Okay, adding my 2 cents here.....we enjoyed the TX coast line last winter, but found a little jewel on the Fl Gulf Coast where we just might spend next April after our duties as camphosts in GA....It's called Cedar Key, FL....north of Tampa and a little north of the Crystal River area....nice CG there called Rainbow Country Campground with reasonable monthly rates...I believe you can find in on the Woodall site...that's where I found it....the cg is about 5 miles inland from the key and loads of shopping, fishing, etc....a small beach, but it's within driving, no doubt, to a larger beach area....nice folks, too.....You also might want to check out the GA coast line, too....okay, I'm done... ;)

Lori Cedar Key is only about 50 miles west of where I live. So if you do stay in Cedar Key give me a shout. Liz is also very close to Cedar Key. Barbzee is also not that far away, maybe a mini gathering? Let me know if that is where you will stay this winter.

We went to Cedar Key on our way out of FL at the end of April. Enjoyed it. Would make a nice place to spend a month or so. carold
