Afternoon All, back from my second Moderna shot. Too soon to tell how I will feel. Sandi thank you for your gift of spring, beautiful. It’s back to cold weather on the shore. Never did make that chicken soup but on the menu today. No news, not even itty bitty. :D Be safe

Definitely, spring in Ohio. Temperatures are back down to freezing with an added wind chill and sleet spitting at me windshield. On a positive note, I stopped at Krogers on the way back from the chiropractor and managed to walk around the store the short bit without leaning on the cart like a walker. Maybe their is some glimmers of hope. I am not telling Lark yet though because it is to cold outside for me to test it with her on a leash. Someday sooner rather than later, maybe.....

Shirl, just think 11 folks read your greeting and apparently didn't have any itty bitty news to share. May your day be full of the wonder you claim for it. Congratulations!

Morning, Shirl and Tina. Tina, yay, for some returning strength. Mum's the word around Lark! Speaking of walks, it's time to get Ty out for a decent walk before it gets windier. And that's all I've got!

Just me being grumpy, I guess (a couple of successive nights consisting of only 3 1/2 hours sleep each will do that to me).

No offence meant, but I. . . (don't like? Object? Eh, whatever. . .) would prefer a different term than "itty bitty news".

Why? It just kinda grates on me. It just seems so. . . dismissive and apologetic of what is going on in a person's life (even when the term is ascribed to news describing one's self).

By definition (at least to me) if one is courageous enough to post one's inner thoughts, joys and sorrows on a fairly open forum like this one, then, obviously, these kinds of things are not "itty bitty" to the one posting them.

Lord knows, there is enough "opinion" out there in the world that belittles and defaces a woman's viewpoint/opinion - particularly the viewpoint/opinion of older women - without women doing it to themselves.

For the record, I do not find anything I read on here to be "itty-bitty", but instead I find it interesting, informative, community-building and just. . . human.

The postings here make my heart glad.

Thank you.

Good morning, still morning here for a short time. Rained all night, sun out right now but clouds are all around so I suspect we will get more. I see rain or rain showers in our future for the next 10 days. Oh well we can use it. I have plenty of inside projects to do. This morning I hung 2 blinds and have 3 to go but needed a break. Have some laundry to throw in and run the vacuum. That should be enough for today LOL

Salmon on the agenda for tonites dinner. Need to use up some cauliflower so will make a cheese sauce and that should do it. Salad for lunch with shrimp. Guess it is a seafood day.

Good morning, even tho it is almost noon here!

I woke up fairly early but got caught up on yesterdays church service still with the retiring minister. I will really miss him. This morning was an on-line class/talk by the new minister that is taking over, and I was really impressed! Our church is the Center For Spiritual Living and is based on the Law Of Attraction. He is very good at articulating his thoughts and message.

So I am still in bed but I have a lot to do today so I need to get up and get moving. It was terribly windy overnight but has calmed down quite a bit now so I can get outside stuff done before it starts up again.

Lola has been having loose stools again and throwing up almost every day. I need to figure out what is causing that.

Anne, I know what you mean about dismissing our "itty bitty" news. I think that is common for many women to do that in life. I think it started on here because some of us were not thinking it was worth posting unless there was something significant or interesting to post. The "itty bitty" news gave some of us permission to share what is going on no matter how insignificant we seemed to think it was to others.

Have a good day! :D

Anne, be careful what you wish for. No one tells me what I say is worth listening to. :D The shot in the arm didn’t hurt but the bra was killing me. Soup is done and ice cream for dessert because I deserve it. Two more weeks and I am out of here with mask of course. Porch Friend and I are going to go somewhere in the same suv. We might even hug. Tina, lean on that cart and walk longer. (((Hugs)))

You hit it right on the head, Barbie. I am one of those that have been here over time and watched active members fade away. I realize that our lives all change and there is a life beyond the internet. I laid back myself not to recently when physically and mentally I just wanted to crawl in a hole and hope to heal someday. I wonder sometimes if it is because so many of us are not our there like Beth and Judy living and traveling around the country anymore. Those blog stories and pictures and daring adventures were a different sort of inspiration, especially to new comers that needed encouragement. Most of us are of a different age now. We still need encouragement and camaraderie but sometimes for different reasons. So many have wandered away. I miss many of their voices not because I miss hearing about their dramatic adventures but because of their laugh or sense of humor or insight or perspective on the human existence big or small. Hey a lot of you love to share recipes, which a non cook like me finds fascinating and wishing we had large GTGers still so that I might have a possibility to taste some of these. I am one that believes that when we look back we might realize that all the "little" things were often the most important things.

Well said, Barbie! I had nothing to post, but once 'itty bitty' started, I tried to be more social. Not all news is itty bitty, and I think we can all recognize that.

