Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Morning All, another early morning but at least it was light. Yesterday’s temp was so warm I turned the heat off. The wind didn’t amount to much so was grateful. Nothing special planned for today. Looking forward to next week. Porch friend and I are going shopping and lunch, together in the same car. :o Be safe

Morning Shirl and all. Nice to see everybody’s making asome plans to do various travels, cruises etc. seems like some state of normalcy returning. Get my second shot a week from Monday, so by the the middle of next month I should be all set. I did go visit with my Snowbird neighbors that have returned the other day though, as they both have had their shots and I have had my first one so we feel it’s safe enough to get together. I just kind of social distance a little bit, thats all.

I have never had a desire to travel anywhere overseas or to take a cruise but I think it would kind of be fun to take a paddle wheeler cruise down the Mississippi river. It’s kind of something I have wanted to do, but whether it ever gets off the ground remains to be seen. This year I am going to just stay home here in Michigan, unless something else pops up in the meantime like maybe a GTG someplace. Camping and getting my trailer ready to go, is very much on my mind right now except the weather is not going to allow that for a bit yet and I have upcoming eye surgery down the line here too. But I do have reservations in and I’m planning to go down to amping World one day just to browse and I need to order a new EMS or surge protector, plus take my trailer to the tire guys to have tires rotated and the spare put on with my other tires, take the odd ball tire I had to buy last year to replace one of mine that got a spike in it, and use that for my spare. Then all the trailer tires will be a matched set. I couldn’t get another one of the same tire because Goodyear was not making that one, on account of the pandemic. Was finally able to get one last fall after trailer was put away for season. I was very lucky that the dealer happened to have a tire the size that my trailer needed last spring, even though it was not the same brand, or I would’ve been grounded for the summer.

Sun is aout this morning but it is going to be short-lived as we are expecting rain later this afternoon and maybe even some snow by morning. Sounds like a mixed bag of everything depending upon where one lives. Typical spring weather and we are going into Easter week. The weather is always notorious for getting lousy around Easter. We’ve had some doozie snowstorms on Easter Sunday in past years.

Nothing doing today other than working on my wood crafts. For some reason I’m, having trouble getting a couple to come out right, so am going to put Kilz over some of the areas I messed up and start over. I enjoy working on these outside, but it’s too cold to do that now. There’s a difference in the lighting then working under artificial light. Have a nice day everyone

Good morning all. A fairly quiet here today which is fine with me after the wicked wind yesterday. I know it was worst in other parts of the country so for that I’m glad it was only what it was. There were quite a few trees damaged along the Main Street into town but luckily I just have branches littering the driveway and yard. I had a busy day yesterday. Had to drop Rascal off at the groomer then into State Collge for an appointment for inspection and oil change on my car. They found a leak in the oil pan which turns out to be a very expensive job apparently. Luckily I still have a few days left on the power train warranty so it’s covered. Plus I have a loaner for a few days. Unfortunately pets not allowed in it so came home and got Rascal and then made another trip into the dealer. Finally got home about 6! Then I discovered my cable was in and out all evening so must have had some damages somewhere. That took care of tv, house phone and wifi! So got some reading done! Today I need to do some cleanup outside and get to the grocery store. Rain supposed to come in tonight and then rain pretty much all day tomorrow. Glad to hear so many of us finally getting our vaccines. Thursday will be the 2 week mark of my second so supposed to be pretty well protected. Of course I will continue to observe safety guidelines but will certainly feel better about it all. It’s definitely a feeling of relief to have the protection. Sue, I’m anxious to get Lola ready for camping too but know it’s still to early! I tried the portable steps I got in the doorway the other day hoping Rascal would go up and down into the rv with them and he did, He seemed so happy to get inside! He’s been refusing to jump in so it’s a real bonus for us both. Kinda been worried what it would mean for our camping season so was glad to find a compact set of steps that are easy to carry with us. Just unfold and set up! Thank you Chewy and Amazon! I have a shorter fold up set and now this longer one and they store easily. I was looking for something that had a deeper step to accommodate a larger dog and much searching I found these! What we do for our fur babies! Enough rambling for me this morning, I need to get my day going and get something done! Stay safe and have a great day.

