Mornin' ladies~~~

It's World Creativity and Innovation Day, which seems appropriate after seeing Sandi's lilovely paintings.

Got my first vaccine shot yesterday. woohoo! Arm is sore but not more than any other shot. I had a friends watch Punkin in case I had a reaction. Knew I'd be more worried about him being stuck in the camper. He loves his Auntie Kimm. She gives treats  her dog Luna was sure excited to see Punk again too.

Of to a doctor appointment today.

That's it from me. Have a good day ladies.

Getting ready to head off to Krogers to gather up supplies for the RoadTrek to last me through the dog show this week end. Since it snowed last night and temperatures went down to 33. I am not looking forward to Thursday night with frost warnings. I might as well learn as much as I can about the comforts of the rig during these short outings as I can. I do plan on paying for electric at the fairgrounds.

I had an interesting conversation when I went for my acupuncture appointment yesterday. The elderly Chinese gentleman that I had found and like (previous to the pandemic) had told me that his son was finishing up his studies in Columbus and was joining him in the practice. I actually did get to meet the younger during one of my last visits about two years ago. Anyway, they were both providing acupuncture services from the home of the elder. The elder did actually close down for several months and has now retired. The interesting part of my conversation yesterday was that Dr Jiang is also an experience register Pharmacist, so when I was sharing my discussion/frustration regarding medications that I was having with my nurse practitioner, he would respond with his insight as to how effective he felt certain medications really were or weren't for given issues. He also would like to figure out why my head aches haven't responded to acupuncture treatment over the years...Yes, well so would I.....

Good Morning, I drove my car yesterday. Have to keep track of days I drive it. Don’t want it to sit too long and battery die. Bought gas, $3.69 per gallon. Went to favorite place to get shrimp quasidia. I’m sure that’s spelt wrong. But, they are so good.
It is nice seeing Cheryl and Tina posting.
We had a little shower here this morning. Not enough to do any good.
Catherine, check your private message.
We have several plants on our balcony. The daughter takes care of them. Glad we don’t have to move them in and out. Much too heavy.
I wear a mask when required...however, don’t believe they stop virus.

Tina, hope he can figure out your headaches. Acupuncture would probably be better than pills. I won't take much besides aspirin and I try not to take it too often. Have fun at the dog show and hope it doesn't get too cold. It cooled off here last night and is still in the 50's. Good sleeping weather.

My dentist appointment went well. No problems. It's so nice to talk to people that knew Harold. Harold's best friend goes to the same dentist so I ask about him. They said he was asking about me so I called him this morning. I use to go see him before the covid mess but now I don't want to go to anyone's house or have people coming to my house.

I need to go to the bank and see if I can get Harold's name off an account with the paperwork I have. I don't know what's going on with the estate lawyer. I'm not getting much guidance handling things. I hate to call him because it costs me money every time I call. It took forever to find someone to do the land appraisal and then the courts were closed. Surely the courts are back open by now.

I eat oatmeal almost every morning and was buying the small container of oats. They didn't seem to last long so I bought the big container last time. This morning I was taking it out of the cabinet and dropped it. Oats spilled all over the counter and floor. Guess I need to make room for it on the counter. I think next time I'll just buy two small containers at at time so I can hold them.

Since I do so much mowing I decided I should get some ear protection to save my hearing. If the wind ever dies down I need to mix up some more spray and spray the areas I can't mow. The last thing I sprayed with didn't kill much. I couldn't read the label so probably didn't mix it strong enough.

Lyn, good to see you post. You reminded me that I need to start the Mazda. When we decided to move it back here it took a long time to charge the battery so it would start. I bet it's dead again. I would like to go eat mexican food. I'll have to tell the lady that sets up our Meetup Meals to include a Mexican Restaurant. I would like to eat boiled crawfish again before the season ends.

Good morning gals!

