Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Morning All, sunny and evening t-storms predicted. The weekend is over so I am free to roam the roads. Have a Walmart order to pickup. After the kids went back to school the Walmart service suffered. Guess Walmart is having a hard time hiring too. Sheila, I have a Chefman 3.6 digital air fryer which is a perfect size for small counter space and me. If you cook for more people you would want a larger size. Stay cool and safe

Anita, are you still sleeping? :)

Morning Shirl and all others. I'm having trouble getting moving this morning. But work is calling so must try. Ty is still under the covers so need to get him moving, too. Hit 90 here yesterday and will be in the 90's for a week or more. Nothing compared to so many other places.

Velda, since I started doing hard boiled eggs in the air fryer, it even beat out the pressure cooker for me. But I wouldn't want to give up either appliance.

Good Monday morning! I got back from my trip yesterday morning. I left earlier then originally planned but storms were forecasted for afternoon so decided leaving early was the best course of action since I was due to leave anyway. I only had rain when I was a few miles from home but ran out of it. Must have rained here since roads were wet but nothing more until afternoon. It gave me plenty of time to clear out the frig etc before the storms hit. We had a real thunder boomer late afternoon. I had a great trip, love the campground. Only a couple of minor glitches like locking myself out of the camper. I still don’t know how it happened and usually I tuck my keys in my pocket but didn’t plan on locking it since I wasn’t walking Rascal far. Turns out the couple next to me knew the couple I was with and although he had master keys since he works for a dealer transporting units but of course his didn’t work in my lock. My windows were open and the screen could be opened so he put one foot on the tire and hefted himself in! We had all thought of moving one of the pickups to give them the height since there were no ladders to be found. My hero! Camp host an ranger wanted me to call their locksmith! A liability thing we decided. So that was my biggest excitement of the trip. I need to figure where I can hide a key outside. Didn’t we just have a conversation about that very thing? Anyway, all and all it was a very laid back few days. The thing I realized driving home was how “normal” it was. No masks in sight and people visiting and conversing. Usually at a nice distance but still a different feeling. So now I’m back to reality and need to catch-up on yard work and get some laundry done from the trip and try to catch up on all the news here. Have a great day.

Good morning gals!

Yesterday there was a brush fire that started up in the mountains just west of here. I could see the smoke when it first started. Luckily, it was just off the main highway going up over the mountains from here so the firefighters were able to get to it easily. As of last night, it had burned 400 acres, was 10% contained, destroyed 2 homes and damaged 3 others, and one firefighter was injured. Hopefully, they can get it fully contained soon. Luckily, not in an area where there is forest, just brush.

Nothing else going on here.

Good Morning!

Shirl, sleep? :D The wedding guests from the west side left about 2 yesterday and I slept most of the rest of the day! Still getting up early (for me). Monica is now Mrs. Perfect - heaven help me. We had a great weekend - lots of fun and laughs. Grandson Kyle was the officiant for the wedding and did a wonderful job especially when addressing Alan. Had planned to car shop today, but it's raining. Had 2 young deer out front while I had coffee this morning.

Brain isn't fully functioning yet so one more cup of coffee!

Hello Everybody from rainy CT
I’m going camping in the rain!!! Back in January, My Roadtrek buddies and I booked sites for three nights camping at the beach here in CT.... we keep texting each other to see if anybody is loading up in the rain. Luckily the campground is only an hour’s drive, and the rain may let up.... old age has turned us into wimps... Peggy

Beth, I'll look up hard cooking eggs in AF and try a few, just to see. I did them years ago in regular oven because people were raving about it, but didn't work well for me, too hard to peel, as i recall. I'll report back. I do use my AF a lot, way more than I thought I might when I got it.
We are warming this morning, 81, headed for 90 and starting Wednesday 100° amd above for at least 3 days. May hit 110°!
A possible camping trip for August popped up for a lake about 50 miles to north. Of course that depends on fire season, but I really would like to go and meet some gals I've talked with for couple of years. It will be freestyle with no particular plans, but good to be out and near water.
The committee just announced our 55th high school reunion. Where does the time go?! I'll definitely plan to go for that. Being held in the back yard of long time friends. Ray was my classmate starting in kndergarten and his wife's ( she is a year or two younger)Mom was my Moms best friend for decades so I've known her a very long time too. Will be a nice day, for sure. I can't believe how many of us are still friends, having started kindergarten together in Mrs Ford's class in September 1953, now nearly 68 years later! We lose a few more each year, so I count myself lucky to be among the long term survivors.
I will head for Curves in 20 min then finish clearing my front porch, before the later in week begins baking us.
So great to hear about your camping trips as you report. May we all have a safe fun summer ahead.

We had some good rain for a couple of days but alas I am pretty sure it is over. We will be heating up this week and 96 next Monday......ugh Will be going to Medford next Tuesday 100 ugh and in the high 90's while I am there. Good thing my friend just got a new air conditioner down there.

Since I had a lazy day yesterday had to get busy today. Laundry, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning my Robot vacuum. Now going to make some sloppy joes for lunch with a small salad.

I love both my Air Fryer and my Instant Pot but for different things. I use my Air fryer mostly. Best appliance I have ever had. I had a NuWave and liked it alot also but it burnt up in the fire and I haven't had a need to replace it since I got the air fryer. Will be baked potato in the air fryer tonight. Love how fluffy it comes out with nice crispy skin and a hamburger patty.

I'm trying to post the group picture from my campout. The state tourism office gave us all a shirt and bag. We were suppose to go kayaking or tubbing but the river was still too high so we spent the weekend sitting in the creek. We always have a good time at this campout. I would like to make one trip where I don't have a problem. When I got ready to leave my coach batteries were dead. The display said that the inverter is bad. I never turn the inverter on because I know the batteries won't charge with it on. I ran the engine for a few minutes so I could close the slide. This morning everything looks good. I usually run the generator when I'm traveling because it is a convenient time to exercise it. The generator would start but wouldn't stay running. I'm wondering if that made the inverter come on. I need to call and make an appointment and I know it's going to be 2 month before I can get in the place that's close.

Interstate 10 is a nightmare. Going there was a backup that started 10 miles before Baton Rouge and we just crawled all the way to the 10 - 12 split. I hate to be stopped on the Mississippi River bridge with the 18-wheelers. Coming home there kept being slow downs and I never saw a reason for it to happen. The July campout is in Mississippi and I'm not going just because of I-10. There aren't many places to cross the river without going way out of the way.

I had to go to the bank this morning so went to Walmart. I didn't have a list but think I remembered everything plus more. Summer is here, it's 98 today. Last night a storm blew through about 11:00 and I got 3/4 inch of rain. It was thundering and lightening so much Possie decided she could come in the house again.

If I had to choose one appliance I would choose the air fryer. I hate to heat up the oven just to cook a small amount so use the air fryer for most things. I didn't know you could cook eggs in an air fryer. I'll have to look that up.

Sheila Would your mom drink a smoothie?I have a Nutri Bullet that does a good job. For a smoothie I mix a bit of milk 1/2 cup, a handful of spinach, a stalk of celery,1/2 cup blueberries, 1/2 banana,a teaspoon of ground flax seed. It is really good and taste sweet because of the banana and berries. You can also add 1/2 apple if you like. The celery is very good to keep sodium levels up is an added plus.
