Another bright sunny day. Tree crew due here in an hour. Church via zoom at 11:30. First load laundry ready for dryer and towels in next. Hopefully Sean gets sink going again in kitchen because I need to wash dishes! BP very slowly creeping down on its way to better. Hope I get more accomplished this week, as I am behind in several things. And sure hope Friday vaccine 2 does not mess me up in any way ! Hope all of you are getting along ok and have a good day and week. Look forward to getting back to exercise routine .

good morning to All - it is going to be a beautiful day here in Vegas. but then cool down again next week. Hard to believe it was only 16 days ago that we left Mazatlan. It feels like it was months ago. I found a new fresh mouse, yes decided it is mice not rats, turd on my clean stove top! Still have not caught anything in any of the many traps. Discouraging.
My eyes have been bothering me a lot lately. Seems like everything is behind a fog. I was supposed to have cataract surgery a couple of years ago, but always something else going on. Think I will have to do it this year. Good to read that so many have had it with no problems. Also glad a lot are managing to get their vaccine. We get our 2nd shots the 30th. I don't think I had any reaction to the first one, but I was so tired from cleaning the mouse poop for everywhere that I don't know if it was the shot or the aggravation.
I did manage to get our appointment with our new doctor moved from April to next week. Our old doctor just disappear red so had to get new one with same organization. Hate going to new doctors, but he has to be better than the old one. Neither of us liked him.
Bill is already talking about going somewhere this summer in the RV. Right now I don't want to leave the house vacant again. Oh well.

Carol, while awaiting verdict on cataracts, make sure you aren't having blurring from dry eye. It's way more a factor than I realized. Now I have liquid tears near me at all times. Try several different brands, and if you plan cataract surgery, may as well look for the preservative free brands, as they advise ESP right away after cataract surgery, not not use tear drops with preservatives. Local pharmacy can help you find preservative free or type that into amazon. I found I like some brands better than others and formulas vary a little, some contain omega fats which help the tear layer which actually has 3 components including a layer of oily tear film to help keep moisture in. I was clueless until my eye Dr said, you have dry eyes, you need to treat it aggressively, so I began studying and trying different brands. Living in Vegas, where air is dry, that may be a component in your vision difficulties. Now days, a year post op, if I note blurriness or difficulty focusing, I can clear it immediately by using artificial tears.
You won't know what you have been missing until your first eye is done and you look outside closing one eye at a time to compare. I was amazed how much it improved getting that cataracted natural lens out of the way! Even as I lay on the operating table that day in Dec 2019, I wondered, do I really need this? Once I got outside that day, and compared new lens to natural still cataracted lens, I knew I was doing the right thing and never looked back! So even minutes after surgery, I could start to tell the huge improvement. And other than my "mapping" scars of epithelial basement membrane dystrophy, corrected this past fall, it's all been joyful improvement since cataract surgery. Painless and easy even without the sedation they offer. I don't like how my body feels with sedation so it was my choice in consult with my surgeon, to refuse it and I was fine. Not everyone wants to go that way, but either way it's easy surgery, takes only minutes in OR.

Another sunny day but it could warm up a little for me. Not much going on today. I got most of my car cleaned out. It's like a rolling closet. I'm not making much progress on loading the camper for tomorrow. I can't check in until after dinner so have tomorrow morning too.

I checked the cholesterol from my blood donation Thursday and it has gone down another 10 points. Guess eating oatmeal works. I am only eating what they say is a half serving. I might try eating a whole serving and see how that works.

I need to vacuum, the dust bunnies are getting pretty big. Sugar sheds worse than the cats.

Velda, glad your handy man is back. Barbie, Kerry lost a dog when a coyote jumped the fence a few years ago.

Sheila, do you use any additives in the gas for your generator? When I bought the Honda, it was suggested I use a small amount of stabilizer and something called Sea Foam. I bought them and never used them as I didn't use the generator much. I sold the generator and gave them the Sea Foam. Used the stabilizer in the Sling for winter.

Need to do laundry, vacuum, dishes, but I also have 3 library books to read - one is due soon!

Guess it is Good Afternoon now. Finished gathering all my tax info to take to Medford to my CPA on Tuesday. I was going to do it yesterday but the couple that came to pick up my Motorhome couldnt leave as early as they wanted because of snow. So got here about 2pm, we signed the Bill of Sale papers, and then went over so I could give them the a good tour of the MH. They have had an RV before so just needed to familiarize them with the workings of this one. Got a text from them and they got home and LOVED it so I am happy it went to a good home. When I go down to Medford on Tuesday I will go to the storage unit and give them all the RV stuff I have in there. They were my neighbors in Talent and they got burnt out also and are living in a 5er right now and moving to Tennessee in June as Mike is retiring and has family back there.

Have turkey thighs in the crockpot for today and tomorrow. They are smelling pretty darn good right now but wont be done for a while yet. Going to make a cup of hot chocolate and settle in for a movie. Might watch Coming to America 2. Heard mixed reviews but pretty sure I wont have to think much watching it LOL

I still haven't had the cataract surgery I was going to get last March. The sedation is the thing that has me hesitant. It apparently doesn't put you out you just don't remember. Did you get the lens where you can see near, far and close and if so how do you like it and what is it called It's been so long that I've forgotten a lot of what I read and that you told me last year. Also what brand of tear drops do you use? I know I have to do something soon as there are times when the sun is going down I can't drive and of course can't drive after dark.

Shirl, I love it! Didn't expect painting a wall would be allowed in an apartment! Keep forgetting to look at decals, but I will do that now. In the house we built, I did a lot of stenciling on walls.

I kept several wall hangings, large and small, that I look forward to seeing again! Some are my needlework and some were special gifts.

Beth, first, if you get a wall decal don’t get one with feathers because it is a son of a gun to remove paper without tearing. I gave up my home, management said you can’t paint walls, I needed something to make it mine. I like cliches, they help me mentally. This one spoke to me and it is true. Dreams might not be as grand but you need goals to get out of bed in the morning. Like planting a garden in your daugher’s raised bed. Oh! That cabinet came in a flat box and I put it together. “Justa keppa go.”

Anita I got permission to paint the wall. That manager has since been fired. I paid to have the wall painted. The decal is a vinyl stick on which peels off. I try to find easier ways to accomplish my goals as I age.