Opened the windows last night for a nice cross breeze but by 4:30 am it was like a hurricane out there and the noise was so loud I had to close the windows so I could get back to sleep!

I did have a hard time getting comfortable all night due to my shoulder pain. I think I need to see a doctor again about it. The pain is now spread across my collar bone and into the back of my shoulder and also my elbow, and is affecting my haircutting. I am thinking it is worse now because I have been working over 30 hours per week and we have been so busy that I rarely get a break all day. Too much work! I think I need to get a dr note saying I need to get back to only part-time hours like before. And probably get back to therapy for awhile. I will call my dr after I finish this.

I can hear things crashing outside all over. Some of it is palm fronds hitting the roof and golf cart, but other noises sound heavier. Probably neighbors stuff blowing around. Not a good day to be outside! :o

Have a good day! :D

Oh, Barbie, I think you sent that wind east. It's terrible and looks like it will be for possibly several days. It was such a nice respite yesterday! I think Ty and I are going to take a ride into Bryce Canyon. If the winds bother the car, we'll turn around. But usually the car is much better with them. This will just be a checking it and viewpoints out. If I have to hike with the summer crowds to be without the spring winds, that's what will happen.

Been busy this morning, no wind here. Nice sunny day outside. Worked for a bit in the yard but then got hot, so sorted out some stuff in my storage unit, I have lots for the trash. Straightened up my 3rd bedroom, aka storage room. Not so much anymore it is looking much better. Setting it up to be my office (Like I need an office LOL). It is a nice sunny room in there in the morning tho so who knows I might spend more time there eventually.

Ran the robot vacuum, got a load of laundry in, and ribs in the crockpot. I think I am done now for the day. Wore myself and my motivation out. I usually am done after lunch unless I have some special chore I want to get done but that isnt too often. Going to throw some cookies in the oven when I am done browning my ribs. I have a small tub of cookie dough I really should start using so guess today is the day.

Just got home from Urgent Care since my doctors office couldn't get me in. This doctor wants me to get an MRI to really see what is going on. He wrote a couple of prescriptions, one for 5 days of prednisone and also a stronger pain reliever than Ibuprofin. And also recommended to cut back on work hours. I am taking tomorrow off as well to rest it a bit more. I called my primary dr back and have an appointment tomorrow afternoon. I need to see her before she will order and MRI. Hopefully I can get a note from her about work hours. I did already let my manager know about that too.

Need to head over to WM to get the prescriptions filled. The wind is still ferocious! Just going to and from my car, I feel the dust in my eyes and grit in my mouth! Lots of dust in the air and can barely see the mountains. Luckily, not real hot out but too dusty to have the windows open.

I guess dishes and laundry are off the list again... but lunch is definitely needed here since my stomach is growling!

Barbie, you are having a really bad time, and your job requires standing and using your arms and shoulders! i can't imagine standing as long as you do. I hate to say it, but have you considered a slightly different career--like doing nails or something? I am serious. Maybe something where you can sit most of the time? I look at hair dressers and people like cashiers or retail sales who are on their feet all the time, and I can't imagine how they do it. I think it is OK for young people, but at a certain age, it has to be very painful. What about some sort of brace or something to help your back?

Drove 200 miles today from Farmington, NM, where I took a tour of Chaco Canyon yesterday to Los Alamos. I tried to get into the camping area near the White Rock visitor center but it was full, so ended up in Bandelier National Monument dry camping. I think it is better this way anyway because it is lovely here and only $6 per night. I need a couple of quiet days to relax from all my walking and driving. I have strong batteries and a generator, so it will be fine, other than missing my TV!! I am going to just stay in my site tomorrow and try to get some class stuff done.

Cooking some country ribs and just finished making my barbecue sauce. I don't like the store-bought stuff, and mine is tangier and a little hotter.

