Morning. Sorry for the Day mix up yesterday , but now we are on the right day This week has been very busy for me. A lot going on. Monday with doc appt., then off to get second shot, grocery shopping and errands. Yesterday I went to car dealer and had a replacement step pad put on my trucks assist steps, as one came off somehow over late winter. Fast run to Walmart and home. Got a call from carpet place that thry could come out this morning and install new carpet , so moved stuff out of my living room, have couple things to no Pve this morning, like the chair I8: sitting in right now, Thty will be here around 9.
Thanks for your kind words of encouragement regarding my eye situation. One of those difficult things life throws at us. And yes Peggy, you are right about camping etc. there are other ways. As to trailer towing and backing up, I’ve never has a problem with backing up. Practice makes perfect as They say and over the years I have done enough of it, backing into campsites. But I’ve also been thinking over past year or so about getting tired of towing. Think it’s because I spend more time just driving without anything back there, that I love the freedom of it. P,lus, like Karen said, campgrounds are getting more crowded and harder to get into and I don’t like having to make reservations months ahead, other than if it’s trip where I’m traveling multiple places and want the security of knowing my next stop is waiting for me. I’m getting content here at home and taking those little day trips too. When it boils down to it, I live in an area where people come to vacation. This county has 80 lakes and the headwaters of 5 rivers. I have 8 lakes within @about 3 miles of my house including the small on across the road in this subdivision. Great places to kayak. I have enough miles of trails and roads to walk on and a stretch of the Iron Bell trail, a bike/hiking trail running from Detroit to Ironwood in the far western Upper Peninsula, right across the highway over here. With interconnecting trails branching out to east and west. It will be, once totally complete, over 2,000 miles, the longest contingent bike/hike trail in the U.S. plus Lake Huron and Lake Michigan are an hour to hour and a half drive East and west from here, an tge U.P. An hour to the north. Plenty to let one keep busy enjoying the outdoors.
Gotta get moving here. Things to move and need to get dressed for the day. Have a good one all.
