Ho Hum Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Ho Hum Monday

Postby Shirlv » Mon May 03, 2021 9:03 am

Morning All, overcast morning with showers and t-storms predicted. That is also the weather for the next two weeks. Had a quiet weekend, a very quiet weekend. Lol. My printer died so have been on line researching. Printer cartridges will send you to the poor house. I have had some luck chatting on line with companies so think I will do that today. Getting answers to several printer questions will help me decide. Between the weather and the virus we have our challenges. Be safe

Shirl, I know what you mean about the cost of printer ink. I saw one advertised that you could just fill the ink instead of the cartridges. Of course I don't remember what brand it was. I think they should just give you a printer because the ink costs so much.

I am still drinking coffee when I should be getting dressed. I have to leave here at least by 11:00 to get to Lafayette on time. The wind is blowing hard enough that I can hear it. About the time it stops blowing from the West it will be hurricane season and it will be coming from the South.

The cheap printer I brought in the rv with me, luckily was one that never had ink dry up, etc. The day finally came to replace it. Oh my, the new printer needed a new, expensive ink cartridge every time I got it out. After a couple times I threw it out, I was so frustrated. I started finding libraries when I needed something printed. Way cheaper for me. And lots of rv offices will print something if I need it, sometimes free, sometimes very inexpensively. One less headache to carry around. Good luck, Shirl.

Time to get myself moving if I want to take a ride today.

Good morning gals!

Got up and went to get my 2nd shot this morning. So far, so good, but it has only been an hour, so we'll see. I read that a lot of the side-affects are actually brought on by anxiety about getting the shot. Not sure I believe that tho.

Am prepared to hunker down here for a few days if needed. I woke up with more pain in my shoulder again. Am thinking my sleep position or pillow might be not helping. I have another pillow to try and will try to stay on my back while sleeping, but I can't help what I do in my sleep!

Windy again today but not nearly as bad as yesterday. That was wicked!!

Spooky showed up this morning! Haven't seen him for a couple weeks. I heard him meowing under my car when I was leaving so I filled up the bowl and he came to the steps. He hissed at me! Was glad to see him tho!

Have a good day!

I wanted a printer so I could print from computer, phone or iPad that Chris and I could both access. Mel said, your printer still works, even though it meant when he wanted to print something, we had to send it to my laptop, open it there and get it to print. First purchase I made after Mel died was a nice moderately priced bluetooth connected Epson, that came with a set of bottles to refill cartridges. It has worked well for us.
Breezy warm day here. I have PT and Curves as is my usual.
Barbie, I sure hope you get that shoulder problem figured out.

Good morning,

I have a laser printer for printing genealogy reports - works great if you don't care about printing in color. I've had it for quite sometime. Like Beth, I got tired of cartridges drying up and put that printer out for free in a RV park. The toner cartridge for the laser lasts forever. Velda, I do like the bluetooth idea.

We keep getting periods of wind here, but it's nice otherwise. Our area is predicted to be abnormally dry, but there will be drought throughout parts of the state.

Be well -

I was going to dump my tanks this morning and refill with water, but it is literally freezing outside and raining/snowing, so no way!!! The campground at Bluewater Lake in NM is at 7,500' so no wonder we are getting hail or snow, and now it is beginning to build up on the ground. Plus it is thundering! Will have to take a photo as soon as I can.

I also threw a printer away about four years ago. Now I am back to my old standby of Canon. I keep it in a plastic bag, inside its box, and under my rear dinette. Pain in the neck to get it out, but at least the ink has not dried up--ever.

Sounds like a typical cat, Barbie, hissing and meowing at the same time!

Anita, I gave away my wonderful laser printer when I went on the road. If I should ever buy another, I'm pretty sure that's the way I'd go.

Stay warm, Judy. That's a nice park.

I have a hate/hate relationship with printers! I have a "new" one now that I have had for about 3 years but have only been able to use it to copy. Can't seem to get my laptop to recognize it and connect to it at all, so it just sits. I have always had trouble with printers and consider them disposable. Cheaper to buy a new one than to buy the ink cartridges.

Took a nap for a few hours. I am feeling tired, woozy, and have a headache. My arm is getting more sore as well. I guess that is all pretty normal from what I have heard. I would like to take some Tylenol but heard that can affect the effectiveness of the vaccine. I may have to give in soon if this gets worse.

Lola is being my nurse cat and laying on the pillow next to me. :D

Turned into an interesting day. Received a letter from the Board of Elections addressed to my family at this address. It said they had been notified that I died and they wanted the date. With all the mess going on about elections I was upset/irritated . Called them and informed them I was very much alive. They ask my middle name, called me back and said it was someone else with the same name. Will be interesting to see if the mistake is corrected. Hate not trusting people.

Shirl, glad to know you are still with us!

I got a voicemail from my doctors office that I was approved by my insurance to see an orthopedic specialist. Huh? I will have to call back tomorrow to find out what that is for. They must have found something on the MRI. Would be nice to have that information first.

Don't you like to be the last to know Barbie?
when I had the 5th wheel washed I was getting ready to throw away a printer... gave it to the crew that washed the trailer... was just going to leave it by the dumpster's things usually get picked up pretty quickly there... Larry was always the one that used the printer and I could plug it into the laptop and print but quit doing it so that one went bye bye sister in law gave me one that I never could figure out it was a wireless one it's the one the washers got... will see if I ever replace it...
spent the day doing nothing at mom's other than I took a shower and cleaned sorta the bathroom and took out the bathroom garbage...
now we are in Lander hoping that I can remember all that they told me... we will see...
it was a nice trip over...
so guess that is my itty bitty
