Sandi, your work is beautiful and the stamp is called a “chop” if I remember correctly. Peggy

Yes Peggy, I mentioned the term “chop” yesterday but thought saying stamp was a little easier for all to understand what I was talking about. Lots of new stuff with this new hobby.

I’ve had the same brushes from pretty much the beginning. The one I’ve been using the most is one of the smallest, size 0, especially for the hummingbird recently. I do think I’m slowly improving in technique. Because I have to locate a local source of a specific kind of paper, right now I’m just using cold press watercolor paper which doesn’t allow some of the specific techniques of Chinese brush painting.

All my life I’ve jumped from one type of art to another. During one summer when I was between jobs, I tried “scratch art.” It involves using a paper that’s white underneath with a top layer of black ink. Then I used an X-acto knife and scratched off the ink.

Sandi. I apologize, I thought art was new to you but I was wrong. You are a very talent artist at whatever you attempt. It is fun watching you explore your options,

Sandi, i had a friend years ago that played around with scratch art. Like you she was fabulous. She tried to tell me I could do it. We won't really about threw disasters I made lol. Everything you've posted has been fabulous but yes I see where you're learning and making things even more fabulous.