Afternoon World! Still slowly working through dog grooming here. I can only do a little bit at a time but it is all more than I was able to do a month ago. Jane has another dog show the first weekend in April and Lark's breeders responded to her email and said that, yes, the mister was still willing to meet with her to review my handling skills and help Lark train me so that I am not the reason she and Audrey lose points.

Listening to Saturday NPR programming and then back to dog grooming. Might even get a trip to a dog friendly store to get some training practice.

Good morning,

I finally got to sleep sometime after 3am. Woke up this morning around 7am still with my open laptop on my belly and my nightstand light on. Went back to sleep until 10am.

Need to get to the things I didn't do yesterday which is pretty much my whole list, since I got nothing done after I got home from my PT appointment and my long nap. My shoulder was still sore early this morning so I put some anti-inflamatory ointment on it and now it feels better.

Good to hear you gals are getting ready for spring with planting and planning trips. Between spring and the vaccine, everyone is feeling more hopeful and excited for the future.

I joined the CA Gourd Society and also the San Diego Gourd Patch group. My county doesn't have a gourd group so I thought San Diego would be the best of the 3 counties near me to join up with. Maybe that will motivate me to finally get my stuff organized and get started again on projects. They have gourd get-togethers for different things throughout the year.

Lola is doing better again. I now feed her a small amount of food several times a day instead of filling her bowl once a day and she is no longer throwing up. Her tummy must not be able to digest it as well if it is too full.

Speaking of food, my tummy is telling me it is empty. I better go find something to eat. Have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Just past noon -- took forever to update my iPhone.

It's a beautiful day - ride or sit outside and read a book? ? Went out to cover the Sling last evening and was surprised at how full this part of the park is! There were a few rigs every weekend during the winter, but obvious Spring is here!

BJ, thanks for the Ireland info. I have been watching the news and know they are far behind. Tour guide says things are beginning to happen and will update us in a couple of weeks.

Sue, I never had a desire for cruise or foreign travel, but I loved it! Sorry I waited so long to do it. BFF and I talked about riverboat on Mississippi, but it is really expensive! Tina, I'm so glad you are doing better and realizing your limits instead of pushing yourself.

Enjoy the day!

My favorite home was along the Mississippi in Wisconsin, until I started RVing. That have me the desire to do the entire river boat trip, but, Anita, yes it's pricy. And I don't want to just do a section. If I ever played the lottery and won, that would be on my list of must dos. In other words, it won't happen lol

Laundry's on the line. The sun is out. But the wind is still here albeit not as bad. But makes it chilly.

I switched to a different protein powder for my smoothies and it's so much better. If I've already mentioned this, sorry. But I'd gotten used to the old. Just goes to show that being used to something doesn't make it the best.

Anne, I agree, you are missed, so get yourself back on here!

The wind has arrived this afternoon. It almost knocked me down trying to get out of the car. I went to Lafayette to bring my son some things. People are out today. The restaurant parking lots are full. I picked up a lunch at Piccadilly and strawberry pie. It's sure hard to not buy two pieces of pie. I thought about stopping at TJ Maxx but there were too many people. It's going to take a while to get use to being around crowds.

I saw something on the way to town that I have never seen before. There were Pelicans in one of the rice fields. I have seen Sea Gulls in the pasture when there was really bad weather but never Pelicans.

I have looked up cruises on the Mississippi. There is so much barge traffic on the river that I don't know that I would want to do that. I have been on two cruises and I feel like a captive on one. All we did was wander around and eat ice cream. The cruise Peggy was talking about sounds interesting.

Barbie, a couple of my cats overeat and throw up. The food comes up looking like it just went down. I wish they were all like Annie and CC. They stay slim all the time. The others eat too much.

