Oh yeah! It's Monday Alrighty..Morning all.. Ever notice that Somedays things just look better Upsided down LOL Well, it's one of those "Special Mondays".. Stayed up too late ..and when the critters got up it was a mad dash.. everyone was at the slider before me..heard the crash and thought OH NO! Yeppers..It was a site to behold.. 40lb bag of dog food..down and out..Robert had put the bag down for me so I could fill the bins...and of course he opened the bag for me..and I guess was gonna do it but something else took it's place LOL so he just had it on the table (have this huge table made from electric wire spindle) it was just folded over at the top...and I can't say, "Who" but it hit the floor and spilled out..Yes, hundreds of little balls of food all over.. Sooooooooo on with my morning ... and let's see how all your weekend went...(make for better thoughts )..Keep smilin it will get better..(positive thoughts now )..

Fernie brought it in with her Birthday (hope you had a great one ) and then started up the campfire..as you know we all need moments to sit around and just watch that wood burning...speaking of which

Nasoosie..(Soos) done showed us her Wood Pile..and the future space of where the "new" load will go...By the way Soos, how many cords of wood do you get ? Also her tent she put up by herself for her Screen Room..You did good there Soos..but I'm sure you were wiped for awhile.. Lots of work you do..and you have your Molly on a Zap collar..so she stays close..not bad.. I wish I could Zap a few others..Like Hubby LOL.. but that's another topic hahahahaha..

SunshineCruiser..(Carolyn) Wow love those PJ's ya know after you show and tell us.. lots will be heading for Walmart..and just wait till we have a GTG more like PJ party.. out will come these outfits hahahha..but honestly it's really neat..gotta love them colors.. NOw you also know that I'm sure Retiredhappy (Karen) when seeing them....

Vickie have we maybe convinced you in a pair of Flamingo PJ's too..

RetiredHappy..(Karen) you have a Walmart close by ?? I got a feeling you'll be making a visit soon !

Carold (Carol and Bob)..Yes, I did check on your Washing your Rig..Up on the top..leaning over..ooooooh yeah..Did ya ever try using the fabric softner sheets on the windshield.. Wipe them down with it.. and they say.. when you need to wash windshield the bugs just come off very easy.. Of course now that we all are getting turned on to the newest Soap and Fabric Softener Sheets..(all in one) don't think you can use that method.... Can't wait to see your pictures coming up as you head out Death Valley and on up through to the Sierra Nevada's.. Did you get your windshield crack filled.. forgot to ask.. when I headed out that way I got a stone hit the front too..and I had a guy come out and fill it..before it got to far..in fact I was surprised when he told me.. it's very common out there..and insurance company was on the ball. did a great job in fact it worked perfectly..never had another problem and when I let my rig go.. You couldn't even tell it had been hit.

GetupNGo..(Janice) Glad to hear that you rig is getting fixed..oh down pours..seems they've been many here too.. any word on the slider yet ?

Paulette looking for a better route or some scenic Ideas as she heads on out to Iowa.. Lake Anita.. Paulette.. when I traveled out that way because of the size of my rig.. I didn't do back ways..for me it was easier .. You are close by the beltway to head on out to 70..also keep check on your weather..I went around the Great Lakes and strait on out from Pa turnpike to Ohio and through Illinois into Wisconsin stayed mainly on Interstate and stayed in Rest Areas.. but it was in 93 so have brain freeze.. and I was on destination heading toward Seattle..Great trip and very Adventuress..floods were happening..ouch..lots of rain and oh yeah those funky winds that kind of spin..eeeeew...I remember my visit in Iowa..the floods were doing numbers and I was trying to avoid areas..in fact I had to delay my return as lots of areas roads were not good..so we (girlfriend and I) enjoyed the rest of the journey..

Mtngal (Diana) asks..To Color or Not To Color that is the Question Oh boy.. now depends on how ambitious you are..and how fast your hair grows..LOL for me. it's the way it is.. somedays I think..hmmm be nice ..then somedays I say.."Heck that's a lot more work".. So I went with, "it works for me" make it easy for YOU...but you got some good replies.. So What's it gonna be ????

