Saturday with sun

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday with sun

Morning All, really sleeping long and sound. All the walking to take care of the raised bed does a body good. Lol. Finally had the strawberry spinach salad last night. I left early yesterday to get strawberries and rode past a local garden center. Correction, I tried to ride by but the Forrester just turned into their parking lot. So off to the garden bed to plant pepper plants and Marigolds. It would be less expensive if I started seeds but do not have the space in the apartment. Might visit my grandson and see if I can swipe some of his plants. Hanging at home to do laundry and other boring chores today. Be safe

Good Morning,

Beautiful here with a couple days in the 80s. Project today is to install new battery in the Sling.

Shirl, the furniture store I went to yesterday has a garden store next door. I watched a lot of beautiful plants being carried to the parking lot.

Sheila, glad you have had family time.

The furniture store was a bust. I came home and got online. Things I have picked so far are available so fingers crossed. I stopped at Office Depot and found a desk I like. Found one I like better, but I came home and read reviews - won't be getting that one. :) Two stores was my limit.

Sorry to see so many reports of Covid cases. Be safe!

It's a sunny day here in northern california , headed into 80's. Clear blue skies for most part. Ongoing sort and toss projects hopefully will have progress. My neck is sore from PT, so need to find my heating pad. Might even get some stamping done.
Have a beautiful weekend.

Good morning gals!
Been busy working the past few days. Not sure what brought it on, but my left shoulder has been really painful and has also affected my elbow as well. My right shoulder as been bothering me now too. Haven't done anything different. I have a lot to do around here at home today but I think I will just limit it to things that don't involve lifting or moving my arms much. Will skip laundry for another couple days.

Saw a new cat on the deck last night. Black with just white paws and white bib. He and the orange cat were having an argument on the deck.

Someone here at the park had a used dishwasher for free. I was working and didn't have a chance to check it out and someone else got it before me. Darn!

Karen, as for hard clay, my old house had clay and when I tried to level out part of the side yard to put down artifical grass, it was all but impossible to do anything with it. I even hired a guy to level it for me and he used pick axes, shovels, etc and still couldn't penetrate the clay much. So I just put down the grass on uneven ground. Clay is like concrete when it has been compressed and covered for so long (and yet weeds seem to have no problem growing up thru it! )

Tina, glad your life is getting back to somewhat normal now. Glad you are back to showing your dogs!

Beth, your weather sounds very unpredictable there. Hope it warms up some for you but not get hot too quickly.

Sheila, sounds like you are getting a lot of family time in. Hope the winds calm down for the rest of your trip north. It is calmer here today.

Lots of gardening happening with the rest of you now with spring here. It is all I can do to keep my hibiscus alive now. Might have to make room for them inside the house for the summer.

Have a good day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good afternoon all. I have spent the morning doing home chores. First I managed to put my new power washer together....thank goodness for Youtube. It did have pretty good directions but since I am a visual type person it helped just to follow along with the directions while I watched and paused the video. Really wasn't hard just confusing in spots. Then drug out the BIG vacuum instead of the robot as I needed some deep down cleaning. WOW lots of dirt and dog hair geez. I could have made a whole new dog out of all the hair. The robot does a good job but doesn't really get deep down dirt so every few weeks I use the big Shark vacuum. Couldn't just rely on the robot, that I know. Then had to wash the kitchen floor and spiff the bathrooms. Then went outside and was picking up my dead weeds that I sprayed and the remnant wood pieces that the folks that took away the dumb railroad ties left. Which I didn't care as I got rid of those stupid things. OMG it got hot fast out there, so will finish another day. Summer is teasing us this week but we will be lower temps and cloudy a few days next week so then I will return to yard work LOL Our high is supposed to be 90° record breaking temp (record was 89) and then 89° tomorrow then back into the upper 70's So will just keep my happy little butt to inside chores.

A credit union here is having a free shredding event so will try and wander over there with income tax papers from a long time ago. Found them buried in my storage unit.

Lunch time then off to town, might even pick up blended beverage.

I love how the Forester turned on it's own, Shirl. You have it well trained.

I got laundry done today. Without saying how many pairs of underwear, it's been a long time lol Nice to have enough to not worry. I still have to remake my bed.

