Rainy Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Rainy Friday

Morning All, woke up to the sound of rain and 70° temperature. Youngest granddaughter is coming today and bringing lunch. We text but haven’t seen each other in over a year. She renovated my ole house which I haven’t seen because of the pandemic. She works long hours at Johns Hopkin hospital and her schedule is uncertain so today is a special treat. Today will be a putz around the house until she gets here. Wishing all rain and cooler temperatures. Be safe

YAY we are having rain today. 54° with high of 65° We sure need it. Don't think it is a big event but we shall see. Now to ponder on what I will accomplish inside. There is always something to organize. My closet might be on the list. Did my drawers last week so all is good there. I do need to work on my office but am waiting until I have everything for it. My file cabinet is organized but the surrounding areas still have stuff I need to find a home for. This room is kind of an office/storage room LOL

Time for breakfast before I get busy. Thinking scrambled eggs and sliced tomato, yup that will work.

Good morning!

Cool, cloudy, threat of rain but need it to hold off - preferably for a week! Have a grocery run to make for wedding breakfast and lunch, and the outdoor wedding tomorrow. Alan is in a bit of a panic and thinks they should get married at home - with the river right there, that would have been my choice. Karen, I do not want to hear you are still organizing!  You are suppose to be giving hope. :)

Yesterday turned out to be a good day. Got a last minute call the cabinet bed was on the truck and coming in a hour. I think he was here in 15 minutes. This was a curb only delivery but being old paid off. He got a nice tip. Ran my errands - still learning my way around Wenatchee and making wrong turns even with Waze. Bought the adult beverages for wedding. With those here and large box (bed) sitting in living room, kids were to come when she got off work. His sister was to come about the same time and guess he didn't think she could be without him for 10 minutes! Couldn't stand having the box in LR so I unloaded it and carried pieces into office. I'll probably get a talking to when Monica finds out.

Meeting and visiting with other tenants - I go outside for something and there is almost always someone walking their dog! :)

Time to make a zillion trips to recycling with cardboard. :) Have a good weekend.

Good morning - or I guess afternoon to all. Got out this morning for a walk - 2 3/4 miles. Probably the last one for a while. Going to have temperatures as high as 116 next week. There is no time of day or night it will be cool enough to go out to walk. The activities manager here is checking into the closest mall that allows walking early. Don't know if I'd be interested in that - driving back and forth etc. No one wants to car pool.
Also now working on our summer get a way. Every time I think I have it set Bill changes his mind about the way to go. We have reservations at 6 different campgrounds, 2 in Washington and 4 in Oregon. five of them for a week each. So I have to figure out from here to first reservation - IF we get out of here when we are planning we'll have 17 days to travel to first reservation in Quincy, WA. So now need to find places to stay during that time. Then after last reservation in Oregon we'll just meander home. Except I have to arrange a start and stop date for our mail forwarding. I hate to make changes once I've sent it to the Post Office. Especially with the stop date.

I woke up with a sore neck on my left side and down the back of my shoulder. Hurts to touch. Went to PT this afternoon and they worked on it massaging it and then stretching it. Still sore tho. :( I have had a bad headache all day too. I have been grinding my teeth really bad lately so that is probably why.

Now the forecast is for temps pushing 120* most of next week! That won't be fun! I am really worried about the stray kitties. I found a couple of shoebox sized plastic bins that I will fill with water and put one by each of the openings in the houses they are living under. I will also fill one under my carport for any others that are around. I always have a smaller one up on the deck with the food dish too.

Also another cluster of earthquakes tonight south of here along the Salton Sea. One 4.3 earlier but I didn't feel it. Might be rocking and rolling later tonight! :o

Tomorrow I will try again to get my taxes finished. I bought some stuff to make the cat door for Lola to be able to go out on the porch, altho I think this week it might be too hot out there for her. But will be good for less scorching days later. If the project works out, I will post a picture of it.

Anita, I hope the wedding goes well, without a hitch!

Off to bed after some Ibuprofin.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

We had a busy Friday here! I woke Chris and did my morning critter chores, then off to Curves! Had a good workout with friends but learned price per month going up 23% in September. Might start looking at other gyms in area. Came home and had a drink of water, then back in the car and took Chris to a small pharmacy a few miles up the busy Sunrise and he finally got his first Pfizer vaccine! Back to grocery and got a few things we were out of, then home. Rested a bit then Sean the handyman finally showed up. And finally brought my fathers burial flag back. I handed it to him 2 1/2 years ago so he could measure and build a display case for it. I was getting pretty frantic over it getting lost as he moves and he had hurt feelings thati didn't trust him. News flash Sean, it's my Dads casket flag and you've had it 2-1/2 years! Feel more relaxed now. But it's time to get tougher with Mr I've had to help someone with an emergency and not showing up weeks at a time. I'm changing things up. He can deal with my new deadlines or move on!
Had supper then spent evening watching our favorite of moment, Murdock Mysteries.
Hope in morning to empty front porch as heat is returning to triple digits by start of week I think.
Have a good weekend.