Oh and one last thingy.. Mitch (I promised ) Not sure where I bought it.. but the Off Clip On.... I know sounds wild..but if it works.... and you clip it on you ..and it keeps skeeters away.. haven't used it yet..as haven't been in the back yard in evening lately ..but any of you check gadgets..it's topic there.. I'm anxious to try mine.. Mitch I think I picked it up in Walmarts (not really sure might have been at Lowes )..two places I go to often.. So headup on on that and check it out !!!

Ok..speaking of vibes I'm running so behind that I'm gonna use wheels to get me in the right direction..LOL So with that my table is set..(I did that before I sat down) and my Coffee pot if perking..Kettle is Whistlin and I'm hearing noises so hubby has come down and in the kitchen..Yikes..LOL Nah he's a good man..just some days..well ya all know that one..LOL I only have some donut holes and corn and blueberry muffins..so help yourselves.. I have a very busy day today.. will be gone most of it....so I'm gonna load me crock pot and set it and forget it.. LOL just as I leave today...Gawd ya gotta love them Crock Pots.. Do stop in and say "Hey" as we all are always anxious to hear what's happening on you Adventure...

Oh no that does sound like a mess Barb. Especially bad are the messes that happen before coffee.

I guess I'm strange, I like Mondays and don't like weekends particularly Sundays. You would think since I'm retired they would all seem the same but they don't even when I was working I didn't like Sundays they always felt lonely.
It's supposed to get hot and humid here mid-week so I'll be doing a lot of inside work and reading.

A bright sunny morning to everyone. Sitting here with my coffee and croissant from Sam's Club. (they are pretty good)
Yesterday it just rained a touch here and there and now and again. Mostly the air was so thick with humidity you could see and wear it.
Had company in aft and sat out on the bedroom deck under the new awning. Was nice. Today is bill pay day and budget catching up day. Ugh. Also going to get my laptop cleaned off and ready for another trip - if we ever get going. Waiting for the weather to be nice.

Good after noon all,

I had to head out first thing this am, and drop the truck of at the mechanic for the oil change, brakes and trip check for the big trip.
Then DS picked me up and dropped him off at school...then it was off to get a new washer and dryer. Our washer finally died (10 years old). The dryer that we had bought died a couple of years ago. We had an old one from a friend..it got us a couple more years. It was getting very temperamental. So now we have a new set. Seems to be working great.

I will try and get pictures from this past weekend uploaded and posted.

Kodie did so well...we really challenged her this trip on a hike. It really gives us an idea of what she can do and she did amazing. We hiked on the 8 mile Trail in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area. The hike to the small lake is 2.8 miles one way. We made it 2 miles..as we went by time. Then it was lunch and back down to the trail head. Based on a friend who had a GPS, we made it to the 2 mile point. So Kodie hiked the 4 miles which is way more then I though she would. I do think it was her max...as on the way back down..I would say the last 1/2 mile...you could tell she her legs were tired. She was starting to stumble and loose her footing a bit. So we are safe to say..we can do up to 3 miles with no problems. I also think that hiking boots would have helped, we just had on tennis shoes.

Well I need to get back to cleaning up the downstairs and de junking.

I typed a post earlier and it went to cyber heaven I guess. You had a bummer of the morning. I hope the rest of your day went better than you were expecting and that everything turns out ok.

Looks like we will be shoving off for Illinois tomorrow. I got a 11:15 appointment in Decatur with the podiatrist!! From there we will head to Detroit to check on Bash's house. We aren't looking forward to going to Detroit but we have to do it. Just hope nothing has been torn up again. Security hasn't called so they haven't been in the house. Who knows about the garage. They knocked a hole in the side of the garage and got in there a year and a half ago!!!

Oh My, Barb! What a horrific way to begin the day! If your critters are all like Molly, they probably rushed around trying to eat it all before you could get it picked up! Sorry about that little mishap!

It poured rain here all day today, and some roads were flooded when I drove home from school. This house is fine, although power was off for a while. things have clamed down, now, and I hope we'll have a quiet night. I checked the rain guage, and we got just over 2 inches of rain from last night when I dumped the guage. All tolled, I would hate to guess how many inches have fallen this month, never mind in May as well. I dumped over 3 inches from there just the other day! ACK! Enough I say!

Yay for Kodie! She will become quite the hiker this summer, if Kris has anything to say about it!

How come Bash's house is vacant and gets broken into? That sounds nasty!

Time for bed for me....see you all tomorrow.