Looking at the weather it appears that next weekend I might be able to hook up to water without worrying about it freezing. Might. I'll fill my tank again tomorrow. And sometime this week I'll take the rv for propane. I'm waiting while carefully watching my propane level because if temps stay above freezing, I won't need much, if any propane. But better to have than not.

Judy, I use a brush to turn on my fan. Saves me from getting my little step stool. Unfortunately the brush can't open the cover. That requires the stool. I have a friend 6' 10 1/2". I'd much rather be short than his height. He has scars on his head. And can't drive lots of cars. Funny thing is he can manage in some little cars easier than many sedans. And in many he has to drive with his left knee out the drivers side window, no matter the weather. When we gtg it's funny. He ducks under a chandelier at a restaurant and I stand under and jump to try to touch it.

Oh, the joys of clay! I had a house and then a condo in an area famous for its clay soil. In fact, the whole township had so much clay that we had three hazardous material dumps because the clay prevents nasty stuff from sinking into the water table.

At our house, we had to plant trees and bushes with pick axes. Shovels just would not do it. But one infamous weekend, one of our neighbors was trying to get through the clay and some tree roots to plant a big tree. He was using a shovel and had managed to get a fairly good sized hole dug, but there was a tree root in his way. He put all his weight behind the shovel to get through the tree root. Except, it was not really a tree root--it was the main underground electrical line for the entire subdivision. The explosion threw him and the shovel out of the big hole he had been digging, and the rest of us were without power for several hours!!! He was very lucky he was not electrocuted.

I went to two museums today--the Indian Pueblo Cultural Museum and the National Museum of Nuclear Science. Am worn out but decided to hit them both so I could stay home and relax tomorrow.

I needed to return something to Lowe's so went to town again while I could still find what I wanted to return and the receipt. Went to Walmart too. I don't know what's going on with Walmart but they have some of the aisles so jam packed with stuff that needs to be put on shelves you can't get down them. I wanted something on one aisle but I was afraid the boxes would fall on me.

I got some potting soil to plant the caladium bulbs. I'll see if they come up and what they look like. Then maybe plant them in the ground somewhere. Lowe's had some Bougainvilleas in hanging baskets but they were pretty sad looking. I'm use to the ones we get at the nursery when we go to the Nursery Festival.

Anita, I try to check the reviews on a lot of things I think I want. Bad reviews save me money. I saw a portable, rechargeable blender on Facebook and though that would be good for the camper. The reviews said it was useless.

We were suppose to get more rain but didn't get much. The other day several people posted pictures of hail that fell not too far from here. Glad it missed me. It has cooled of into the 50's so had to turn the heat back on. One day it's air conditioning and the next it's heat. Or both in the same day.

I dug out an old game camera and messed with it for a long time but never could get it to work. I don't have the computer that had the program I need to view the memory card. I have the disc but don't have a computer that will play it. I use to set it up on the carport or in the barn to see what was coming around.

I think those game camera's would be fun to use...
it turned out to be a nice day although have to have heat on... but the sun was shining spent some time with family
dd (my eldest) told me last night that we would be able to spend a lot of time together today that she would pick me up at 1:00 mmm ok so that time came and went not sure what time she called but later much later mom can we use the truck to take some stuff to the land fill ??? sure however there is a lot of stuff in the back of the truck oh we will take it out and put it back in...can you come over soon? sure as soon as I finish what I am doing (I'd gotten tired of waiting) went over decided that only the loose wood and shovel needed to come out in went some boxes and tree limbs they waited in line for 1 hour to get rid of the boxes the limbs went to green waste much quicker they came back and by now it's after 6 and she needs to take one of the granddaughter's to SLC to spend the night with a friend... so it was suggested that I take the truck home and they will pick me up on way back that way I don't have to drive after dark so came home and did my crocheting got done with it when my sil text saying he was on his way over... back to their house for supper think we finished around 9:30 or so one thing that we did was go to a art/yard sale it had 50 vendor's in this yard well placed that you could wonder around and see and purchase if you desired found a gargoyle my youngest loves them so got a small one for her and some brownies for me... oh and reuseable water balloons think they are made out of a type of yarn that I can't remember the name of it soaks up the water so you use them instead of balloons better for clean up and for the environment.
spent more than I planned on but that is the way it goes...
need to go put the pee pads out better and read a bit and go to bed
you all have a good day