Tina, I was one of those 11. :) I read before the coffee has taken hold and before brain is functioning. :) So glad you are doing well!

Shirl, I hope you have no side effects from the vaccination!

Tina, snuck in and, as always, expressed herself well!

Anita, after muscle spasms I’m not afraid of vaccine. I will use any excuse to eat ice cream. :D

Exactly, Barbie and those who followed. We were having days no one was posting. Since giving ourselves permission to post what we consider little things, we aren't having as many of those days.

Sadly, the forum will continue to dwindle in postings unless we find a way to bring new people here. Unfortunately most prefer FB. I've found over the years here I've made the best friends here. So when you are out and about, please give fellow women our site information ( www womenrv.com/forum ) and let them know we aren't a click and want them here. That they can be a part of our family. And tell them we try to approve new members daily so please come back the day after joining and post an intro which also needs to be approved. Then they are a full fledged member. (Unfortunately most who apply are bots, etc. This keeps almost all of them out.)

I think ANY news is good news. I like reading about people's day to day stuff. I don't lead that exciting a life but I like the contact with you all. Throughout the years I have found awesome support, suggestions, laughs from so many of the postings. I have made some wonderful friends thru this forum, some I have met and others we just forged a friendship on here. I was absolutely overwhelmed with everyone's support when I had the fire last year. I hope at some point I can be as supportive as you all were to me. Touched my heart in so many ways and I will never forget that So please continue to post no matter big or small. Some days I have big news, other days not so much. I like Facebook but I try to post here also, sometimes it is repetetive but I know you all know where that scroll button is LOL LOL

Hi ladies! I, too, like the itty bitty news, especially since someone's itty bitty is kind of neat! Like putting up shepherd hooks, spring flower pictures, travels, etc. I come here now everyday, several times a day to catch up.

Steve played pickleball today for the first time and fell flat on his face twice! He was struggling to get to the ball, leaned forward and down he went. He has a scratch on his nose from the second fall and is a little sore, but can't wait to play again. Lol! The painters were here today to do touch up painting in our casita. The furniture was supposed to be delivered but I guess they thought we would cancel again and now it's on the schedule for Thursday. It's taken this long, we can wait a couple more days. We even went out and bought some things for the kitchen & trash can for the bathroom.

It's time to read about a GTG somewhere.

Hi ladies~~~
Shirl, sorry the railing shepherd hook isn't quite right. Hopefully it will work out for you. Fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear Steve got a couple of bumps Irmi. Guessing his pride was hurt more than anything. None of us are as young as we used to be. :-(

Tina, baby steps but great news! Keep on, keeping on as they used to say.

Anne, I may be to blame for the itty bitty news. Sorry, but it's was just always something my family used to say, like try an itty bitty piece of (insert some food type here lol).

My most recent itty bitty is my brand new truck is in the shop. Filled up, and the delivery guy that morning had put gas in the underground diesal tank. By the time I got my truck to the dealer here in Port Lavaca, there were already 5 vehicles in before me. Murphy USA/Walmart has already approved the claim and rental car. Thankfully I'm at a KOA and they are helping me stay on sites, with them moving the camper if needed, first time will be tomorrow. Told them I'd sleep in the storage lot if I had to since it's now Spring break and they're booked. I've already canceled one reservation. Deep breath! I survived the hail storm. I'll survive this too. Just hope the truck is repaired correctly. Less than 7,000 miles on it.

That's it from me. But that's enough! :D

Well, I have BIG news--at least relatively speaking. I almost always stay at state, county, or national parks, but yesterday, the wind was bad, so I decided to quit driving and checked into a commercial RV park. My big news is that I did THREE WEEKS worth of laundry! Until I get both of my shots for COVID, I won't go into a commercial laundromat, so I had been washing things out in my tiny bathroom sink and letting them drip dry in the shower and then hanging them all over my rig.

And those of you who have run out of clean clothes while camping know that having everything clean is BIG news! I am staying at a commercial campground again in a little over two weeks, so will have another opportunity to do laundry then. See how exciting my on-the-road life is??? I also went shopping at Kohl's and Penney's and picked up a couple of small rugs and a pair of sweatsuit material shorts for hanging around inside. Hadn't been out for anything than groceries and hardware for over two months!

Am settled at the South Monticello Campground at Elephant Butte SP in New Mexico. Several months ago, I bought an annual out-of-state camping pass for $225. That means I can stay at any New Mexico State Park for free if I dry camp and $4 per night if I want electric. They do add taxes and a reservation fee, so it adds up to about $5.17 to $8.00 per night, and it has already paid for itself. I've used it for March and will use it for almost all of April and a handful of days in May. It will be good for all of 2021 and part of 2022, but unfortunately, I will be headed back to Michigan and Ohio. Would have used it for February, but they cancelled my reservations for that month.