Judy watch tv while the generator is running... I used to watch an hour then turn on the generator for two and watched while it was running
Barbie are the dishes because of your arm/shoulder? my arm has been hurting in one spot assuming that it's the pillow as I sleep on that arm/side is it possible that your pillow is aggravating the issue?
I made it to Tetonia got here around 5 I guess timed it just right as son in law was home... we got the trailer set up mostly level got the buddy hooked up then we decided to run over to Jackson my two dd's had gone over as my mom was there for a night so we ran over as well had supper visited a bit and came home .... my sister in law sent a long text explaining some of the things that they see with mom and some of the things that they do ... I asked mom what she was doing to keep occupied she mentioned the PT coming three times a week and they have her walk from one point in the house to another 14 times yes 14 times it's a big area my brother was estimating that she is walking 1 mile a day heavens she is 94 and one of the issues they have is that she sleeps a lot... ok old people tend to sleep a lot and if she is walking that far in a day no wonder she is sleeping a lot... and it seems to be a deep sleep... then she is up walking around at night and getting snacks... probably sleeps to much... my brother was saying that she was alert all the way over no sleeping at all... but she is seeing something besides the tv and the same 3 people... I get that taking a drive with my niece might be hard but maybe that would be something to try to do I will need to remember and try to get her out of the house occasionally ... but she gets tired and making the effort to go anywhere is some times more than she wants to do... it will be interesting...
they need to take niece to SLC for her monthly visit first week in May so dd said she would go over I imagine that I will go with her as well just will need to remember those dates and not make appointment that would interfere.
mentioned that I hooked up the buddy it ran perhaps 15 mins and ran out of propane sure wish that I had taken and filled it the other day while I was waiting for my son in law to come help hook up the 5th wheel... but you know what is said about hind site???  and it's going to be cold tonight very cold at least though no winds to speak of...
when I got up the morning we had winds got permission to wait till 12 before leaving to see if the winds would die down as they were suppose to suppose to go from 14 to 12  but 2 mph is better right???
I am so tired mom lives about an hour away that on top of traveling from Ogden to here....
as I was approaching Blackfoot saw a plume of smoke it's amazing how things appear would have sworn that it was south of Blackfoot I watched it as I headed North it was always ahead of me and finally stopped to go potty at a rest area and it was actually worse and finally south of me... it's called the Lava fire I think my son in law sent me a text about it need to still read it ... at this time of the year wasn't sure if it was a burn as in fire or burn as in control burn some farmers do that
guess it's the real McCoy
you all take care

I was supposed to do a haircut and bang trim on my friends Dave and Debbie today. I told them I can do the bang trim but not the haircut so that is all I did.

Judy, my feet, legs and back I generally don't have a problem with (occasional lower back pain tho). It is mostly my arms and shoulders that take the brunt of my work. I could do nails except I am very sensitive to the chemicals in the polish and artificial nails so I can't be around that. I used to do accounting and data entry but it has been so long and things have changed a lot with computers, etc, and I did have issues with carpel tunnel from the data entry. (And I wasn't very good at accounting stuff anyways)

Once things slow down for the summer, I will do better when I can have breaks in between haircuts. It is just the constant cutting for 4 hours straight before lunch and another 4 hours after lunch. Even when I was younger, that was hard on me. But I do really love what I do and want to keep doing it as long as I can. I have been thru this shoulder issue before (twice) and got thru it with time and pain relief so hopefully can do it again. Just need to know my limits and stick with them. I have just agreed to do more hours to help with the staffing shortage and Covid situation, but am paying the price for it now. Time to step back again to a comfortable amount of hours and haircuts.

Maybe I will do my taxes tomorrow since that will be easy on my shoulder.

PS> Sheila, the dishes are there because I am lazy and hate doing dishes by hand. I really need to get a new dishwasher in here! I can't sleep on my left side anymore because of that shoulder. If I sleep on my right side, I have my stuffed animal under my left arm to keep it at a comfortable level. But I am trying to sleep on my back now as much as I can. I have a low comfy pillow that seems to be working good for my neck.