The azaleas are blooming all over and makes me want to plant some. There is a tree in front of the house and I might try planting some around it. And maybe along one side of the car port that gets sun. I'm getting like Harold was, I don't want to mow around things.

my daughter sent me a link to a news report... I'd planned on getting vaccine when I got to Idaho so I didn't have to wait the month down here... but according to this report Idaho will only give the vaccine to residents of Idaho...due to lack of vaccine... makes me wonder what I do... according to this the state gets amount of vaccine according to their population so if that is true having it in WY may prove problematic as well as it's population is low... dd suggest that I get it here even if I have to stay to get the second dose if I can do it soon it wouldn't be much later than what I usually leave...so much for my leaving early right??? Guess I ought to talk to my Idaho dd's see what their thoughts are
I get annoyed at myself when I do what I did today which was nothing got my shower in stopped at the beauty solon to see about a pedi so need one made an appt... then to the grocery store and got something for dinner for tomorrow
came home read my scriptures and watched a talk on line and then decided nap time must have thought it was Sunday slept way to long...
it was windy enough this morning that I didn't go get water it's hard controlling hoses ect when not windy when it's windy just makes it much harder... low on water but think I will be ok till Monday and according to phone should be ok can't say that for Tues....
Shadow is up guess I ought to take him outside...
you all have a good day

My friend Ginger arrived in town this weekend. Sadly it's to sell her place. She went east to stay with her daughter and grandchildren during the pandemic and now the decision has been made that she'll make that her permanent home. I'll really miss her when here but we're already talking about her coming to visit for a week or two wherever I land when traveling. Most fun... Ty loves Ginger. I was walking him when she drove in today and she drove past, stopped and Ty was trying to climb in, so she opened the door and he flew into her lap. He wouldn't leave her side until she left and he didn't want her to go. But he's exhausted now.

Sheila, maybe you just weren't meant to leave early. Call and see if you can get a shot right away. I'll tell you it's a great peace of mind to have them.

Picked up my replacement electric heater and a couple of other things today. Also got some printer paper at Walmarts. Not much else since I am being really lazy.

I was lucky enough to take the QE2 from New York to England twice, except once was England to NY. England to NY was best because each day was 25 hours long! (NY to England each day was only 23 hours long.) Had a teeny tiny, windowless single room, which don't exist on very many ships any more. Barely room for a single bed, a dresser, and a place to stand to get dressed, plus a tiny bathroom. Loved the five lazy days on board. Not as expensive as you would think because fee included one-way airfare. We got a late start, so best part was crossing the Atlantic at 30 knots or 34 MPH, and no "cruise" ship can do that now that she is retired from service. New Queen Mary can almost hit that speed, but nothing could beat QE2 for a couple of decades before when the SS United States was retired. Her speed is still a national secret.

And, speaking of cruises, in summer 2019, I was camped at Fort Flagler State Part at the eastern tip of the Olympic Peninsula, overlooking the in Washington. I could watch the ferries leaving Port Townsend and heading across Puget Sound. Well, I kept seeing this big ships heading out every evening, so I got out my binoculars and was able to figure out that they were cruise ships leaving Seattle to go to Alaska!! So, I looked up the ships and found out there were 14-day cruises that went all the way to Anchorage and 7-day cruises that went to Skagway and Glacier Bay. I checked out the prices and found out that if you waited until three weeks before sailing, the prices dropped by 50%. Typical for a double with a porthole was about $599 per person, and a little more for a double with a balcony. Can't remember how you got back because most were one-way, but price was not bad, so I called my friend from New York and asked her if she was game for a cheap Alaskan cruise, and she said yes. But of course, this past summer was COVID, which messed up everything. I like small ships over the big "apartment blocks" as the British call the big ships, and Holland America has one with only 1,200 passengers.

Maybe in a year or two....

Getting my second shot on Wednesday. Yea!!!

I managed to get all my laundry done except the bedding. Haven't put it all away yet tho. Was gonna start on my dishes but decided to work on a gourd project for my friend Debbie who's birthday is tomorrow. It has cat prints all around it. She has two cats. Had to run to Hobby Lobby to get one more thing for it. Finished it just before heading to bed. I will take pics before I bring it over to her.

Do you ever find a dollar or two or even a $5 bill when you do laundry? Well, today I was taking my clothes out of the dryer and picked up what I thought was a $5 bill, but it was actually a $50 bill!! :o Must be from one day last week when I cashed in my tips at work at the end of the day and put the $50 in my pocket . That was a great feeling to find that!

Better get some sleep here. We were supposed to have a staff meeting before work in the morning but that got cancelled so I can sleep in a little longer.
