Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Morning All, waiting for Walmart’s pickup email. Suppose to be 66° and sunny so porch friend and I are taking a road trip to Godfreys Farm Market this afternoon. They have just started cutting asparagus so it doesn’t get any fresher than that. Lol. Homemade salsa, ice cream, fresh baked scones and apple pie. Friday went to three stores trying to find small gardening gloves with no luck. Read Sandi’s post this morning and thought about all the women gardening with the small gloves. Women certainly are resilient during hard times. Be safe

Good afternoon Shirl & everyone!

Shirl, I love the pictures of your garden! The salad you made looks delicious!

We've had rain for the better part of yesterday and again today but starting tomorrow it will be sunny and warmer. We're in the planning stages for the Blessing for our casita, scheduled May 2 immediately after Mass. Since we live an hour from church (that's only if the traffic is perfect on I-75S), I expect whoever is coming to arrive between 12;30 and 1:00. Following the Blessing, we'll put a spread out to feed everyone. I'll try to post pictures when it's said and done!

I never did feel like I could do anything with gloves on. I can remember when my aunt had a business in downtown Dallas and would wear a hat, gloves and high heels to work. At some point she started wearing slacks but I don't think she ever owned a pair of jeans.

I need to pull the grass and weeds out of the rose bed while the ground is still wet but I'm really leery of putting my hands in the grass. I had a friend get bit by a copperhead snake working in her flowers. One good thing about having the cats, I don't see many snakes. I put out the grass seed and fertilizer in the yard. I hope some of it grows because there are places that look like there is nothing but stickers. There are vines growing in a couple of trees that I need to cut. Hopefully they aren't poison ivy. I should probably wear gloves to do that.

My dentist appointment is this afternoon. It seems like there was something else I wanted to do in Lafayette but don't remember what. I'm sure it will come to me when I get home.

Good afternoon. Been busy today trying to put a file cabinet together.........I finally gave up, thinking it might be firewood LOL Sometimes you just have to walk away and after 3 hours I was ready to do that. I may or may not go back to it LOL I was handicapped to start with as they sent the file cabinet but no instructions. So they finally emailed me some of the worst instructions I have ever read. I have it all together except for the slides, I may have to hit up Youtube to see just how those work.....or not. The other problem was they had several bags of screws but they werent labeled at all, but in the instructions the screws and parts all had numbers or letters. Those fools never even labeled all the wooden parts. I just went by guessing. Very frustrating. Thank goodness I bought a super nice file cabinet on our local Marketplace for $25. Paid $65 for this one but think I wasted my money. Well it is real nice ...but if I cant get it to work out it goes. OK enough whining for now.

Going to make a Caramel Mocha and rest my tired back and feet.

Edited for a suggestion for Shirl. I bought a box of rubber gloves and I use those when I garden. They work great and I just peel em off and toss em. I can grip most anything with them and play in the dirt.

Oh, Karen, how frustrating. Leave a review and see if you can get a refund. That stinks.

Nothing exciting or newsworthy here. My biggest dilemma today was deciding what to fix for dinner. Tomorrow will be deciding whether to work for an hour or so or to save that project for another day. Decisions decisions lol
