Sunday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday Morning

Postby BirdbyBird » Sun Apr 25, 2021 8:49 am

Sunday Morning in cloudy SW Ohio. Lark, Jane and I are sitting in the RoadTrek with the small heater on to take the chill out of the air. Jane’s ring time isn’t until 1 pm so we have plenty of time to listen to the news on NPR radio and check emails and still get all of Janes remaining 20 hairs brushed out. She won Winner’s Bitch points Friday and her sister took the win yesterday. Yesterday’s win finished Her sister’s Championship so Cindy had me move her up to the Best of Breed Class. Jane still has another sister “Barbie” entered and two other girls entered but it is another day and another judge’s opinion. Janie’s brother Murphy has won Winners Dog both days. These are his first shows. Cindy is showing him for his owners. He is having a good weekend. Actually Cindy is.

Hope everyone is able to find something interesting to engage their energy and couriousity today. Moments of wonder and pondering are always worthy.....

Morning Tina and all who follow. I'm running behind this morning as I have no desire to go out in these winds again today. They were already over 20 mph when I checked at 8 and going up to 30, not talking about gusts, soon. I wish we could get back to low winds in the morning, but that not happening. Oh, well, just working but still.

That's my rant this morning. Guess I best get dressed and walk Ty and go make some beds.

We have great weather this morning, light steady rain 48° with a high of 55°. We definitely need the rain, smells so good outside.

Good day to organize all my paperwork from the fires and instruction manuals for all the new stuff I had to buy. Right now it is all sitting in 2 boxes just thrown in LOL I have finally finished putting that dang file cabinet together. Most frustrating thing I have ever done, nor will I ever do it again LOL

I have some chocolate chip cookie dough in the fridge that I really need to use up. Besides it is taking up room so think I will make a few bathches of cookies and then freeze them. Give some to my neighbor as he loves cookies, well anything sweet actually. They can cook while I am sorting and filing.

Sheila I eventually want raised beds BUT first I want to see what the deer situation is here. They tell me we have deer but I havent seen any yet but if they eat my tomato plants I will be frequenting the farmers market ha ha I have a fence company coming out to give me an estimate on 4ft (that is as tall as we can have it) chain link fence for my back yard. Right now I have a 2ft tall Xpen I am using for a fence on both sides of my back yard. Luckily I have a dog that doesnt even try to get out or climb over. My neighbor laughed and said that wont keep the deer out LOL duh. Even the 4ft wont but I need it fenced properly so I dont look too country. I bought 2 large tubs yesterday to plant a tomato plant in each one ya know just in case there really are deer ha ha I can put them out of harms way. (in my mind).

Tina, my phone says today is your birthday. Happy Birthday and hope you and the girls have a good day.

Karen, today must be the day to do filing. I started out digging on my desk looking for a vet invoice to see when I bought Sugar's flea treatment. I didn't write on my calendar when I gave it to her last month. Decided to file some of the papers to get them off my desk. I have a ring binder with manuals that I need to go through and throw the ones I no longer have. Then I could file the ones on my desk. I would like to fence the back yard but I'm afraid to find out how much it would cost. I used some fence panels to make a small yard so I could just let Sugar out the back door. I'm sure she would like to have room to run. I can't turn her lose because the first thing she does is go to the neighbors. I'm not sure how traffic smart she is either. My neighbors told me yesterday that the guy that lives on past us got his car taken away because he couldn't see. I have seen him do some crazy things and he drove fast too. If I saw him coming when I was walking I would get in the ditch. I hope he stays off the road.

The last time I went to Lowe's I bought a pack of Catnip seeds. I think I'll drag one of the old feed tubs up on the carport and plant them if I can find some wire to put over the tub to keep the cats out. Last year I had planted some in a pot and the cats would eat it as fast as it came up.

Beth, I hate to hear you are having bad wind. It will probably be here in a couple of days. The weather is nice today. It's warming up again and will probably be 80 this afternoon. It's already noon and I haven't even started lunch. I didn't eat breakfast until about 10:00 so I'm not hungry.

Supposed to be wet out, but so far not, though clouds blocking sun. I did reverse filing this weekend! That's what I call going through each piece of paper (in Mel's file drawers), and shredding what needs to go! I also cleaned one end of hus closet and got rid of a 12 by 24 box of books. Church is on, I'll head there on zoom. Have a good day.

Good morning gals!

Our wind just comes and goes. It gets super gusty for awhile and then calms way down and back and forth. So crazy!

Happy birthday Tina! Hope you have a great day!

Just finished watching two church services (last week and todays) and need to use that inspiration to get up and get some things done around here. I have been giving Lola a little bit of canned food and now she had diarrhea all night so no more of that. She throws up when she has diarrhea so I have a double mess to deal with. Luckily, my bathroom issues have gone away.

Saw the white kitty out on the deck early this morning eating, and he looks better so am happy to see that.

Have a good day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Young Jane got both of us a wonderful present. She won a Best of Breed from the classes including winning over three Specials (one of which was her sister that just moved up yesterday after finishing her championship). This gives Jane another Major and a total of 11 of her 15 points that she needs for her Championship.

Good afternoon -

Tina, Happy Birthday and glad you are having a good weekend doing something you enjoy so much!

Sky is blue but rain predicted and not very warm. Kids have been to Lowe's for plants, potting soil, etc. so will probably go over later. New dinnerware arrived and I want to check it out in case there was breakage. Yesterday was just rainy and gloomy.

Sheila, I have gone over Beartooth Pass at least twice - seem to remember there was one more time. In 2017 I rode the Sling from Kansas to Washington and got caught in a bit of snow at the pass - it was June. Giggled the whole time. The Chief Joseph Hwy is amazing as well.

Martha, my aunt's farm cats are not always friendly, but they sure know to wait at the back door for feeding time. She usually manages to get a couple that she can pet. Quite often the population diminishes due to coyotes. Barbie, you need to take care of that shoulder for sure.

Chores to do. I notice we haven't heard from Peggy in awhile.

Enjoy!

I just realized my rig isn't rocking and rolling. Winds are down to 15 mph. But they are heading right back up and this is the lowest they'll be until about 7 pm tomorrow night. Crazy. And it never takes in account the gusts. Poor Ty isn't getting as good of walks as he deserves, but getting longer ones than I can handle lol

Busy weekend here. I only did some rooms today and saved some to do with tomorrow's check outs. Why over do if I don't have to? Then I have a feeling I'll have a few slow days. Maybe I'll take two off. But if there's only one room, I don't mind working a 6th day. My longest day so far was, I think, 4 1/2 hours. I'm hoping to keep it that way. Probably won't happen when we get busy every day, but I can hope. I can always take 2 days off and probably will when that happens.
