to the garage and want to get some spray paint to brighten them up. I can’t believe they’ve held up all these years! I want to paint them something bright and cheerful! I did finally get the anode installed and it doesn’t appear to be leaking so that’s good news! Yay me. I was determined to do it myself and I think it was the Teflon tape was the problem! Took a couple of tries to get there! So that’s about it for me today. Hope you have a good day. It hasn't made it to 90 yet but it's very humid. I forgot to check the rain gauge but it rained last night and this morning. I have been washing clothes. It seems like I usually wash on Sunday. That's the one day I seldom go somewhere.

I haven't seen MeMe in a couple of days so I was going to ride the golf cart down the road to where she likes to hang out. The golf cart won't run. It was running fine the other day when I used it. There is a place in town that rents golf carts to people at the state park. I sure hope they repair golf carts too because I don't want to haul it to Lafayette. I will have to get the neighbors to help me load it.

When I first put my hummingbird feeder up in the spring there were about 6 to 8 birds coming. Then they all disappeared except one that I see sometimes late in the afternoon. I'm a member of a Louisiana Nature Group on Facebook and someone ask where the hummingbirds went. No one had an answer but glad to see it's not just me.

hmmm maybe it is just not me then.... typically I put out a feeder and they come Hummer's that is but this year I put one out nothing so since that particular one I've not had any luck with I had the girls bring me over one of mine and put it up and still no birds... perhaps they have already found their food and not interested in looking...
have a feeling I got too interested in this movie and will end up finishing it...
my brother and niece came so good to see them have seen the brother the niece not in such a long time so happy to see her... I was mixing up some sweet biscuits for strawberry shortcake and had my hands deep in to the flour and butter... she was wanting a hug would have even taken one with hands that messy but we refrained.... love that gal...
my roast turned out good mom was afraid when I told her I would put it in the oven after church that it wouldn't have enough time to get done but it was the veggies where done and there was enough now if the boys had come not so sure about that sure I would have put more veggies in but there would have been no meat left over ...
it has so been a good weekend and I am really thankful for my family...
had to laugh at my mom today I said something about that I couldn't get a hold of the girls that they must have been taking a Sunday afternoon nap mom made the comment that she never naps I looked at her and she said she just dozes off in her chair hmmm it sure looks like a nap and sounds like a nap I guess we have different meanings to some things...
