It’s Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It’s Monday

Postby Othersharon » Mon May 17, 2021 11:04 am

Good morning! At least it’s still morning here for another few minutes! It’s looking like a fairly nice week with highs in the 80’s by the end of the week. Maybe spring/summer is finally arriving. Makes me happy anyway. I spent the afternoon Saturday finally getting the leaves raked and bagged along the driveway and my back and legs are telling me about it! Got the back under control but the muscles in my upper legs are still sore. Tells me how out of shape I am! But it felt good finally getting that project done. I know when I move Lola there’s a bunch of leaves under her but I’ll deal with that then. So today is mowing day. Neighbor did the front the other day so I don’t have to worry about that. Sometimes I do it and sometimes they do it so it works out. Sue, nice windfall for you last week. Nice that your efforts were acknowledged.
I got a call the other day saying a planned electricity outage will happen next Saturday night into Sunday morning so will have to reset clocks the next morning. Something about new equipment installation. And remember to turn off computer too. Just thought of that one! News is on so it’s now officially afternoon and I’ve gotten nothing done yet today other then get dressed! Time to get moving. Have a great day and stay safe.

I probably should have mowed yesterday when I got home. The grass wasn't too bad but we have a week of rain predicted. There have been two tornado warning to the East this morning and it's raining here.

Stinky just came to get me to let her out. That is one pest of a cat. She had started spending a lot of time outside so she got left out when I went camping. I think they all know where the food is outside. When I was in the bathroom she sat in front of the water fountain meowing for me to plug it back in. I always unplug it when I'm gone. There are three bowls of water for them but she likes the fountain the most.

Not much going on today. I started a load of clothes in the washer. I think I got all the clothes out of the camper. My nose finally quit running. Would sure like to know what brought that on.

I need to go get Sugar's medicine at the vet's today or tomorrow. Will probably go after lunch. Anything to keep from cleaning house. lol

Good morning gals!

Still very windy here. We are under a blowing dust warning here today. The Palisades fire in LA is still raging out of control at 1500+ acres. :o Over 1000 people have been evacuated so far. It is located between Santa Monica and Malibu. They have a suspect in custody that they are questioning. Very sad situation. :(

I should do something constructive today. Also want to work on my gourd and maybe get it finished.

Stay safe with those storms, Martha!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good Morning,

A heat wave set in Friday so too hot for fish & chips! It's ending tomorrow and may be some rain this week. Had to break down and turn a/c on. Vent cover still isn't installed. Started cleaning out truck yesterday because I can't find the soap attachment for the pressure washer. I don't think I took it to the kids' when they used it.

Saturday Monica brought the empty moving boxes we have been saving. Asked if I wanted to go with her to the nursery while Alan slept off the effects of his 2nd shot - of course! Ended up taking a ride, visiting a hardware/gift store we hadn't been to in a nearby small town, down the canyon where the river is really rolling! No camera so going to take a ride here in a bit.

Martha, hope the storms stay away!

Good afternoon ladies!

O'Sharon, it's good to hear it's finally warming up in your area. Martha, I hope the storms stay away, too. Anita, I'm looking forward to pictures of your new home. Barbie, you asked a couple questions about our casita. We spend lots of time inside...way more than I ever anticipated. I even prepare meals in here on our one burner counter top induction cooker. We also have a microwave/convection oven mounted under the kitchen cupboards, so preparing a meal is no problem. The walk in shower is huge and that's how we start our day and when we're getting ready to go to bed, we go to the motorhome.

Since today is tax day, we paid Uncle Sam and also paid the last draw on our casita. My sister & bil are coming Wednesday & Thursday in the new Class B motorhome they just bought. I can't wait to see it. They'll be staying at a campground less than a mile from us. Enjoy the rest of your day!

I will lay in bed thinking of all that I need/should do but somehow by the time I exit the bed I've convinced self not to
I was going to go up to the house and take a shower but knew that the tub needed to be cleaned out... it's a plumbing issue quite often stuff back ups into the bathtub not sure why but then it is slow draining so decided that I didn't want to deal with it so finally cleaned out my shower (when I travel that is where the plants (outside plants) get put) and I still needed to clean up after them and heat up water unless I need to do dishes or shower I don't keep the hot water on... this took time as I had to fit it in between reading FB word search and coloring... you know the important stuff
then I took a nap after all the busy work woke up was going to run up to the house and saw I had a text reminding me of a concert the kids were in hmm remind me didn't even know about it... so got up remembered to do the drops and went into the concert... for being a relative small town they really have a good musical department they started out with just string instruments the director said imagine that we have 4 bass... I don't know how many were in that part but lots... then the special part of the choir saw can't recall their name but my granddaughter and grandson were both in it was really surprised to see gs.. didn't expect it at all... then they pretty much finished with the jazz group... really good one kid played three instruments trombone piano and xylophone just an really enjoyable evening ... so tomorrow is my other eye my son in law will be taking me to the appointment he has to shuttle cars one car needs to go to the shop my other dd is in Jackson so her car isn't available and we need one... we are taking my dd's car as sil is going to get the oil changed ect while I am at the clinic so he is running the kids into school come home take my truck into town so granddaughter can come home she is a senior and gets out of school early and then will bring home his wifes car so we can go to Idaho Falls gd isn't looking forward to driving the truck... :? sure wish my other daughter had been home but guess she had to work at the bank tomorrow had to today ... or think she would be here so that was my day didn't accomplish much but it was an enjoyable day...
